Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth

Chapter 695: A Red Dot Appears

Twenty-four hours passed, and the Level 10 sandstorm came to an end.

Just as Walter had said, the Level 10 sandstorm only lasted for a day before vanishing.

Just one minute earlier, the Hara Desert was still being ravaged by the Level 10 sandstorm, with yellow sand swirling across the sky like an apocalyptic scene.

But a minute later, the wind died down completely—not even the slightest breeze remained. Looking at the calm dunes, it was as if everything that had just happened was an illusion.

The Light Screen shelter had already been withdrawn by Metagross. Maintaining it throughout the night in a Level 10 sandstorm had drained even Metagross, leaving it somewhat exhausted.

Julian now stood in front of Aggron, his heart aching as he looked at it. Its armor was pitted and dented all over, riddled with countless tiny holes from the relentless sandstorm.

Anyone with trypophobia would definitely be terrified just looking at it.

Moreover, due to the constant friction between the sand and its armor, the metal had grown extremely hot. Even though the sandstorm had stopped, the temperature of the armor had yet to drop.

Standing five meters away from Aggron, Julian was forced to stop by the waves of heat radiating from its body, unable to get any closer.

Aggron looked at Julian and patted its stomach: "Hungry."

Julian immediately took out some diamond ore and medicine.

Watching Aggron devour the diamonds, its condition visibly improved after taking the medicine.

As it continued eating the diamonds, its stamina rapidly recovered, and a powerful aura began brewing within Aggron.

Soon, a small whirlwind formed around Aggron, kicking up some sand that made Julian instinctively squint.

But the wind came and went quickly. As the whirlwind dissipated, Aggron's aura had completely changed.

"Pseudo-Champion, it was worth it," Julian grinned.

With Aggron joining the ranks, Julian now had three Pseudo-Champion-level Pokémon, solidifying his position among Pseudo-Champion trainers.

Previously, he only had two—although both were very powerful, the number was still on the lower side.

Moreover, Aggron's breakthrough was of great significance to Julian. Even at early-stage Pseudo-Champion level, Aggron should now be capable of withstanding attacks from early-stage Champion-level Pokémon.

Once its injuries fully healed, its defensive capabilities would become even more terrifying.

Seeing that Aggron had finished devouring the diamond ores, Julian returned it to its Poké Ball, allowing it to rest and recover properly.

"Walter, I've got things to do, so I'll take my leave first."

After saying that, Julian hopped onto Dragonite and flew off, not even giving them a chance to say goodbye.

Watching Julian disappear into the distance, Lena sighed in frustration: "I didn't even get to add his contact info…"

"Someone like him? Don't even think about it. A toad dreaming of eating swan meat."

Her brother Lucas sneered.

"Who are you calling a toad?! If I do end up with that 'swan,' wouldn't that benefit you too?!"

Lena grumbled angrily, twisting her brother's ear.

This guy really had no clue how to talk to people—no wonder he couldn't find a girlfriend, and even her best friend didn't like him.

"Enough fooling around. Let's hurry and search for treasures. Thanks to Young Master Walker, we're already in the middle layer of the Hara Desert, while others probably haven't even reached the outer areas yet," Walter said excitedly.

Due to the Level 10 sandstorm, Hara City and the surrounding towns had all been evacuated, and people would only return after the storm ended.

And once the sandstorm passed, the Hara Desert would see a massive increase in rare treasures, with the entire desert enjoying a full month of clear weather.

It was as if the heavens were deliberately giving treasure hunters the perfect opportunity.

Now that the sandstorm had just ended, the three of them were already in the middle layer—far safer than the perilous core area and far less crowded than the outer regions. Not only would there be more treasures here, but their quality would also be superior.

Reminded by their father, Lucas and Lena immediately perked up.

"Right, right! Treasure hunting! Once I'm strong enough, I'll make King Julian my personal consort!" Lena declared enthusiastically.

Lucas: 'You really dare to dream, huh.'

Walter: 'Thank goodness Young Master Walker left already…'

Meanwhile, Julian, now several dozen kilometers away, had Dragonite halt and handed the Dowsing Machine to Metagross.

"Metagross, use Teleport to scan the entire Hara Desert."

There were only two days left, and if Julian rode Dragonite to search the desert himself, it would take three days—just like it did last time.

With time running out, he could no longer do it himself. The only option was to rely on Metagross's Teleport to cover the entire desert with the Dowsing Machine.

During their first sweep of the Hara Desert, Metagross had already mapped out the entire desert in its supercomputer brain.

Its Teleport could cover a maximum distance of 300 kilometers at once, while the Dowsing Machine's range was 50 kilometers. Given the size of the Hara Desert, Metagross only needed to Teleport about 20 times to cover everything.

"Meta~"

Metagross nodded.

Its supercomputer brain had already calculated the most efficient teleportation points—in fact, it only needed 15 jumps to complete the scan.

Watching Metagross vanish, Julian patted Dragonite's back, signaling it to fly a little higher. The constant chattering of Trapinch jaws below was getting annoying.

After the Level 10 sandstorm, the wild Pokémon in the Hara Desert had become much more active, with most of them gaining a noticeable boost in strength.

Julian was currently right above a Trapinch colony—hundreds of them hidden beneath the sand. Each one had turned the surrounding sand into a funnel trap. Any unfortunate creature that slipped in would slide straight into their razor-sharp jaws and be crushed instantly.

"I hope we find the Glossy Ganoderma this time," Julian muttered to himself.

If the Glossy Ganoderma still hadn't appeared, he'd have no choice but to use the Ice Core to freeze his grandmother's remaining life force, preserving her in stasis.

---

"Meta~"

About half a day later, Metagross returned.

"Well?" Julian asked urgently.

"Meta~"

Metagross: "There's a big red dot inside that Tyranitar's mountain. Can't confirm if it's the Glossy Ganoderma."

Since the Tyranitar was at the late-stage of Champion-level, Metagross hadn't risked going inside.
