POKEMON: PICK UP THE MYSTICAL POKEMON DIANCIE AT THE BEGINNING

Chapter 30: Chapter 30: Big Characters Burst Into Flames

After Victor's match concluded, the next contestant was Kong . Her Psychic Pokémon, known for their exceptional abilities, secured her a swift victory.

In the senior high school competition, Victor and Kong advanced to the top four. The semi-final matchups were as follows:

Victor vs. Roman

Tessa vs. Kong

Tessa faced a disadvantage due to Kong's Psychic-type Pokémon, which countered her Fighting types. If Tessa's Pancham had evolved into Pangoro (Dark/Fighting), she would have stood a better chance.

---

First Match: Victor vs. Roman

Roman's Pokémon, Corvisquire and SWABLU, took to the skies. However, Victor's Torracat countered with relentless flames, forcing them to exhaust their energy. As the saying goes, "I can fail countless times, but you can only fail once." Eventually, Corvisquire and SWABLU were overwhelmed, securing Victor's victory.

---

Second Match: Tessa vs. Kong

Tessa sent out her Pangoro to face Kong's Solosis. The two Pokémon were evenly matched in strength, but Pangoro was disadvantaged by its Fighting type against Solosis's Psychic abilities. Despite a valiant effort, Pangoro fell.

Tessa's second Pokémon, Machoke, managed to overpower Solosis with its superior strength.

Pokémon Profile:

Name: Machoke

Type: Fighting

Level: 27

Moves: Leer, Low Kick, Focus Energy, Revenge, Low Sweep, Bullet Punch, Dual Chop, Thunder Punch, Dynamic Punch, Bulk Up

Despite its enhanced strength, Machoke struggled against Kong's Sigilyph, a Psychic/Flying type. Sigilyph, assisted by Kong's telekinesis, kept its distance and attacked from the air. After a prolonged battle, Machoke succumbed to its injuries. Kong advanced to the final.

Tessa, though defeated, vowed to overcome type disadvantages in the future and face Kong again as an equal.

The Final: Victor vs. Kong

The audience overwhelmingly favored Victor, confident that Kong's Psychic-assisted Pokémon stood no chance against his elite-level Carbink.

Rules:

Each trainer could use two Pokémon, switching freely. The first to eliminate both of their opponent's Pokémon would win.

Kong Lingwei started with Solosis, while Victor surprised everyone by sending out Torracat instead of Carbink.

---

The Match Begins

Kong ordered Solosis to use Psyshock, aiming to quickly defeat Torracat. However, Victor countered with High-Five Surprise Attack. The move disrupted Solosis's charge, leaving it vulnerable. Without delay, Victor followed up with Flame Charge and Shadow Claw, knocking Solosis out of the match.

Kong , shaken, sent out Sigilyph as her second Pokémon. Encouraged by Kong's psychic link, Sigilyph confidently entered the battlefield. Kong commanded it to use Calm Mind to boost its stats, but Torracat disrupted the process with a swift Flame Charge, momentarily grounding Sigilyph.

Eventually, Sigilyph managed to take flight and enhanced its stats further. The battle intensified as Torracat and Sigilyph exchanged powerful moves, with Torracat using Shadow Claw and Sigilyph countering with Psychic.

---

The Decisive Move: Inferno Overdrive

As the battle reached its climax, Torracat's flame sac glowed brightly, producing a loud ringing sound. Victor recognized the moment and commanded Torracat to unleash its full power.

Torracat released a massive fireball, which formed into a large flaming "大" (Big) character as it soared toward Sigilyph. Despite Kong Lingwei's efforts to bolster Sigilyph with her psychic abilities, the overwhelming power of Inferno Overdrive broke through its defenses.

The fiery attack struck Sigilyph directly, causing a small explosion. When the flames cleared, Sigilyph lay unconscious on the battlefield. Kong , realizing she was defeated, acknowledged Victor's superior skills.

---

Victor emerged victorious in the final, solidifying his status as a top-tier trainer.
