Natsume's phone on the nightstand kept ringing.

Natsume stretched out from the bed and reached for it.

"Buneary~"

Buneary ran in.

It jumped onto Natsume's bed with the phone and handed it to her.

"Thanks, Buneary."

Natsume took the phone and kissed Buneary on the cheek.

"Buneary~"

Natsume checked the Ranch notifications on her phone and then turned to Buneary, who was resting beside her pillow, and asked, "Buneary, is Sandslash already in the field?"

"Buneary~"

Buneary nodded.

"That guy."

Natsume sat up in bed and walked toward the large balcony.

"Farfetch'd!"

In front of the house,

Farfetch'd was diligently swinging its Leek!

Its training method was simple: constantly using moves against the air.

Houndoom had completed a patrol around the farm and returned.

"Farfetch'd!"

Farfetch'd blocked Houndoom's path and initiated a challenge!

"Houndoom!"

Houndoom accepted the battle.

"Farfetch'd!"

Farfetch'd immediately charged toward Houndoom, dragging its Leek with it.

Farfetch'd was still wearing the Macho Brace.

This significantly limited its performance.

Houndoom easily dodged Farfetch'd's attacks.

"Noibat~"

Noibat flew in while yawning.

While everyone else was awake, Noibat was ready to go to sleep.

"Did anything happen last night?"

Natsume let Noibat rest on her shoulder.

"Noibat~"

Noibat shook its head.

It had been guarding the roof of the house all night and hadn't encountered any wild Pokémon or strange people.

In the later part of the night, Houndoom and the others woke up, and Noibat had gone out for a little stroll.

"Good job, go get some sleep."

Noibat flapped its wings and flew into the closet.

Natsume went to the living room.

Another Buneary was helping Rotom prepare breakfast.

It was quite skilled at chores and had already learned how to make some simple food.

Like sandwiches.

Frying two eggs, slicing two tomatoes, and adding a piece of meat.

Once toasted and stacked together, a giant sandwich was complete.

"Buneary~"

Buneary brought the breakfast to Natsume and looked at her expectantly.

Natsume took a bite and praised, "This is great, Buneary."

"You've reached the level to open a restaurant."

Buneary jumped up happily at Natsume's flattery.

Natsume laughed and said, "Buneary, could you please call Sandslash and the others over?"

"I have something to discuss shortly."

"Buneary~"

Buneary nodded and cheerfully ran outside.

Since Dragonair and the others had grown stronger, Natsume decided to visit Aoi District.

Aoi District is the largest wild Pokémon sanctuary in Hokkaido.

All Pokémon living in Hokkaido can be encountered there.

"Dragonair~"

Dragonair flew in through the window.

"Good morning, Dragonair."

Natsume stroked Dragonair's chin and then took out the Light Clay.

"Dragonair, this is for you."

Dragonair opened its mouth and swallowed the Light Clay.

Light Clay can increase the effects of moves like Light Screen and Reflect.

Any Pokémon can use it.

Natsume currently lacked high-level combat power, so he planned to raise Dragonair's level first.

Dragonair learned new moves: Aqua Tail, Safeguard, Dragon Rush, and Light Screen.

"Dragonair~"

Dragonair felt the energy within and comfortably let out a satisfied burp before starting to shed its skin.

Before long, Sandslash and the others were all summoned into the living room by Buneary.

Natsume looked at Sandslash and the others. "Everyone, after breakfast, we will first plant the Hearty Grains."

"Once the Hearty Grains are planted, I intend to take a trip. The others will stay home and plant the Pecha Berry tree seedlings."

After saying this, Natsume looked at everyone. "The purpose of going to Aoi District is to capture more companions who can help out."

"Who wants to go?"

"Dragonair~"

Dragonair eagerly called out.

Natsume smiled at Dragonair. "You'll be the driver this time."

"Of course I want to go."

Sandslash showed some hesitation.

Natsume looked at Sandslash and said, "Sandslash, don't overthink it. Just help me with the Rototiller at home."

"Sandslash~"

Sandslash gladly agreed.

"Farfetch'd!"

Farfetch'd wanted to stay behind to continue training.

"That's fine."

"Houndoom~"

Houndoom, the leader, felt that protecting the territory was more important.

So Houndoom and all the Houndour chose to stay.

"Servine~"

Servine wanted to go out with Natsume.

"Awooo~"

Arcanine wanted to go too.

Natsume nodded slightly. "Alright, it will be me, Arcanine, Dragonair, and Servine heading out this time."

"The others will stay to watch the house."

"Buneary~"

Buneary eagerly tugged at Natsume's clothes.

They wanted to go out with Natsume as well.

Natsume rubbed their heads. "This time, going to Aoi District will likely involve a lot of battles."

"You should stay at home for now."

"Next time we go out to play, we can all go together."

Natsume's two Buneary typically didn't enjoy battling.

Furthermore, Natsume didn't plan to bring too many Pokémon this time.

Three Pokémon were already enough.

"Buneary."

Buneary looked at Natsume with a bit of reluctance.

Natsume smiled and said, "Alright, next time I go out, I'll definitely bring you both."

After hearing Natsume's assurance, Buneary became happy again.

After finishing their meal, Natsume brought everyone to the fields.

Sandslash excitedly looked at the Hearty Grains growing in the land.

Natsume smiled and said, "Sandslash, while we're away these next few days, please take care of these Hearty Grains."

"Sandslash~"

Natsume took out the Pecha Berry tree seedlings and said to Rotom, "Rotom, later you and everyone else will plant these tree seedlings."

"Can I count on you to take care of it?"

"Of course, Rotom~"
