Chapter 34: Chapter 34 - Pokémon Water Safari
The next day, early as before the sunrise, Dawn and her team left the hotel where she had been staying, and went to the airport to board a plane back to the Sinnoh region, her home region.
Later, after breakfast, the Cruz family and their Pokémon went to a cable car station to take a cable car down to the coastal part of the mountainous city known as Blue Northern Point, while most locals called it Blue Water Point, due to a popular water safari and harbor. There Rico and his team walked up to a souvenir store to look at items available. After minutes of looking and browsing, Rico had seen a Great Ball for 600 Poké Dollars. He then get one and went to the cashiers to pay for it, thinking about catching a rare Pokémon. After that, he and his team left the store and headed for the harbor where the water safari is. There they and Rico's parents and their Pokémon went to the cashiers to buy tickets.
"Hello, sir, welcome to the Blue Safari Harbor," the cashier politely and brightly greeted them. "How can I help you?"
"Three tickets for the Empoleon Island hopping, please," Lucas politely and brightly asked. "Two adults and one child."
Calculating the total price, the cashier replied, "Okay, that'll be 250 Poké Dollars, please. Cash or card?"
Getting some Poké Dollar banknotes from his black leather wallet, Lucas gave the money to the cashier without any extras.
Receiving the money, the cashier gave them their tickets and wished them good luck and to enjoy the hopping.
Receiving the tickets, Lucas politely replied, "Thank you so much."
He and his group then left the cashiers' desk and proceeded to the harbors to ride a tour ferry.
At the harbors, the family boarded their assigned tour ferry. There are lots of people and tourists there on board, almost filling up the two decks, and there are many, small and big, common and rare, advantage and disadvantage, on board with their Trainers.
Once they had settled on an empty row of seats, the family called out their Pokémon, Azumarill, Samurott, Magneton, Riolu, Litleo, Starly, and Absol, and allowed them to view and roam on the deck. They were excited, and went around the deck to view the beautiful blue sea. Just then, the anchor was hoisted up, and the tour ferry started to depart for the tour.
20 minutes later, in a slow, but, cruising speed, the tour ferry went across the straits between the islands as the tour guide explained to the group about the islands themselves via a megaphone. The group are listening to her while some jotting down some notes in their small notebooks and notepads. Others are looking at the small archipelago and taking pictures using their cameras and other handheld gadgets. Rico and his team are amazed at the scenery of the islands, with Rico taking pictures using his smartphone. His Pokémon team really enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Rosario and Lucas are gazing while holding hands to each other.
Later, at 9:29 a.m., the tour ferry arrived at the Piplup Island with the distance outside of the "privacy zone", an exclusive zone between the Piplup Island and the shipping zone where ships are forbidden to be in. The captain of the tour ferry then parked his tour ferry in just the right distance from the privacy zone, and the tour guide eventually introduced the Piplup Island to the group.
Upon seeing the tour ferry, almost all of the Piplups, Prinplups, and Empoleons gathered at the snowy beach coast of the island and showed off their talents in order to impress the tourists. The tourists are amazed by their diverse talents, taking pictures without flash because the tour guide forbid them to do so due to the flash's effects on the Pokémon themselves. Trainers looked at their Pokédexes, both local and foreign, for information about them.
Rico and his family and team are very amazed at their combined talent. Rico then pulled out his Pokédex and pointed it at one of the Prinplups; his Pokédex then responded, "Prinplup, the Penguin Pokémon, and the evolved form of Piplup. A Water-type. Its wings deliver wicked blows that snap even the thickest of trees. It searches for prey in icy seas."
"Wow, so amazing," Rico commented. He then put his Pokédex back in his shoulder bag and resumed looking at the Piplup Island.
