"Ditto, Annihilape, Glare, Cross Chop!"

The bond built over the past few days had made Tyson's instructions concise and effective.

The Ditto, which had just transformed into a Sylveon to close the distance with Scyther, immediately morphed into an Annihilape at the command. Its furious expression made Glare exceptionally effective.

With a swift Cross Chop, Scyther flinched in pain, visibly shaken.

"Ditto, Charizard, Flamethrower!"

In one leap, Ditto transformed into Charizard, soaring into the air.

A stream of flames erupted, engulfing Scyther in an instant. Before Ditto could follow up, Scyther fell, unable to continue the battle.

With each fight, Ditto's combat prowess grew more refined.

Later, Tyson formulated a plan to further hone Ditto's abilities. Once they reached Vermilion City, he resolved to focus on battles against other trainers to expose Ditto to a broader range of opponents.

"Let's wrap it up here for today," Tyson announced.

He turned to Ditto with a reassuring smile. "Once we're in Vermilion City, you'll get to test yourself against Pokémon from all sorts of trainers. The variety will be invaluable."

Tyson retrieved Scyther's Poké Ball and sent it back to Shadow before ending Ditto's training for the day.

Noticing Annihilape's eager gaze, Tyson chuckled. Unlike Ditto, Annihilape's intense expression made its excitement seem more like a warning.

"All right, all right. Don't worry, I won't forget about you," Tyson promised. "When the time comes, you'll get your chance too."

Satisfied for now, Annihilape calmed down as Kadabra prepared to teleport the group. In a flash, they reached the outskirts of Vermilion City.

Vermilion City, situated by the sea, served as a bustling port for ships from across the Pokémon world. The iconic S.S. Anne, a luxury cruise liner, frequently docked here, adding to the city's reputation.

The Vermilion Gym, led by Lt. Surge, also drew trainers from far and wide. Known for his electrifying tactics and formidable team, Lt. Surge was a Gym Leader not to be underestimated.

Upon arrival, Tyson prioritized registering at the Vermilion Gym before heading to the Pokémon Center. The lively atmosphere at the Gym was on par with Saffron City, drawing even casual trainers to test their mettle.

At the Pokémon Center, Tyson contacted Agatha of the Elite Four to confirm the delivery of a promised Pokémon.

"Master, I've arrived at the Pokémon Center. Is it convenient to send over the Pokémon now?"

Agatha's reply was swift but irritable. "You're impatient as ever, aren't you? Fine, I'll send it over. The evolution item you'll need will follow in a few days. Don't bother me again until then."

Shortly after, a Poké Ball materialized through the transfer system. Tyson thanked Agatha and wasted no time heading to a private training room to meet his new partner.

Tyson released the Pokémon from the Poké Ball, and a white light materialized into a little Charcadet.

Charcadet, a Fire-type Pokémon from the Paldea region, resembled a young warrior clad in black armor, with a flickering flame atop its head. Its chest was adorned with a red and yellow pattern resembling a vest.

"Hello, Charcadet. We'll be partners from now on," Tyson said warmly, offering a snack to the wide-eyed Pokémon.

Charcadet, still wary, couldn't resist the treat for long. Gradually, it relaxed and began to trust Tyson.

Tyson introduced Charcadet to the rest of the team: Charizard, Sylveon, Kadabra, Annihilape, and Ditto. With Sylveon's natural charm, it wasn't long before Charcadet started feeling at home.

As the team bonded, Tyson examined Charcadet's information:

Pokémon: Charcadet

Gender: Male

Ability: Flash Fire

Strength: Beginner Level

Moves: Ember, Leer, Astonish, Clear Smog

Egg Moves: Will-O-Wisp, Destiny Bond, Night Shade

Tyson was pleased to see Flash Fire as Charcadet's ability, which would complement Charizard's potential Sunny Day strategy.

Rather than pushing the team into intensive training, Tyson allowed Charcadet to observe and interact with the others. With time, it would learn the dynamics and grow stronger.
