Pokémon: Ash's New Journey

Chapter 51: Fusion of Fire and Water vs. Earth Storm!

Facing Tucker's Swampert and Arcanine, Ash made his choice.

"Swellow, Heracross, it's up to you!"

Ash didn't have many Pokémon who knew the move Feint Attack. Swellow's level was around 40, while Heracross, an experienced member of Ash's team, was nearing level 50.

"Now, let the match begin!"

"Swellow, use Agility!"

"Heracross, use Pin Missile on both Swampert and Arcanine to disrupt their positioning!"

The battle kicked off with Swellow and Heracross both using their moves.

"Excellent, simply beautiful! That Swellow has such wonderful speed! Swampert, use Mud Shot to block the Pin Missiles, and Arcanine, use Flamethrower on Heracross!" Tucker exclaimed, his characteristic phrase, "Simply beautiful!" echoing through the arena.

All four Pokémon were actively engaged in releasing their moves.

"Heracross, dodge Flamethrower by flying up, and keep using Pin Missile to disrupt both opponents!"

"Swellow, use Agility again!"

Despite Ash's Pokémon having a level disadvantage, he felt confident. He knew Tucker's defensive skills and the Pokémon he was up against.

Tucker laughed, catching on to Ash's strategy. "So, Ash, you're using Heracross as a shield to increase Swellow's speed. It's a wonderful strategy, but I'll counter it! Arcanine, use Extreme Speed, then Aerial Ace to keep up with Swellow!"

"Swampert, aim a Mud Bomb at that Swellow!"

Ash smiled. Tucker had fallen into his trap as expected.

"Swellow, dodge Arcanine with Quick Attack and use Aerial Ace on Swampert!"

The match intensified, with the crowd cheering louder with every move! Arcanine closed in on Swellow with Extreme Speed, moving like a flash. But with Swellow's double Agility and Quick Attack, it dodged Arcanine even though Aerial Ace is known for its accuracy!

Arcanine missed its target and found itself airborne with no footing!

On the other side, Swellow's Aerial Ace neutralized the Mud Bomb, even affecting Swampert.

"Not good! Swampert, support Arcanine quickly and use Protect!"

Tucker, as a Frontier Brain, quickly realized how dangerous Arcanine's situation was. But it was too late!

Ash had intentionally raised Swellow's speed, anticipating Tucker would try to outpace it with Arcanine. This pattern was typical of Tucker's style: pushing his challengers to extraordinary performances, only to counter them with his own power.

Realizing he'd been tricked, Tucker still wore a smile, acknowledging Ash's strategy.

"Swellow, use Hurricane to lift both Swampert and Arcanine higher!"

"Heracross, use Feint to break through Protect!"

Feint, a perfect counter to Protect, successfully broke Swampert's shield. Then, Hurricane swept both Swampert and Arcanine even higher! The violent winds disoriented the two Pokémon, making it impossible for Arcanine to use Aerial Ace due to its lack of footing.

"Swellow, Brave Bird!"

"Heracross, Mega Horn!"

The Flying and Bug-type attacks hit Swampert and Arcanine with great force, inflicting significant damage. Tucker was visibly shocked but remained composed, revealing his ultimate combo!

"Well done, Ash! Even I was fooled. But how will you deal with this combo?" Swampert's tail rose, drawing in water molecules from the air.

Tucker caught Ash's intention to let him go all out, knowing he wanted to show Ash the extent of his own power.

"Haha, I see, Ash. Let's see you counter this! Swampert, with all the water absorbed, use Water Pulse and Aqua Tail at full power! Arcanine, use your strongest Fire Blast! Let's go, 'Fusion of Fire and Water!'"

Aqua Tail and Water Pulse combined, unleashing a powerful Water-type force that merged with the blazing Fire Blast, creating a fiery water tornado covering most of the battlefield, hurtling towards Swellow and Heracross!

"So this is the Fusion of Fire and Water. Spectacular and powerful. But now it's our turn! Earth Storm!"

Swellow and Heracross leaped into action together!
