Pokémon: Ash's New Journey

Chapter 109: Steel Resolve – The Last Battle Begins!

"Regirock is unable to battle. Snorlax wins!"

As Scott announced the verdict, it marked Ash's victory in the second round of this intense challenge.

"Whew… That match was nerve-wracking!" Misty said, pretending to wipe nonexistent sweat from her brow.

May shared the sentiment, clutching her Mini-Snorlax plush tightly as if it could absorb her tension.

"Pika… Pika!" Pikachu, left on the sidelines to watch, had been laser-focused the entire time.

Suddenly, Ash's system chimed in his mind:

["Ding! Congratulations, Host! Charizard has successfully defeated Regice, gaining 65,500 battle experience points! Snorlax has successfully defeated Regirock, gaining 67,500 battle experience points! The battle experience synchronization feature is now activated!"]

The notification continued:

["Ding! You've successfully used the x8 Experience Multiplier Card. Charizard and Snorlax each gain 106,400 experience points!"]

With this tremendous boost, the results were instant:

Charizard's level skyrocketed from 72 to 77, advancing deep into the Champion-tier strength bracket.

Snorlax, starting at level 62, soared all the way to 71, breaking into the Champion tier as well.

Ash could feel the excitement coursing through him. His Pokémon weren't just strong—they were evolving into forces to be reckoned with, capable of taking on even the strongest trainers and Pokémon in the world.

As the battlefield settled, Brandon's keen eyes landed on Snorlax.

"Strange…" Brandon muttered, narrowing his gaze. "That Snorlax… It feels different. Stronger, somehow. Almost as if it broke through a barrier…"

Though he shook the thought away, dismissing it as a trick of his imagination, the reality was far from it.

"Well done, Ash. Your Snorlax truly sets itself apart. But now comes the final challenge. If you can defeat my ace, you'll have conquered the Battle Frontier!"

Brandon retrieved a Poké Ball from his belt, his voice carrying a mix of pride and anticipation.

"Go, Registeel!"

The steel-clad titan emerged with a commanding presence, its metallic body gleaming under the stadium lights.

"Re-gisss…"

Ash immediately used his system to analyze its level. 79! A Champion-tier Pokémon at its peak. No wonder Registeel had proven nearly invincible in the past.

"Snorlax, can you keep going?" Ash asked with determination.

"Snorrrr!" Snorlax growled, shaking the ground as it stomped forward.

"Very well, then!" Brandon declared. "Registeel, use Lock-On!"

Ash wasn't fazed. "Snorlax, don't let it scare you. Charge forward with Focus Punch!"

Snorlax roared and launched itself at Registeel, its massive fist glowing with power.

Registeel countered by crossing its arms to block the blow. The impact sent shockwaves across the arena, yet the Steel Titan managed to absorb most of the attack's force.

"Excellent, Registeel! Hold its arm and use Zap Cannon!"

"Regis!"

At point-blank range, the electrified blast struck Snorlax squarely. Its bulk softened the blow, but the paralysis began to set in.

"Snorlax, fight through it! Use Close Combat!"

Despite the pain and paralysis, Snorlax powered through, its relentless punches raining down on Registeel.

"Registeel, Sandstorm!"

As the battlefield turned into a swirling maelstrom of sand and dust, Ash realized the danger.

"Wait, Snorlax, stop—"

But it was too late. Snorlax had already charged up a Hyper Beam and unleashed it blindly into the storm.

The attack missed its mark, and Registeel capitalized on the opening.

"Now, Registeel, use Hammer Arm!"

With precision and force, Registeel struck Snorlax's massive frame, sending it flying backward. Even as Snorlax tried to counter with an Ice Punch, Registeel's overwhelming strength left it unable to continue the fight.

"Snorlax is unable to battle. Registeel wins!"

Ash recalled his Snorlax, his voice calm and steady.

"You've done enough, buddy. Rest up—you've earned it."

Though Snorlax had fallen, its efforts were far from futile. Registeel was visibly exhausted, its breathing heavy and movements slower after enduring Snorlax's relentless attacks.

Brandon smirked. "Your Snorlax is truly exceptional, Ash. But this isn't over yet. What's your next move?"

Ash's gaze hardened.

"Let's go, Tyranitar!"

The ground trembled as the massive Rock/Dark Pokémon emerged with a roar, ready to take the stage.

The final clash was about to begin
