Chapter 1: Pokémon: Akhi’s Journey Begins
The sun had just begun to rise over **Pallet Town**, casting golden hues across the quiet village. The morning air was fresh, filled with the distant chirps of **Pidgeys** and the occasional rustle of the grass. Today wasn't just any ordinary day—it was the day **Akhi** had been waiting for his entire life. Today, he would become a **Pokémon Trainer**.
Akhi stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his **black hoodie with golden lines**. His **sleek black hair** was combed neatly, reflecting his determined personality. No cap, no unnecessary accessories—just him, his confidence, and the adventure that awaited him.
"Today's the day," he muttered to himself, his **golden-lined hoodie** glowing in the soft morning light.
Without wasting another second, he dashed down the stairs, his mother smiling warmly at him. "Excited, aren't you?" she teased.
"You have no idea," Akhi replied with a grin.
She handed him a small **bag with essential supplies**, including a few Potions and Poké Balls. "Be safe out there, and remember—Pokémon are more than just battles. Treat them like family."
"I will," Akhi promised before rushing out the door.
### **Meeting Professor Oak**
The **Pokémon Lab** stood tall in the heart of Pallet Town, its large dome-shaped roof gleaming in the sunlight. Akhi pushed the doors open, greeted by the sight of **Professor Oak**, the famous Pokémon researcher, standing beside a table holding three Poké Balls.
"Ah, Akhi! Right on time," Professor Oak said with a smile. "Today, you begin your journey as a Pokémon Trainer."
Akhi's eyes were drawn to the three Poké Balls on the table, each containing a **starter Pokémon**.
Oak gestured toward them. "Inside these Poké Balls are three Pokémon—**Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle**. Each one has its strengths. Choose wisely."
Akhi didn't even hesitate. "I choose **Bulbasaur**."
Oak chuckled. "A fine choice. Bulbasaur is a great partner, especially for new Trainers."
He picked up the Poké Ball and handed it to Akhi. The young boy pressed the button in the center, releasing the Pokémon inside.
A bright flash of light materialized into a small, quadrupedal Pokémon with green skin and a plant bulb on its back. It looked up at Akhi with curious, bright eyes.
"Bulba!" it chirped.
Akhi knelt down and gently placed a hand on Bulbasaur's head. "Hey there, buddy. We're gonna be partners from now on."
Professor Oak handed Akhi a **Pokédex** and five **Poké Balls**. "This Pokédex will help you learn about Pokémon, and these Poké Balls will help you catch them."
As Akhi took the items, Professor Oak sighed and muttered, "Red already left about fifteen minutes ago."
Akhi's eyes widened. **Red**—a fellow Pallet Town Trainer—had already started his journey.
Before he could process that thought further, the lab door suddenly swung open.
### **A Rival Appears!**
"Tch, took you long enough."
Standing at the entrance was **Blue Oak**, the professor's grandson. He had a confident smirk plastered on his face, arms crossed over his chest.
"I just got my Pokémon, and I can already tell it's way stronger than yours," Blue boasted, tossing his Poké Ball into the air. "Go, **Squirtle**!"
A small, blue turtle-like Pokémon emerged, standing firmly on its two legs. It looked at Bulbasaur with a determined glare.
Akhi grinned. "Is that a challenge?"
Blue scoffed. "Obviously. A real Trainer starts off with a battle. Unless you're too scared?"
Akhi smirked. "Let's do this."
Professor Oak sighed but smiled. "Well, I suppose a battle would be a good way to test your new Pokémon. Just don't destroy my lab."
### **Battle Start: Akhi vs. Blue**
Blue wasted no time. "Squirtle, use **Tackle**!"
Squirtle dashed forward and rammed into Bulbasaur, pushing it back slightly. Akhi narrowed his eyes.
"Bulbasaur, counter with **Tackle**!"
Bulbasaur shook off the hit and charged at Squirtle, slamming into it with equal force. The two Pokémon exchanged Tackles, neither willing to back down.
Blue grinned. "Heh, Squirtle's tougher than you think! **Tail Whip!**"
Squirtle wagged its tail cutely, lowering Bulbasaur's **Defense**. Akhi knew he had to act fast before Squirtle could take advantage of it.
"Bulbasaur, use **Magic Leaf**!"
Bulbasaur's bulb glowed as it launched **shimmering green leaves** at Squirtle. The attack was fast and accurate, striking Squirtle head-on. Since **Magic Leaf never misses**, there was no chance for Squirtle to dodge.
Blue's eyes widened. "What?! That's not a move Bulbasaur should have!"
Akhi smirked. "Egg move. Guess I got lucky."
Blue gritted his teeth. "Squirtle, use **Tackle** again!"
Squirtle charged forward, but Akhi was ready. "Bulbasaur, one more **Magic Leaf**!"
The glowing leaves struck Squirtle mid-charge, sending it tumbling to the ground. It tried to stand up but collapsed.
**Squirtle fainted!**
Professor Oak clapped his hands. "Well done, Akhi! That was an excellent battle."
Blue groaned, recalling Squirtle. His hands balled into fists. "Ugh, I can't believe I lost…" He looked at Akhi, frustration visible in his eyes. But then, he smirked. "Enjoy this win while you can. I'm going to get stronger. Next time, I won't lose."
With that, Blue turned and stormed out of the lab.
Akhi smiled and looked down at his Bulbasaur. "We did it, buddy."
Bulbasaur nuzzled against Akhi's leg affectionately.
Professor Oak chuckled. "Your journey is just beginning, Akhi. If you truly wish to become a great Trainer, you should head to **Viridian City** and challenge the Pokémon League someday."
Akhi nodded. "That's the plan."
**The Journey Begins**
With his Pokédex, his first Pokémon, and a newfound sense of confidence, Akhi stepped outside the lab, taking in the view of **Route 1** stretching ahead.
The wind ruffled his hoodie as he took his first steps forward, leaving behind the quiet town that had been his home. His adventure had begun, and he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
With Bulbasaur by his side, Akhi was determined to become a
Pokémon Master .
