Pokémon: A Trainer Who Masters the Six Powers from the Start

Chapter 112: Chapter 112: A Fight to the Death

"Quick, seal the breach!"

"Get the injured humans and Pokémon to the Pokémon Center—hurry, hurry, hurry!"

"You bastards, I'll fight you to the end!"

The battlefield was alive with roars, cries of pain, and desperate pleas for help.

Standing atop the barricades, Ron was flanked by his trusted companions, Bellossom and Kirlia.

Bellossom played the role of healer once again, spreading Grassy Terrain to aid the injured while occasionally using moves like Magical Leaf to assist.

Kirlia, standing to Ron's left, was less effective as a healer due to her level. Even with Heal Pulse, her impact on Elite Pokémon—whether beginner or intermediate—was limited.

However, Kirlia's role was far from insignificant. She was a critical component of Ron's strategy.

In the chaotic battlefield filled with overlapping cries and commands, trainers could hardly issue precise instructions to their Pokémon unless they were nearby.

Kirlia, using her psychic abilities, locked onto the positions of Machamp and Persian. Through Telepathy, she relayed Ron's commands to them.

She also surveyed the surrounding area, analyzing the battlefield, and occasionally monitored the village to ensure Daniel and others weren't in danger.

The multi-tasking demanded by this role was a severe test of Kirlia's abilities.

If not for Ron using Fighting Aura to restore Bellossom and Kirlia's stamina, both would have collapsed from exhaustion.

Observing the battlefield ahead, Ron had a nagging feeling the enemy wasn't giving their all. It seemed as if they were waiting for something, their attacks repeatedly neutralized by the defenders of Moonshade Village.

Jovanni, sensing this as well, reorganized the defense. He ensured the guards and villagers could rotate between offense and rest, conserving their strength for potential emergencies.

In the forest, villagers hidden under the guidance of the guards faced an unexpected threat.

During the first wave of attacks, the Crimson Flame Poaching Group unleashed a wildfire, forcing villagers and guards to reveal themselves to command their Water-type Pokémon to extinguish the flames.

Seizing the opportunity, the poachers launched an assault.

Fire-type Pokémon charged into the forest, relentlessly releasing moves like Flamethrower. Within moments, the forest was ablaze.

As the fire spread, Heracross scattered instinctively, becoming prime targets for the poachers.

"Don't let a single Heracross escape!"

A triumphant voice echoed through the woods. Hog, the leader of the Crimson Flame Poaching Group, directed his subordinates to begin capturing Pokémon.

Beside Hog stood his Magmortar, staring disdainfully at the Heracross flitting about in the air.

An Elite-level Pokémon itself, Magmortar had no interest in these Pokémon, whose levels were either below Elite or just scraping its lower tiers.

"Everyone, use Water Gun—together!"

"Villagers and guards with Heracross, command them to communicate with the wild Heracross and fight alongside us against the invaders!"

Jets of water cascaded like a waterfall, dousing the flames.

The one giving orders was Wesson, the deputy captain of the village guard. His primary Pokémon was Blastoise, an Elite-level powerhouse.

"Well, finally someone decent. Let's see if you can handle us."

"Everyone, attack! Use fire to cover the battle and wipe them out!"

Hog's tone was nonchalant, but inwardly, he heightened his vigilance.

Both his Magmortar and Wesson's Blastoise were Elite-tier Pokémon, and their auras suggested they were evenly matched.

Magmortar, however, had a disadvantage due to its Fire typing. Hog's plan was simple: drag out the battle and let his experienced subordinates overpower the villagers.

"Magmortar, use Fire Blast!"

"Blastoise, counter with Hydro Pump!"

Fire and water collided, dissipating into a cloud of steam.

Leaving the battle commands to others, Wesson focused on Hog, determined to prevent him from targeting anyone else.

"Blastoise, lock on and attack with Aura Sphere!"

Switching tactics, Wesson began probing Hog's defenses.

Blastoise, one of the rare Pokémon with access to Aura, wasn't limited to Water-type moves.

Two glowing blue Aura Spheres swirled into formation and homed in on Magmortar. With Aura's guidance, evasion was impossible.

"Magmortar, block with Mega Punch and follow up with Flamethrower! Charge in!"

Recognizing the threat posed by Aura Sphere, Hog changed strategies.

Blastoise, like a Nidoking with Aura, was a formidable artillery piece. Its weakness lay in its difficulty fighting up close.

Hog aimed to exploit that.

"Blastoise, use Water Pulse to force them back, then counter with Dragon Pulse!"

Water rippled outward, carrying a unique energy with a chance to confuse the target.

"Magmortar, destroy it with Flame Burst and charge in with Flame Charge!"

The flames scattered, creating an opening in the Water Pulse.

Encased in fire, Magmortar surged forward. Flame Charge increased its speed and agility while accelerating its attack rate.

"Blastoise, use Surf!"

"Magmortar, retreat!"

A tidal wave surged forward, with Blastoise riding its crest, carrying the full force of the water toward Magmortar.

Luckily for Hog, there were no allies nearby; otherwise, Blastoise's move could have caused friendly fire.

"Blastoise, use Rain Dance!"

As the water receded, Blastoise summoned rain clouds, drenching the battlefield.

Rain Dance altered the weather, amplifying Water-type moves fivefold while halving the power of Fire-type moves.

In an instant, Hog's strategy crumbled, leaving him at a disadvantage.

Meanwhile, on another front, the Cold Night Poaching Group launched their assault. Waiting for them was Thomas, captain of the Moonshade Village guard.
