Pirates: Dangerous Options in My Brain

Chapter 116: Chapter 116: If You Want to Kill Him, You'll Have to Go Through Me First!

Vivian: ???

Aili?

That cute girl with freckles like Ace?

What does she have to do with this?

Vivian was puzzled.

But for now, to survive, he had to trust the system's options unconditionally.

Acting? It's not the first time. Who would doubt his acting skills?

So, under Marco's confused gaze, Vivian sat down on the ground, a look of fatigue crossing his face.

"Too bad, I won't get to see Aili one last time before I die..."

His tone carried a mix of self-mockery, regret, and resignation. He closed his eyes as if awaiting Marco's "final judgment."

At that critical moment...

"Stop!"

A clear female voice rang out. When Vivian opened his eyes again, he saw Aili standing firmly in front of him, arms outstretched, looking at Marco with determination. "Uncle Marco, if you want to kill him, you'll have to kill me first!"

Marco: "..."

"Aili, didn't I tell you that the battlefield is a dangerous place?" Marco said helplessly, "Be good, leave here quickly."

"No!" Aili shook her head, still not moving from in front of Vivian. "I'm also a member of the Whitebeard Pirates. Everyone came to Marineford to rescue Captain Ace, so why can't I?"

"And what are you doing now? Protecting a marine? That guy has been hindering my rescue efforts," Marco said, unable to hold back.

"I…" Aili, at a loss for words, blushed and shouted, "He's already injured so badly, he can't hinder you anymore. Can't you just let him go? If you want to kill him, you'll have to kill me too!"

Silence.

The air seemed to quiet down, despite the distant battlefield still roaring with cannon fire. It felt like they were in a different world.

After a long pause, Marco turned away from Aili and continued towards the execution platform, saying, "But after the war, you'll face punishment from Pops."

"Th-thank you."

Aili wiped her tears and called out to Marco's retreating back.

Meanwhile...

"Meteor Volcano!"

A barrage of magma fists rained down, hitting the center of the battlefield. Countless pirates were engulfed by the scorching lava, leaving nothing but molten remains.

"Admiral Akainu has finally made his move!"

"Charge with the admiral!"

Seeing the magma rain, the marines' faces lit up with excitement.

But in the next moment…

Boom—!

The island began to shake violently again, the ground cracking open, creating deep pits that swallowed many marines.

"Yah-hoo—!"

"Pops is making his move!"

"Brothers, charge and rescue Ace!"

Both sides shouted in unison.

On the deck and the execution platform, Whitebeard and Akainu stared at each other from a distance.

Whitebeard gave a disdainful smile and said, "Go light some birthday candles, magma brat."

Akainu sneered, "Don't like a lavish funeral, Whitebeard?"

With those words, the battle intensified.

"Kill!"

Blood splattered into the air as marines and pirates clashed fiercely, pushing the war to an irreversible point.

At the same time.

"Slave Arrow!"

A barrage of pink arrows shot out from the heart-shaped aura conjured by Hancock, indiscriminately hitting the battlefield. In an instant, nearly a hundred marines and pirates turned into stone statues, frozen in place and left at the mercy of others.

"Damn it!"

"That woman, is she the Empress of the Seven Warlords, Boa Hancock?"

"What are you doing? You're attacking marines too!"

Several marine officers, furious, shouted at Hancock.

"Hmph." Hancock snorted, lifting her head and looking down at the marines with extreme disdain. "I only agreed to fight the Whitebeard Pirates for the government. That doesn't mean I'm your ally."

"All men, no matter who they are, are my enemies."

"Of course, except for Lord Larvin…"

She said, gently adjusting her hair and adopting a pitiful expression. "I hope you can consider my unparalleled beauty as fulfilling my agreement with you."

With that, she struck a pose.

The marines, who were previously angry, blushed and raised their swords, shouting:

"Of course, Empress!"

"We'd give our lives for you!" {!!!???}

The scene shifted again.

On the shores of Marineford.

Aili, carrying the bleeding Vivian, desperately dodged the cannon fire, heading towards the Whitebeard Pirates' ship.

"Cough… put me down…"

"Don't… don't give up, we're almost there. I'll find a way to heal you."

Wiping the sweat from her face, Aili spoke stubbornly.

Hearing this, Vivian felt worse.

I'm still in my marine uniform, you know. Taking me to the Whitebeard Pirates' ship might not be the best idea.

I might get killed by your crew before I bleed out.

"Maybe… just leave me here? You go back…"

"No way!"

Aili interrupted him, "I will save you, I promise!"

Vivian: "…"

"You know, I thought I'd never see you again…" Aili suddenly smiled, a bit self-deprecatingly. "You're so handsome and strong. I thought someone as amazing as you would never cross paths with me again, but…"

"But?" Vivian had a bad feeling.

"But I didn't expect you to be thinking about me too…"

Vivian: (°ー°〃)

"Did you… did you mean what you said earlier?"

Seeing Vivian silent, Aili finally gathered the courage to ask shyly.
