Percy's Pokemon Adventure

Chapter 55: Chapter 54

Percy awoke to the banging of hammers and sounds of labor. Light shown through his eyelids causing him to turn his head. He slowly opened his eyes and observed his surroundings.

A small mattress was between him and the ground. His body aching in pain as he slowly rolled over. The pain wasn't as bad as he thought it would which made him feel better. His shoulder was tightly bound in bandaging and he wasn't able to move it.

Bandaging bound his knee as well forcing him to keep his leg at an uncomfortable angle. The rest of his body was sore and bruises covered his back and shoulders from being blown through a building.

On both sides of him slept his Pokémon, who looked pretty banged up. Aurora didn't have enough time or resources to heal everything. Percy lifted his hand and slowly stroked the top of Crashs head. After a minute of peace he looked around himself.

He was sitting in a small shed on a small mattress. Outside of the wooden door he heard the sounds of men striking hammers against wood. Percy slowly stood up, his body creaking and moaning in pain.

He slowly pushed open the wooden door where he was immediately blinded by the bright sun. He raised his good arm to block the sun as he scanned the area around him. Men hammered on wooden structures apparently fixing the buildings destroyed in the Koffing explosion.

Among the men Ishigami picked up large wooden planks with his aura hands and handed it to other groups of people.

Ishigami saw Percy and waved to the people he was working with. He jogged up to Percy and inspected his body. "Feeling good?" Ishigami asked.

"Good enough. What's going on?" Percy replied.

Ishigami gestured behind him. "The townspeople and I are fixing the damage at the moment. The others are making official witness statements to some Police Officers and government officials that have arrived.

Word had gotten out that a bombing was made on a town by Team Rocket. Attacks like that aren't made often and it's a big deal when it happens. Team Rocket does a lot of its stuff in the shadows which is what was supposed to happen but we cornered the leader who had to escape so he did something he probably shouldn't have." Ishigami explained some things to Percy.

"Yo." Someone called out to the boys. Jason stood with the other Prodigies a dozen meters away. A figure stood behind the group of teens. She was dressed in blue police attire with the classic Officer Jenny hair.

The woman stood straight her gaze lingering on the two boys before bending over to whisper in Zoe's ear. Both boys walked over to the group, Percy with more difficulty. Once they arrived the police woman spoke up, "We've acquired a house for you kids to stay in. We just need two more witness statements from you two." She motioned to Percy and Ishigami. "But first you can rest. Greg!" She called out.

A police man who was flirting with one of the women helping rebuild a building turned around. "Take them to their house and stop that." She said and whispered again to Zoe and left. The man led them to their house that seemed to have the exact same design as the child daycare.

On the way to the house the teens filled each other in on what they were doing recently. Marcus cleared his throat and talked in his business like tone. "Haley and I have been talking to a few places about getting a few sponsorships. It's been difficult since we've started only recently and don't have many feats."

Haley's face lit up as she remembered something. "Oh yeah, a couple days ago I was battling this guy and he had a Larvitar and I was like, 'Woah, are you from Kanto.' And he was like 'Yeah.' And I was like, 'Where'd you find a Larvitar at.' And he told me that if I could beat him he'd tell me. So Charmeleon thrashed his Larvitar even though it was a hard fight. The guy was super tough. And he told me he found it at the core of the Mt Moon. I plan on going there next." Haley blurted out a lot of information.

"No Hale. I told you that there's Champion level Pokémon in the center of Mt Moon. I don't know what was up with that guy but he wasn't ordinary." They had arrived at the house and went to enter. As Percy stepped forward a hand clasped his shoulder pulling him back. As he was pulled from view he turned around to Zoe looking at him. "What's up?" Percy asked. Percys talked to Zoe a few times but not enough to deserve being pulled away.

"You've been ignoring Aurora. Tell me why." Zoe scrutinized Percy.

"I don't know-". Percy started but he was interrupted.

"Don't play stupid with me. I'm not an idiot." She turned around to make sure she wasn't being listened to. A sigh escaped her lips. "Look. Aurora is like the sister I never had and you've apparently made a big impression on her. She hasn't been the same for a week or so and I hate seeing her like this. So what's up." Zoe stared into Percys eyes until he couldn't maintain eye contact.

His feet shuffled uncomfortably as his eyes darted around. He ran his hand through his hair, "Apparently if I interact with her it could make her life a lot more difficult." He paused, "And I would be assassinated."

Zoe became confused. "What? Where'd you hear that? It sounds absolutely ridiculous."

"Her aunt told me that it's likely the head of the Joy Clan would send an assassin to kill me. So I've been avoiding her." Percy explained.

It didn't sound super real saying it aloud. Why would the head of the most peaceful people in the world kill someone over an uncertain marriage. "Ah." Zoe sighed.

As a child of the Head of the Jenny Clan she's seen her fair share of useless high level politics that end in people dead.

Zoe entered deep thought for a moment. "Look. I'll pull some strings and guarantee that The Joy Clan won't send any assassins for you." She said.

Percy tilted his head in confusion, "How are you going to do that?"

"I'll talk to my mom and tell her to make sure no assassins in the blackmarket are sent after you. She has enough power to guarantee your safety. And by the way I'm not making you like Aurora. She's just sensitive so don't ignore her." Zoe turned away to follow the other prodigies into the house.

Percy followed close behind. The house was average in almost every aspect except for a curious difference. Belongings that didn't belong to the Prodigies but to a man and woman who previously owned this house. Percy made eye contact with Ishigami and they shared a thought.

The people who previously owned this house were killed at some point leaving there no owners. A jacket hung on a doorknob and a pair of slippers lay at the front door. The other Prodigies seemed blissfully unaware of the feet that used to walk where they did. Percys previously happy attitude turned solemn.

His body throbbed horribly as he stumbled to the closest piece of furniture. A warm body steadied his hobbling form and helped him to a couch. Pink hair pressed against Percys cheek as the smell of roses entered his nose.

Support helped his side with the bad knee as he was sat on a couch. He looked up to Aurora staring into Percy's eyes. "You don't have to do that." Percy murmured. "I'm strong enough on my own." His voice barely reached Auroras ears.

"I have some food that'll be ready in a moment. I'll be right back." She turned and fiddled with her Pokédex. Jason appeared at Percys side and examined their surroundings.

He chatted with Percy on what he had been doing recently while he actually communicated with Percy via psychic telepathy. 'Hey man things have been rough for you recently. Are you okay.' Jason silently asked him.

Percy responded with the equivalent of a mental grunt. Not completely sure how that works but he did it. Jason sighed outwardly catching a weird look from Marcus since he just sighed in what was apparently a normal conversation with Percy.

'Look dude. I don't know what happened with Luna but if you ever need help I'm here.' A hand gripped Percys shoulder reassuringly.

Percy squeaked and said aloud "That's my bad shoulder." Jason pulled back and apologized. They then started conversing openly about their recent whereabouts. Percy spoke about his time in the wilds and his new team member.

It seemed Haley had been listening to their conversation and asked to see his new Pokémon. Percy complied and released his Wurmple onto the wooden floor in front of him. The worm looked around at the new faces around and turned around stabbing

Percy with its stinger. "Agh." He kicked the Wurmple away. Percy couldn't tell from its facial features but he had a feeling the thing was super smug. Suddenly it started glowing a soft blue. Percys pained expression turned into surprise as he fumbled for his Pokédex.

He quickly removed a Dustox antenna from his Pokédex and set it next to Wurmple so it could absorb the energy from the low champion level Dustox. Wurmple glowed brightly for a few moments before the light disappeared. Where the worm once stood lay a Cascoon. Percy leaned over picking up the silk creature and examined it with his eyes. He pulled out his Pokédex and scanned it.

Pokémon: Cascoon

Level: 7

Abilities: Shield Dust, Run Away

Gender: Male

Potential: Light Blue

Moves: Tackle, String Shot, Poison Sting, Harden

"Huh. A Cascoon." Percy commented. He was low key hoping for the more offensive Beautifly but it just meant he had to adjust his plans.

Jason stood next to Percy and examined the Cascoon. "I didn't know you had a new Pokémon." He reached his hand out toward the silk creature just to retract it a second later when it's spines started glowing purple. The Cascoon made no moves to actively sting Percy but kept a skeptical eye on him. By now the other Prodigies have gathered around looking at the Pokémon. Zoe nodded, impressed. "That's a giant Cascoon."

At this point the size difference from Cascoon and others of its species were apparent. The average size of a Cascoon was about 2 feet and 12 kg. But Percys Cascoon was almost 3 and a half feet and 24 kg.

The purple poison dripping off of its spines seemed more potent than what it should be able to produce. Haley reached down with her hands and tried to pet Cascoon. Everyone made moves to stop her since the Pokémon acted aggressively toward Jason.

But the Cascoons urge to attack Haley subsided as she rubbed the silk. Haley smiled and stood up. "What a nice Pokémon." The room was silent.

"I finished the food!" Aurora shouted from the kitchen. The silence broke as everyone rushed to the dining table in the foreign house. Percy limped behind while releasing his Pokémon and feeding them. 'I'm running low on food for them.' He thought to himself. Cascoon is still technically a Pokémon baby so Percy had to mix Moo Moo milk in with the general food he had. He made sure to not let out Pharaoh yet and made a note to feed him privately later. Percy sat at the table in an odd way to accommodate his injured knee. He looked at the food in front of him that consisted of assorted sandwiches.

Aurora watched as the teens destroyed the pallet of food but kept a special eye on Percy. Out of the corner of her eye Zoe saw Aurora looking at Percy. "Is it good Percy?" Zoe said between bites.

Percy nodded fervently as his mouth was stuffed full of bread and meats and cheeses. "Yesh. Vrery good." His statement was met with the other teens agreeing.

"It's great."

"Tastes good."

"Is this Tauros meat?"

Auroras smile stretched from ear to ear as the praises made her self confidence soar. "Yeah it is!"

After the meal Percy sat on the floor while Aurora rebandaged him. She cut away at the bloodied bandages that were tight around his shoulder and knee and replaced them with fresh bandaging.

Chansey healed his wounds as soon as the bandaging was off which almost closed the wounds. Although there were still some fractured ribs and torn up muscles beneath the skin that still needed to heal with time.

Aurora worked in silence as she tended to Percy but they shared a comfortable moment together.

As Aurora finished up on Percy she cleared her throat and spoke, "Hey Percy. I was thinking." She paused in hesitation until her resolve strengthened. "I was thinking we could hang out sometime." She paused again. "We can just train and stuff." She hoped that training sounded better to Percy so he was more likely to say yes.

Percy remained silent as Chansey finished up closing his wounds. "I'm kinda busy for a little bit and I won't be able to do much out of what I've already scheduled." Percy rubbed the back of his neck apparently uncomfortable. "But after the Viridian Ball I've got some free time for that."

Aurora nodded silently. "Sounds good." Percy kept his head down as Aurora backed out of the room they were in.

She quickly ran away and calmed herself around the corner. After she left Percy made sure no one was going to come into the room he was in. He let Pharaoh out of his pokeball and quickly fed him. Next he walked out of the room where he saw Jason feeding his Pokémon. Percy scanned them for their levels and was surprised to see he had added a new Pokémon to his team.

His Quilava is level 26 and his Pidgeotto is level 23.

Pokémon: Spinarak

Level: 2

Abilities: Swarm, Insomnia, Sniper

Gender: Female

Potential: Light Blue

Moves: Poison Sting, String Shot

"Where'd you get the Spinarak?" Percy asked.

Jason picked the spider up and held it in his arms while feeding it a bottle of Moo Moo milk. "It's a reward from the Spinarak mission. Heuning said she found a super high quality egg around where you guys were found. So I chose that as my reward." He gestured to Kai and Percy.

Kai sat on the ground meditating as a evil smile rose to his lips. Percy stared daggers at Kai and asked, "You didn't tell them?" Kai shook his head slowly apparently quite happy with Percys reaction.

Percy looked at the baby Spinarak and sighed. 'Whatever. I still have a little ptsd from them anyway.' He thought to himself. He put on a smile and chatted with his friends.

(In a place deep underground)

The sound of footsteps falling heavily on metal resounded throughout a metal hallway. Dark gray metal covered the walls as a woman quickly walked toward a door.

The grey doors glided open as they detected motion. A tight skirt was wrapped around her waist as her bob cut bobbed up and down. Her glasses reflected the bright white lights from the hallway.

In front of her the door revealed a dark room glowing in red light. A singular chair and desk sat in the middle. A hiss resounded from behind the chair as a Persian rounded on the woman.

Her heart beat hard in her chest as she steadied her breath. The chairs back faced the woman as an uncomfortable silence fell. A hand reached out, slowly stroking the Persians back.

A strong commanding voice spoke, "Speak."

The woman cleared her throat, "He has been found." Silence fell once more.

"Send Silver." The mans voice spoke little but the woman immediately left the way she came. Moments later a teenage boy of about 16 entered.

Dark red hair fell around his shoulders as his face contorted into an ugly mess of emotions. He didn't dare speak.

"We have finally found him. Oak has hidden him well. That damn Alakazam." The last few words held venom. The mans face was shrouded in shadows.

"Do you want me to bring him back." The boy asked, desperate for the man to agree.

A sigh resounded from the chair. "No. I will let him live in his world for a little longer. Then I will pull it from under his feet so he won't think of leaving ever again." Anger passed over the boys face, but he didn't speak back. "I brought you in here to tell you to start training before he pulls ahead of you again. You are dismissed."

The red haired boys fist clenched at his side. "Yes Father."
