Nyarlathotep explained his plan to me after I entered his private world, the plan to dominate the multiverse, I was a channel between worlds, apparently he was the one who had brought me from the first world to this one as a god to fulfill a task, to allow him access to the multiverse, more than he already had, since for the moment he could only send avatars out of the realm of Azathoth.
My task was to channel Azathoth's power to open a door between worlds, a door which he could use. For this very purpose, he had created a shrine above the blind idiot god, in which I would channel his power, creating the gate to allow forth the end of the world.
When would this be done? Tomorrow, during the meeting of the Outer Gods, where my hated father would be celebrated for creating a door for the horrors of this dimension to use, so for the moment, I just had to wait, and think how to fulfill the promise I said I would keep, how to save Hestia from all this.
Which led me to the next question, why I wanted to save her, I didn't love her, at least not anymore, but still... something inside me urged me to try, which didn't make sense, nobody does something for someone for nothing, if you don't feel anything for someone, you don't do anything, wasn't that so?
Maybe I was thinking too much about it, maybe I simply wanted to save her as a sign that I had control of something in my life, that I was not totally my father's prisoner, the slave of his will.
"Aren't you happy? Soon all life will end, can you imagine? The suffering I will grant!?"
Those words echoed in my head, all of this… was a game for him, a game of torture and pleasure, that was his gimmick, mine… I think I now what mine is, freedom… even now, as a shell of what I used to be, I crave freedom, and he's in the way of my freedom.

[Hestia POV]
Adam had changed, his very soul was swallowed by the endless abyss of despair, but I had hoped he would come back to the way he was. I seen him go through worse and come back stronger, that's why I believe in him, but even if he didn't… I counldt bring myself to hate him, or even forget him.
"Well, that hurt," Thor commented, as one of the healers reattached his arm, "He ripped it off like it was made out of paper," he complained.
"Well, he ripped my only eye, and you don't see me complaining," Odin chuckled, "It was to be expected, his power… he is leagues above us now,"
That he was, even among the turmoil of his soul, I could feel his massive power overwhelming me, it was like a tsunami eating away the world without mercy, it made Zeus feel like a demigod.
"Was it worth it?" Frigg growled, slapping Odin, "Was all of this worth this? You could've killed him… before he became this… but you thought you could change fate…"
"I did," Odin declared, shocking everyone inside the room, "This timeline is different to the one I saw, in many he ends up killing Hestia at first sight, but yet… he didn't, which means… there is still hope,"
"That is why you wanted me to come… so that I could confront him," I muttered in realization.
"Yes, you see… if Adam was truly lost… you would've died anyways, all of us… this was the last test to see if there was still hope, and in a way there is…" Odin sighed, "Even without eyes, I saw as he struggled to understand why he couldn't kill you… this Adam must have done something different during his ascension to change what was the 99.9998% of all possible outcomes, what exactly? I don't know… but it made him different, and that's an improvement,"
"It would've been nice to know I was going to lose my FUCKING ARM!" Thor barked.
"Oh relax, the healers will fix you in no time," Odin sighed, "Besides, if I was wrong, we would've died… it was the only way,"
"I hate you right now," Thor grumbled.
"Not Adam?" Frigg asked, raising an eyebrow looking at his arm.
"No, of course not!" Thor answered without even pausing, "He is my bro, you don't hate bros, you beat them up, and then you get drunk together, but hate my bro? That is no bro conduct, is very anti bro, bro,"
"Bro," Honey, who had been sitting quietly in a corner nodded, agreeing with Thor's unique… reasoning.
"I hope your… hope, is not misplaced," Athena said, entering the room, "Many would think that after thousands of years, I would be ready to die… alas I am not,"
"Do you have any better ideas, wise girl?" Odin snorted, "The way I see it, this is the only way,"
"Which really worries me… after all, a blind man seeing our path, is rather… problematic," Athena shot back.
"I am not blind!" Odin declared, "I still have one eye!" he pointed to where his eye was, in a jar, on a table, waiting for a doctor to attach it.
"So… no depth perception, even better," Athena rolled her eyes.
"In none of the possible timelines your life was a necessity, so… be silent," Odin glared at her… or rather to where he thought she was.
"Honey… she is there," Frigg whispered, moving his head to where she was.
"Can we not fight right now?" I asked them, "I know this situation is stressful for us all, but fighting for petty things will solve nothing,"
"Talk for you, I was having fun," Thor chuckled, and I glared at him, with a glare that said, you will not eat my food ever again if you keep this up, at this he lowered his head, and smiled, "Sorry ma'am,"
