Chapter 130: Chapter 130
**Chapter 130: Second Reward Unlocked**
At the same time, in a secluded little house deep within the Ten Thousand Year Soul Beast area of the Star Dou Great Forest, a little pink rabbit tilted its head as it stared at the diary copy that had suddenly appeared in front of it. Its mind was full of question marks.
Though it was close to reaching the level of a hundred-thousand-year soul beast, it had never encountered anything like this "Copy of Zhao Ling's Diary," nor could it understand the human writing system.
Curious, the rabbit examined the mysterious book. If its mother had been at home, she might have been able to explain what the words meant; however, she had gone out to pick some delicious carrots, leaving the little rabbit alone to watch the house. Feeling a bit dejected, it wished it could understand the text on the diary's pages.
As the pink rabbit pondered this, the diary suddenly opened by itself, revealing text inside. Yet, despite its curiosity, the rabbit still couldn't understand the writing.
Then, out of nowhere, a strange man's magnetic voice echoed in its ears. Startled, the rabbit darted under the table to hide.
"Who's there?! Stop scaring me!"
It looked around, but no one was there. Hesitantly, it pricked up its ears to listen to the voice.
The voice mentioned unfamiliar names—Bo Saixi, Tang Chen, Tang Hao, Ah Yin—all of which left the rabbit thoroughly confused. Then it heard a name it recognized: Xiao Wu. Could the voice possibly be talking about itself? What did "great-grandson's wife" even mean?
Frustrated by its lack of understanding, the pink rabbit resolved to ask its mother for clarification when she returned.
Its thoughts turned somber as it remembered its father, who had ventured into a dangerous place and disappeared. Ever since, its mother had been working tirelessly to gather food, leaving the little rabbit alone for long periods. Its ears drooped in distress.
Elsewhere, deep in the Star Dou Great Forest's core, hidden in the most dangerous underground caves, terrifying beasts slept soundly. These beasts, destined to appear in later chapters of the story, surrounded a seven-meter-long ice silkworm. The silkworm's jade-white crystalline body shimmered with halos, and its golden eyes glowed faintly.
These ferocious beasts absorbed the silkworm's energy, using it to strengthen themselves.
Among them was a massive silver-white dragon. Its silvery eyes opened groggily as a golden light from the "Copy of Zhao Ling's Diary" disturbed its slumber. The dragon's mind filled with questions.
"What's going on? Why has this strange diary appeared before me?"
Puzzled, the Silver Dragon King tried to grab the diary with its massive claws, only for them to pass straight through the illusory book. It roared in frustration.
"Why can't I touch it? What is this supposed to mean?"
Before the dragon could puzzle it out, the diary opened on its own, displaying its contents in the dragon clan's language. Simultaneously, the strange man's voice returned, speaking directly into its ears.
The Silver Dragon King raised its head sharply, scanning the cave. It couldn't determine where the voice was coming from. Strangely, though the voice was clear, none of the other beasts in the cave seemed to hear it—they remained fast asleep.
The Silver Dragon King glared at the slumbering creatures and growled, "Who's making that noise? Don't you know others are trying to sleep?"
The other beasts stirred, blinking in confusion. Even the giant ice silkworm gazed at the dragon with its golden eyes. Feeling embarrassed, the Silver Dragon King muttered, "Never mind. Go back to sleep."
Once the other beasts had settled down, the dragon turned its attention back to the diary. Realizing it might be the only one who could see and hear the strange phenomenon, it grumbled, "Fine, I'll read it."
As it read the diary, the Silver Dragon King grew increasingly irritated. "Tang Chen? Bo Saixi? Great-great-grandson's wife? Ridiculous! Who does this Zhao Ling think he is, claiming I'd lower myself to such nonsense?!"
Angrily, the dragon waved its claws in an attempt to dismiss the diary. But instead of disappearing, the diary closed on its own, and two lines of text appeared on its cover:
[The first reward: Lifespan +30 years, aging speed -10%. The reward has been unlocked and will be issued soon.]
[If more than five people read this diary copy, the second reward will be unlocked. All readers will gain a lifespan of +50 years and a 10% improvement in cultivation qualifications. Rewards will be distributed soon.]
Two streams of golden light flowed from the diary into the dragon's head. A warm sensation spread through its body, causing its eyes to widen in astonishment.
The Silver Dragon King murmured in disbelief, "This diary… just increased my lifespan by 80 years, slowed my aging, and enhanced my cultivation aptitude? How is this possible?"
Back in the little house, Xiao Wu experienced a similar sensation as golden light entered her body. The warmth soothed her, and she instinctively closed her eyes to savor the feeling.
Meanwhile, Bo Saixi, Liu Erlong, Bibi Dong, and Ah Yin—who had already received the first reward—were delighted to see the second reward unlocked.
They couldn't help but wonder, "Does this mean the more people who read the diary, the greater the rewards?"
An 80-year increase in lifespan, a slower aging process, and improved cultivation qualifications—it all seemed like a dream. For these women, the diary wasn't just a strange artifact; it was a gateway to new possibilities.
