Pearl: Transmigrated Fox in Another World

Kai then said, "Congratulations on naming your system. So, are you ready to learn more about this world?

I answered, "Yes. Yes, I am."

Kai then said, "Welcome to Reality 3B, Earth-760. This world contains magic, monsters, and other fantasy-like ordeals. So, you will like this world, no?"

It's as if he knew me before we even met! I then excitedly asked, "Yes! But, what kind of magic are we talking about here?"

Kai then said, "The one you dream of, Jacob. You could shoot fire from your hand, call upon the wind to make a tornado, break chunks of Earth right beneath your feet, and create tsunamis from the wave of your hand."

My eyes started to sparkle with a burning passion for the longing of a fantasy world. Magic, swords, monsters, demon lords, Gods, everything I've dreamt of!

Kai then smiled before saying, "You seem to not mind being 'dead', huh?"

I then said, "I have wished for this to happen for many years. To be honest with you, Sir Kai, I have longed for this type of event to occur in my lifetime. I love this sort of situation!"

Kai smiled and said, "There have been many like you from the eight before you. Some of them changed after a few years, and some have even killed themselves. There were thirteen reincarnators around 70 years ago. Two died trying to fight strong monsters, and two opted out. So, in all technicality, you are Reincarnator No.14, but you're now Reincarnator No.9."

Uhh… I don't think I need to hear that bit about the people "opting out", no? But, whatever.

Kai then said, "Is there anything that you would like to know?"

I gave it a thought, and then asked, "Where are the other reincarnators? Are they spread all across the world?"

Kai then answered, "More or less. Some found love and stayed with their families. Others went on journeys across the lands."

I then asked him, "Where will I be sent to after reincarnation?"

Kai then said, "I cannot decide the exact position, but I can let you see a map of the region you'll appear in. It is blank until you 'spawn' in, and then it will show the area you 'spawned' into. I'll even give you one in your inventory."

After he had said that, a message popped up.

I then asked, "In some of these situations, when reincarnated, you start off with nothing. Will I be given anything to use?"

Kai then answered, "Yes. You will be able to choose from a basic tier 1 weapon, and some clothing types. You will also be given some food so you don't starve to death immediately."

How generous of him to even include food!

He then asked, "Shall we proceed, friend?"

He called me a friend… I'm honoured to be called a "friend" by a God!

I then said, "Y-yes, Sir Kai."

A screen then popped up in front of me showing two tabs. One labelled "Weapon", and the other "Clothing". I selected the weapon tab and started scrolling down. I saw many weapons. Going from a simple "broadsword", to a double-edged dual-wielded great axe.

Only one weapon caught my attention. It was called the "Magic Katana". It's a katana that allows you to combine it with your mana to infuse spells into it. I selected it with but a second thought. I then went over to the clothing tab and saw many styles of dress.

Ranging to modern world fashion, to the fashion of the world I'm being reincarnated into. I decided on a mage's robe to increase my mana stats by 5%, and so it would conceal my weapons and what else I could hide under there.

I then selected [Finish].

Kai then said, "Well, in about 30 seconds, you'll be transported into the world. I wish you luck."

30 seconds, eh? I better prepare myself for where I will be sent to!

My vision started to haze out, and I "fell to my knees", all though I don't have any…

Kai then touched my core once more and I felt like I was expanding. He then said, "Here is your body—." Kai's voice was cut off by Kitsu, my new system.

Huh?? Well, okay. As long as I get to be in a fantasy world...

I felt myself slowly gain a more solid structure, and then I lost consciousness. The last thing I heard was, "I can't believe that you are such a promising kid. Good luck, Jacob."

I regained my vision and saw that I was falling towards the ground. I was about 150 metres away from the dirt. Wait, I'm going to die if I fall!

I started to panic as my senses returned. As I was about to hit the ground, I said, "Fuck." But, it didn't sound like me saying it. It sounded… young and feminine.

*thud*

-[1 Day Later]-

I woke up and slowly remembered where I was, how I got there, and who I am. I grabbed the back of my head and felt for any blood or injuries. I should be dead from that.

How nice of him… not. He couldn't have given me a warning? Jeez…

I sat up and said out loud, "Where the fuck am I…? Huh? Who's speaking… is it… me?"

But, that's impossible… My voice was deeper than shit! Could he have regressed my age? Why would he do that to me, though?

Oh, that's sort of… Weird. Don't worry, person that died! I'll take good care of it!

I stood up, dizzily, and looked at my being. It seems, since I am much shorter than I was before, I might be around the age of 10. How tall am I in the imperial system, Kitsu?

Okay. A full two feet and one inch has been removed. That makes me short as ever-living fuck…

I noticed that I still had very long hair, down to my knees. It was that long. My hair was jet black and it looked pretty good. It was fluffy, and not more straightened. I checked a few things on myself.

I then looked at my hands and noticed something that I hadn't before.

"What is this…?" A strange looking tattoo was on my left hand. It looked at it and it started to turn black, when it was originally white.

Okay. So, it's like a form of identification, no?

All right. So, there is something I noticed. Isn't it a bit chilly under my robe? I think I know what happened here… I didn't check if anything else came with the robe, only the beneficial stat bonuses! I'm not going to look, though. I wouldn't do that… probably.

Welp, I will have to find me some clothes soon. Let's move on.

All right. So, I should probably figure out where the hell I am, right? Open the inventory, grab the regional map, my magic katana, and a satchel that came with it to carry excess items. Next, open the map and try to get a lay-of-the-land.

I have no fucking clue where I am. Welp, only one thing left to do! It's time for some hiking! I'll exit out of this forest and find a nearby landmark. After all, I can just use this to find my way out.

I looked at the map and found that the closest exit from the forest is around two and a half kilometres away, south-west.

And so, without much left to do, I start heading that way.
