"Brother Chen Yang just came to find me earlier, so there isn't much in the room yet. I'll bring some tables, chairs, and benches in the afternoon," Zhang Xueying said with a smile.

Jiang Miaoyan quickly shook her head upon hearing this, "Sister Xueying, this is already great. No need to trouble yourself."

"Hey, it's no trouble at all. Since you're staying, you should be comfortable. Don't be polite," Zhang Xueying, being very kind, warmly replied to Jiang Miaoyan.

Jiang Miaoyan was really touched by this. Bringing Lingling along felt like she finally had a temporary place to stay.

"You guys settle in first. I have some things to handle at the office, so I'll be off," Chen Yang said, having settled Jiang Miaoyan in, he didn't plan to linger.

It was getting late, and he still had a meeting at the office.

The morning meetings were basically for everyone to stay informed about the work.

Seeing nothing left to do there, Chen Yang planned to leave.

However, he was stopped by Yang Ruoxi and Dai Annie.

"Chen Yang, I saw you earlier this morning taking two people to Xueying's house. What was that about?" Yang Ruoxi asked curiously.

Chen Yang paused upon hearing the question, knowing Yang Ruoxi was referring to Jiang Miaoyan and Lingling.

"You noticed that, huh? Your eyesight is sharp," Chen Yang said with a smile.

"Tsk, I saw from far away, and they look quite pretty," Yang Ruoxi said with a hint of jealousy.

Dai Annie stood by with the same feeling.

Though she said nothing, her expression showed she was also jealous.

Seeing the situation, Chen Yang quickly explained with a smile.

"Don't overthink it. They just came to see me for medical treatment."

"Medical treatment? Are you sure?" Yang Ruoxi questioned Chen Yang doubtfully.

Chen Yang nodded decisively, "Of course, I'm sure."

"Hmm, but we saw them leaving your house early this morning," Dai Annie also interrogated from the side.

"Yeah, did they sleep at your place last night?" Yang Ruoxi had the look as if she was eyeing a lecher, clearly distrustful of Chen Yang.

Chen Yang, feeling helpless, continued to explain, "They did sleep at my place last night, but it's not what you think. They just stayed in the clinic, and I arranged for them to stay at Xueying's this morning. Don't get the wrong idea."

After Chen Yang's explanation, Yang Ruoxi and Dai Annie looked somewhat convinced but still doubtful.

"Of course, why else would I be so eager to help, taking care of her sister's treatment, arranging accommodation? She's truly in a difficult situation, so I thought I'd help if I could. Don't you think so?" Chen Yang smiled as he spoke.

Yang Ruoxi nodded immediately, in full agreement.

"Yes, it's right to help."

"Chen Yang, you did the right thing! I'm more and more impressed with you!" Dai Annie also gave Chen Yang a thumbs up.

"Alright, now that you know the situation, I have to go. I need to prepare the herbs for tomorrow's treatment," Chen Yang said.

"Alright, hurry and go. If you need help, remember to ask me and Annie. We'll help if we can," Yang Ruoxi quickly assured.

Though Yang Ruoxi and Dai Annie usually liked to joke and play around,

they were quite sensible when it came to serious matters.

After hearing about Jiang Miaoyan's difficulties, their jealousy dissipated, and they proactively extended help.

"Of course, if needed, I'll come to you both. I'm off now." Chen Yang smiled slightly and left the office.

Back at the clinic, he took Wangcai and Hei Yun and went for a hike in the mountains.

Gathered a good amount of herbs.

After lunch, without much to do, Chen Yang planned to visit Zhang Xueying's place to check on Lingling's condition.

If everything was alright, the formal treatment could start the next day.

But before he could leave, Jiang Miaoyan arrived at the door.

"What's up? Is there something with Lingling?" Seeing Jiang Miaoyan come unprompted, Chen Yang thought something was wrong with Lingling.

Jiang Miaoyan quickly shook her head, "No, Mr. Chen, Lingling's doing great, she has improved a lot after your treatment."

Chen Yang was relieved to hear that Lingling was alright.

"That's good to hear."

"Yes, Mr. Chen, actually I came to ask if you're hiring. If you are, would you consider letting me try?" Jiang Miaoyan expressed her intention after a nod.

Hearing her out, Chen Yang paused for a moment.

Then he realized that Zhang Xueying had probably understood Jiang Miaoyan's situation and suggested she come to him for a job.

"We are indeed hiring, but it depends on what you're willing and able to do," Chen Yang said after some thought.

Jiang Miaoyan quickly noted that she studied engineering management in college.

Chen Yang was quite surprised to hear her field of study.

"You studied engineering management? It's rare for women to study that," he said.

"Yes, not many do, but I happen to be one of the few," Jiang Miaoyan replied.

Chen Yang chuckled, "There's plenty of construction going on in the village. If you studied this, I can definitely arrange a suitable job for you, but you must be able to handle it."

"I understand! I didn't graduate, but I've learned a lot of useful things. You can let me try, and if it doesn't work out, I won't take any salary," Jiang Miaoyan quickly assured, eager to prove herself.

She was so earnest, Chen Yang couldn't refuse.

"Alright, come with me. Let's see if we can find you a role," Chen Yang said.

She badly needed this job.

He introduced Jiang Miaoyan to Li Han.

After getting a basic understanding and asking some professional questions, Li Han agreed to hire her on the spot.

"We're short of talent in engineering management for the village's projects. Even without a degree, your skills are acceptable. You can start the job and see how it goes. The probation period salary is eight thousand, and after two months, it will be ten thousand. Can you accept that?" Li Han said to Jiang Miaoyan.
