It was a busy day in the mountains, and he was indeed tired.

"Great, how about we meet at Caesar's Tavern?" Wang Jingman asked with a smile.

A tavern?

Hearing the location, Chen Yang felt something was a bit off.

But thinking again, it was indeed late at night, and there weren't other suitable places to discuss things, so he agreed.

It was just past eight, and the tavern was located in a bustling area of the town, so there were plenty of people coming and going.

Approaching the entrance, Chen Yang looked towards the door of Caesar's Tavern.

There he saw Wang Jingman in a fitted shirt, black pencil skirt, and black stockings, a complete professional attire, standing at the entrance with a designer bag.

Wang Jingman had top-notch looks, and with this alluring outfit, she appeared even more charming.

Though she was very young, she exuded a mature aura.

Chen Yang stared for a moment, then quickly snapped out of it, found a parking spot, and parked his car.

Then he got out of the car and walked towards Wang Jingman.

At the entrance, Wang Jingman also saw Chen Yang walking towards her.

Seeing Chen Yang, a smile appeared on Wang Jingman's face.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. It took me a while to get here from the village," Chen Yang apologized as he approached.

Wang Jingman shook her head with a smile, "Haha, I haven't been here long. Sorry for disturbing you so late."

Although Chen Yang and Wang Jingman had interacted a few times before, they weren't closely acquainted, so they were still very polite in their conversation.

After some brief pleasantries at the entrance, Wang Jingman suggested with a smile, "Let's go inside and talk; I've reserved a table."

"Okay."

Chen Yang was also thinking of going inside since standing at the entrance wasn't ideal for a conversation.

The two of them went into the tavern together.

The tavern was bustling with business, and almost all the seats were occupied.

"Oh, may I ask which table number? I can show you the way," the bartender said courteously.

Wang Jingman looked at the message on her phone about the table reservation and said, "Table 89."

"Great, please follow me."

The bartender made a gesture inviting them in, then led the way, taking Chen Yang and Wang Jingman to their table.

Despite the noise in the tavern, Wang Jingman had reserved a quieter corner, which was relatively more peaceful compared to other places.

It wasn't in the center of the tavern.

"Sir, ma'am, this is table 89," the bartender said, pointing to a seat filled with drinks but devoid of people.

"Okay, you can go ahead with your work. We'll call you if we need anything," Wang Jingman nodded slightly, addressing the bartender.

The bartender was savvy and left promptly after saying okay.

Once the bartender left, Wang Jingman invited Chen Yang to sit down with a smile.

Chen Yang was unreserved and sat right across from Wang Jingman.

After sitting down, the first thing Wang Jingman did was open the drinks and poured a full glass for Chen Yang.

"Chen Yang, I'm sorry to bring you out so late, but the matter is quite important, so I had no choice," Wang Jingman said while pouring the drink, being polite to Chen Yang.

"It's nothing, it's not that late, and it's nice to come out and have some fun," Chen Yang smiled slightly.

Upon hearing this, Wang Jingman also smiled, then raised her glass to toast Chen Yang.

Chen Yang didn't hold back, picking up his glass and drinking with Wang Jingman.

After a few drinks, Chen Yang noticed that Wang Jingman hadn't mentioned the main issue yet, so he proactively asked.

"Jingman, didn't you say there's something important you wanted to discuss? Let's talk business first."

Wang Jingman saw that Chen Yang had brought up the topic, so she didn't divert the conversation and got to the main point.

"Chen Yang, actually, the reason I came to see you today is because of my father. He specifically asked me to find you and express his gratitude on his behalf. Without you, he would have been in danger back then," Wang Jingman began.

"Jingman, it's been a long time since that incident, you didn't have to come all this way to thank me," Chen Yang laughed and quickly said it wasn't necessary to be so formal.

Knowing that Chen Yang didn't like such formalities, Wang Jingman chose not to dwell on the topic of thanks after expressing her gratitude.

Instead, she got to the main purpose of asking Chen Yang out tonight.

"Chen Yang, actually, my main purpose for coming to see you tonight is to discuss a business proposal," Wang Jingman said.

"A business proposal?" Although Chen Yang had expected gratitude wasn't the true purpose of the meeting, he was still a bit surprised when he heard the words "business proposal."

He wasn't sure what he could collaborate with her on.
