"Are we going straight in, or will we stop outside and wait for your colleagues to come over?" Chen Yang asked Tan Jing as he slowed the car upon seeing the village, rather than driving straight in recklessly.

Tan Jing didn't hesitate for a moment, "Let's go in. We're in plain clothes, so it's not like we'll alarm anyone. It's better to go in and understand the situation."

Holding Tan Jing's hand, Chen Yang walked ahead, looking very much like a couple.

He replied quietly, "Didn't you see he was already suspicious of us? Without a plausible reason, we wouldn't be able to stay in this village."

"Don't look back, keep walking forward. He must be watching us from the red brick house."

Chen Yang continued to walk without any expression.

Hearing this, Tan Jing tensed up then followed Chen Yang toward the shop without showing any emotion.

At the shop, Chen Yang even symbolically bought two bottles of water before heading back the same way.

On the way back, they were facing the red brick house, making it easy to subtly observe the house.

Tan Jing found herself being inexplicably dragged out of the car, following Chen Yang to the side of the wall.
