Peacekeeper's Wrath

"Who in their right mind would entrust their child to strangers, an underage one?" I muttered while walking through the corridor. The place was indeed magnificent, but I couldn't understand them. Why would they put their daughter's life in my possession?

I planned to escape from my duty tomorrow and wander around the elven place. I entered my room, and the first thing that caught my attention was the uniform that was placed on my red bed.

"What! Even my bed was red... I'm not a romantic person for having this..." Upon seeing the color of the bed, I felt my stomach churn with vomit. I remembered some movie clip that had a red bed scene. "I was indeed a nightmare. This is a nightmare..." I shouted.

I took off my tattered clothes and changed into a new one. Surprisingly, the clothes looked magnificent and well-prepared. I felt detected even with little matters. I was slowly becoming immature.

"Sigh.... What is life?" I muttered with dissatisfaction.

"Um... Miku can I enter your room?" Lhara muttered while opening the room. "Wh...ahhh Argg.." she shouted while closing the door.

"Miku...ur...!!" She mumbled while looking embarrassed.

"I'm?, I'm naked! What else..." I said with pride.

"No...., you should tell me earlier that you are changing your clothes..."

"Huh... What is the matter if I'm naked?" I asked my thoughts. "Does she have an idea of what does the male body looks like?" I added to my thoughts.

"Here... a schedule for tomorrow's work." She placed a wooden board on the table while looking to the other side. She was clearly looking for another direction.

She ran away after I picked up the wooden board. I glanced at the contents and almost shouted because of disbelief.

"What the heck is this?" I flipped the board, thinking it was just an illusion, but after I flipped it back, the writing didn't change. My mind brushed out with shock, my eyes left the corner of the rolling custer.

"This is truly a brutal punishment!!! How am I supposed to do this for five years?" I asked myself with discouragement.

"Okay, I will conduct an escape plan tomorrow," I said while having a dark smirk on my face.

The next day came, but I was completely messed up. I didn't have enough sleep last night because of that cursed board that Lhara left in my room last evening.

"Hohoho, you look drained, young man. Did your vampire girlfriend visit you last night?" The elder John asked with a curious look.

"No, I don't have any vampire girlfriend or whatever. Your cursed schedule kept me awake last night," I firmly stated while holding a wooden sword. I think I'm so drained, even escaping doesn't look really good.

The elder John swung his sword and smashed me easily onto the floor. I couldn't cope with my brain being tossed inside. I really wanted to sleep.

"This is bad for your first duty, young man. Remember, if you fail to protect the young Princess, you will face the consequences." John explained while reaching his hand to help the boy stand up.

"What's wrong with that schedule?" I asked. "Do they think I'm a robot?" I added with discomfort.

"Robot? What is that? Well, your schedule seems natural," John commented with a gentle smile. "You have to train hard to be a suitable bodyguard for the Princess. That is the primary reason why you have to become strong," he explained.

"Arrgg... this is enough," I shouted.

"Don't tell me you're going to surrender, young man?"

"Why do I even have to do this?"

After hearing my words, the elder elf stopped and struck me without even noticing. I quickly dodged, but his speed surpassed me. I got hit in the head and fell down for the twentieth count.

"Remember, kid, if you want to have progress, you have to exceed the limit and surpass everything," the elder elf muttered while looking down on me. "Show me what you can do. Show me how you can surpass your limit, then you can be everything."

I quickly got up and slapped my face. "I still have a lot to do today, so let me finish my sparring lesson for today," I asked while launching a deceptive attack. I countered his attack but dodged before it even hit my sword, and I snuck in a body blast, but he just blocked it with his forearm.

"It looks like you're getting serious, little boy," he struck another blow, but I quickly blocked it. I prepared another blow, and before it hit my sword again, I left it alone in the flow and grabbed my forearm to punch his opening.

With that, my sparring lesson for today ended. I quickly took my study lesson. Thanks to the memories I've absorbed, I managed to finish it without any flaws. I remembered Lhara and wondered what kind of lessons she was taking.

I've completely finished my other jobs on the list, so I tried to look for the little elf for my duty.

"Onwwee-chawwwn, wwelcwome bwak," the little elf muttered while hugging my torso. "Let's plway onwwee-chawwwn," the elf pleaded.

"Okay, little princess, what do you want to play?" I said while looking for Lhara, but she wasn't around.

"Ummm," the little elf paused and thought for a second. "Awhide awwnd sweek onwwee-chawwwn," the elf grabbed my uniform. "Ywou awre the awhider onwwee-chawwwn."

"Arrgg... why, Princess?" I asked with a detected face.

"I lwove to fwind ywou, onwwee-chawwwn!" The girl muttered with a wide smile. "I will cwount fwrom owne to twen mwake swure to awhide, hehehe..."

"Okay..." I responded with a disgusted face.

I quickly hid in the bushes and tried to conceal my appearance. I made sure to hide in a place where I could see her and protect her from external threats.

Time passed, but no matter how hard I tried to conceal my presence, she was able to find me everywhere. I felt cheated.

This time, I tried to hide in the shade of a tree with bushes around. I used my ability to enhance my concealing ability. The mist slowly formed around my body and wrapped my whole body.

Suddenly, a little noise emerged at my back. It was a figure of a girl with crimson eyes. "You really love sneaking and peeking, huh?" She raised her hand and slapped my face.

"Wha.. hah.. fwound you onwwee-chawwwn," the little elf muttered while looking curious.

"Oh, Princess Mia, what are you doing here?" Kimberly asked with a gentle look.

"We awre plwaying awhide awwnd sweek."

"I see... Then I excuse my self" She distanced herself from me and tried to run away, her dead smile was evident and her tone was lazy.

"Ohw, Princess Mia, I'm looking at you for a while, I thought you are in your room." Lhara shouted while running towards us, her gigantic mountain are bouncing like bolling ball, she breathed heavily as he stumbled and reached out for the Princess attention.

The Princess smiled with a great look, she wave her tiny hands. "Pwerfwect... let's plway awgain..." She hugged Lhara and gestured for me to do the same. "Whwat awre you doing thwere onwwee-chawwwn, cwome and join us..." The innocent elf muttered.

I walked towards them and hugged the them, I really hated playing with kids. We played every game that enters to the head of the Princess, after we take a break and had a lunch and I returned to the central arena to take my sparing lesson and do my remaining tasks.

The first day and the worst day of being the Princess guard or what I called baby-sitting duty my whole body trembled with tiredness, if I this will continue in the future I can grasp my own death.
