Chapter 233: Dragon Slayer (Part 4)
DO NOT OPEN -
here was no longer any trace of joy in the air as they played around.
The mood was dim and dark.
"When.. When is he going to wake up?" Lita asked a worrie
At first no one said anything.
"We were hoping you had the answer to that..." Aurora replied with a saddened smile.
After hearing her words, Lita's hands began to tremble.
"You're right... Finding out about this is my job... It's the only thing I can do and yet..."
*Drip* *Drip*
Tears began dripping down her face once more as she said. "I can't even do it... I'm so useless..."
The attention in the room all drew towards Lita as of that moment. Why was she crying? What was she so worried about? She was just a kid, she had no reason to worry about these things.
It was then that they all realised.
The lack of ability and power to help those closest to them. It was because of this that Gray would consistently end up getting hurt... Because of their powerlessness they had each lost someone important to them.
It was this one simple trait that they all shared in common.
And it was the one trait they all resented.
"Don't cry, Lita. You aren't useless." Said Aurora as she gave her a pat on the head.
"She's right. You've managed to warn us of future problems countless times and what did we do during all those times? We broke through them."
"You mean Gray did." Ria interrupted.
"Wha- We helped!" Violet added.
The girls quietly looked at Violet for a few seconds.
"..."
"..."
Only to snort as they realised just how ridiculous the way they were acting was.
"Pfft."
"Pfffft."
"Violet, you should have seen your face, it was all tensed up." Said Ria as she let out a few giggles.
"H-Hey because y-you were right!" Violet replied, "It was mostly Gray.."
"We still deserve some credit if you ask me." Mentioned Ruby. "He was stealing all the spotlight but we worked hard too."
Violet hastily nodded. "Exactly!"
"Well regardless... We need to start thinking about what we're going to do now... We can't just sit here and do nothing while we wait for Gray to return... We need to get stronger."
Delta who had been quiet in the other corner of the room chose this exact moment to step up.
"Then... We should start training." She said.
"What about the construction and management?"
"The secretary can handle management, and construction will be dealt by some of us on our free time."
"There's also supplies and other factors, but I'm sure you've already placed people in charge of them, haven't you?" Delta asked as she glanced in Ria's direction.
With a somewhat proud smile Ria nodded.
These last few days she had been doing a lot more work than she had to do. She split up countless tasks and put potential members in charge of them. Delta had figured this out during the short while she had spent there after arriving.
'I expected no less from his sister... She's just as competent as he is.'
"If that's the case then I agree... We'll take turns watching over Gray and while we do that... We'll train."
Delta nodded.
"I'll make sure you all get as much rest as possible." Said Delta.
"Speaking of which... What's the training going to be?" Violet asked with her hand under her chin.
A smile grew on Delta's face.
*Glint*
With a sudden spark, the edges of her silver hair lit up in dark flames as she stared in Violet's direction.
"We'll be sparring..."

*Yawn*
Kylo who was spinning around in bed, slowly opened his eyes.
With a quiet yawn he stretched his arms and legs and got up. As he looked to the left, he noticed that his mother was still asleep.
'Looks like she drained herself out while healing the people in the refugee...' He thought to himself with a joyful smile. 'I have the coolest mother in the world...'
Upon looking to the right however, he noticed something was off.
"Hm...?"
The confused expression in his face slowly began to shift into that of fear as he realised.
'Where's... Where's Lita...?'
His sister was gone.
Kylo looked over at the bathroom only to see, through the wide open door, that it was empty.
Struck by fear Kylo leapt off the bed. The wind aided him, allowing him to float over the edge and land on the floor, whilst making as little sound as possible.
He then proceeded to slip on his shoes whilst accurate pinning down the code on the door's buttons to unlock it with minor wind bursts.
*Pssh* *Pssh* *Psssh* *Psssh*
Four tiny air balls of wind soared through the air, each striking a digit on key pad beside the door.
*Beep* *Beep*
The door beeped a green light and opened up after he placed in the correct pin. The accuracy required for such a feat was something Kylo was too distracted to noticed.
*Katchunk*
Kylo quickly dashed out through the front door, leaving behind a trace of wind before vanishing off into the distance.

Main Sector, First Dome.
Refugee Camp.
"Um... Excuse me... Have you seen a young, short girl with blonde hair travel through here? She was my sister." Asked Kylo
The guard who stood by the entrance didn't seem to think much of him and thus ignored him. He continued to keep an eye on the refugees and the people, observing their actions.
A tall Bottle green haired guard, with brown eyes. His hair was clearly dyed and he didn't give off the impression of someone who liked to speak.
Trying to talk to someone like him was probably a waste of time, but Kylo could tell, based on how he was watching everyone's movements, there was a chance he had seen his sister.
"Um..."
Kylo who noticed that he was being ignored let out a sigh.
"Look here." He said as he pulled out a specially made badge.
The guard's eye widened as cold sweat dripped down his forehead. At that instant, he stood at attention and saluted to Kylo.
"Please forgive my behaviour from just now, I didn't know you were one of our treasured guests." He muttered in a shaky tone.
'Fuck...' He zoned out cursing inside of his mind.
'Does that mean you would have ignored me if I wasn't? Is this how you were told to treat the refugees?'
"It's fine, it's fine... Just tell me if you've seen the girl I mentioned or not." Said Kylo with a forced smile.
The officer stared directly at Kylo with a nervous look. He seemed like he had something to say but wasn't sure whether or not he should say it.
'Do I tell the kid...? Won't I get in trouble for not having been able to help though...?'
Kylo noticed how his unusual behaviour. He definitely knew something.
"Please... If you know something tell me... That was my sister, she's a very important person... If anything were to happen to her... I'd..."
Kylo's sadness and worry seemed to rub off on the man as he gave up on trying to hide it. If he got in trouble then it was his fault for failing as a guard.
"I saw a group of men leaded by an old guy walk off with a girl who matches your description to one of the other domes..."
Kylo's heart skipped a beat, his expression grew cold as he cocked his head to the side.
"Where did they go...?" Kylo asked, struggling to keep it cool.
"Well, I'm not sure... I lost track of them like a third of the way through this dome."
"You lost track of them... I see... Why didn't you go after them in the first place?" Kylo asked in a shaky tone.
"Because I'm standing guard, and he didn't seem to mean her any harm... Besides, even if he did. These domes are all heavily guarded, he wouldn't be able to do anything if she just screamed for help."
Kylo placed the palm of his hand on his head.
"You're right..."
Was he just needlessly worrying? Kylo wasn't sure... He wanted to think positive but...
'But what if... What if he had an ability which prevented her from being able to do anything...?'
Kylo let out another deep sigh as he clenched his fists tightly.
"Thank you for the help..."
Without saying anything else, he walked away in the direction of the other dome's entrance as the guard had said.
The guard who had stayed back, glanced over at the guard a few meters away who had been watching him.
"I'm surprised that kid got you scared shitless like that." He teased.
"Shut up... I'm not sure if you could see it or not but he was a guest... Messing with a guest of the new commander is asking to be demoted and sent out to gather supplies."
"Hm... Is that the only reason why you were scared?" The other guard teased again.
The guard who was questioned by Kylo looked over at his back as he walked away... The wind was moving around him in an aggressive, somewhat dangerous manner.
[Clairvoyance.]
His brown eyes glowed as he continued to inspect Kylo's figure.
"What a monster... He really is one of the guests..." Muttered the guard as he watched Kylo's angered figure walk away.
-
"If they lay so much as a finger on her..." Kylo muttered.

*At-choo*
Lita suddenly sneezed.
"Bless you." Said Aurora as she handed her a tissue.
"Thank you." Lita happily responded before blowing her nose.
