Chapter 12: End and Beginning
On a bright morning, a sign of hope emerged. It came and went like words written and erased, a symbol of endings and beginnings.
Vin Crimson opened his eyes, reflecting on the past as if it were a cruel and dark dream. He questioned what had happened and what lay ahead, the meaning of it all.
Vin: "That dream again, today." (Just woke up)
Vin: "Was what happened real?" (Questioning himself)
Vin: "That blurry color holds nothing anymore." (With a blank expression)
Still confused by the events, Vin rose from his bed. He gazed at the beautiful sunlight, tinged with orange and a hint of red, yet it felt empty.
Vin: "Just another ordinary day, with nothing special." (Blank stare)
He scanned his room. Although small, it held memories, traces of dreams from his past.
Vin tidied up his bed before heading to the kitchen, where he found his mother and sister cooking.
The days passed for this family as though nothing extraordinary had ever occurred.
Diana's warm smile and Lisa's laughter brought a sense of beauty to Vin's day, adding meaning to each fleeting moment.
Vin: "(I want this to last forever.)" (A faint smile)
The warmth of his family slightly eased Vin's heavy heart, filling the day with subtle meaning.
Before long, Vin and his family gathered for a meal, enjoying the dishes prepared with care. Together, they savored the moment, their gratitude making the day all the more meaningful.
Vin, Lisa, and Diana, a small, harmonious family filled with warmth.
Now 17 years old, Vin aimed to pursue education at Dilveria Academy, an institution specializing in swordsmanship and magic.
Lisa, at 16, excelled in magic and had a natural talent for quickly mastering new skills.
At 37, Diana became the head of their family, fully supporting her children in their aspirations.
Later, Vin found himself in the backyard, leaning against a tree that bore the scars of an old fire.
Vin: "I still want to become stronger because I have to protect my family." (Staring at the sky)
As he leaned against the aged tree, Vin noticed an old wound on his right hand, a constant reminder of past struggles. Yet his ambition remained, propelling him forward.
Vin: "I trust myself. One day, there will surely be a way." (Gazing at the sky)
The fire within Vin burned like an eternal flame, unquenchable, a relentless drive to find purpose in life.
The sun began to set, signaling the end of this day and the start of something new. Tomorrow would be the day Vin had been waiting for, the day of his entrance exam for Dilveria Academy.
Vin: "Tomorrow, a day when I'll discover something different." (Walking toward his house)
Despite the same wounds, the same pain, and the lingering emptiness within, Vin Crimson moved forward.
Vin: "Even if all I have is my sword, I'll give it my all." (With determined eyes)
As night fell, Vin looked out at the sky through his window. He saw the moon glowing red, the same color as his left eye.
Vin: "(I believe.)" (Inner voice)
He closed the window and lay down to sleep, hoping for a smooth day ahead.
From a distant, yet strangely familiar place, voices emerged again, a sign of what was to come.
Mysterious female voice:
He believes.
Mysterious male voice:
Of course, because I believe too.
Mysterious female voice:
Does he know what's coming?
Mysterious male voice:
We'll see.
The journey begins.
