Cade was waiting for news from the Black Scripture. Feeling uneasy, he stepped out of his residence, only to be met with a horrifying sight: the ground was littered with corpses.

All 300 of his personal guards had been silently slaughtered.

Not a single enemy corpse was left behind.

Cade gazed at the sky, praying for salvation from the Six Gods, but no miracle came.

Soon, soldiers noticed something was amiss and discovered the area littered with corpses and the unconscious Cade.

The next day, Cade woke up, his severed arm having been reattached.

"As a general, dying on the battlefield is my ultimate destiny." Cade, clutching his weapon and dragging his weakened body, ordered his soldiers to assemble and prepare for an attack.

"General, your body!" A loyal officer, who greatly admired Cade, voiced his concern.

"It's nothing!"

"Soldiers! The Theocracy's elite forces have already gone to confront the culprits behind this war. As long as we hold off the Empire's advance, victory will be ours!"

As a general, Cade understood the importance of morale. Right now, he could only resort to deception to maintain it.

A battle without hope was one few could endure.

However, Cade never got the chance to face the Empire's attack.

In the sky appeared a figure clad in golden armor, with four pairs of snow-white wings.

"Is that an angel?"

One of the soldiers from the Slane Theocracy murmured in awe.

The figure in the sky rapidly descended toward the ground.

The members of the Six Scriptures were still confused, unsure of what had just happened. How had they all been revived?

Many of those present had died at Shalltear's hands, and they were well aware of her strength. Moreover, Peroroncino was Shalltear's master.

Several people swallowed nervously, trying to calm themselves.

Meanwhile, Bukubukuchagama, Mare and Aura were watching everything from the sky.

Bukubukuchagama was still concerned about her younger brother, given the past lessons learned. The most important thing was that she had nothing left to do—her subordinates had already handled everything she wanted to accomplish.

In an instant, Peroroncino appeared right in front of Bukana, pinching her... and smiled.

Bukana was publicly humiliated, but all the humans present were powerless to do anything.
