Overlord: The Multiverse

Chapter 191: Chapter 191: Serafall 1

"Didn't you say you wanted to talk about serious things?" I asked, watching Serafall as she sprawled herself out on the sofa like she owned the place.

"But I don't really like talking about serious things, Alex-chan. I'd much rather have fun!" she replied, kicking her legs slightly as if the very idea of serious conversation bored her to tears.

I sighed, leaning against the wall with my arms crossed. "Yeah, I like to have fun too, but I'm pretty sure you came here to talk to me about Sona." I raised an eyebrow, knowing full well that the real reason for her visit was bubbling under her bubbly personality.

She puffed out her cheeks, her playful demeanor briefly faltering as she glanced over at me. "Normally, I'd tell you that you're not enough for So-tan, and that you're nothing but an NTR bastard who stole her from me." She stuck out her tongue, almost making light of what should have been a serious statement. Then she waved a hand dismissively. "But since I already told you that before, I don't really have much else to say."

I couldn't help but chuckle at how casually she delivered such an intense remark. "Well, that's reassuring," I said, though the teasing smirk didn't leave my face.

Serafall sat up slightly, her expression softening just a bit. "But seriously, Alex-chan," she began, her tone shifting ever so slightly. "I do worry about So-tan. She's my precious little sister, and even though I'm teasing you, I need to make sure she's happy."

"I know, Serafall," I replied, my tone matching hers. "You don't have to worry about that. I'll do everything to make sure Sona's happy."

For a moment, her usual cheerful mask dropped, revealing the big sister behind the magical girl persona. "You better," she said softly, her eyes locking with mine. "Because if you hurt her, you're not just dealing with the Devil Kings. You're dealing with me."

The threat was real, but so was the concern. Despite everything, Serafall was protective of her family, and I respected that. "Understood," I said, nodding.

Her demeanor quickly returned to normal as she flopped back onto the sofa. "Anyway, now that we've got that out of the way, how about we watch some anime together? I brought a new magical girl series that's to die for!"

"Seriously, that what you have to say after that emotional talk." I walked towards her.

Serafall's playful demeanor returned almost instantly as she flopped back onto the sofa, her earlier seriousness all but forgotten. "Anyway, now that we've got that out of the way, how about we watch some anime together? I brought a new magical girl series that's to die for!"

I raised an eyebrow at her. "Seriously? That's what you have to say after that emotional conversation?" I shook my head, standing up and walking toward her.

She blinked in surprise when I scooped her up and sat her down on my lap. Serafall, in her usual magical girl costume, felt even lighter than I expected, making the moment almost comical. "Alex-chan!" she half-protested, half-laughed, pouting as she looked up at me. "You're so mean, picking me up like I'm some kind of doll."

I smirked, leaning in slightly, our faces close enough to feel her breath. "You know, now that I think about it, there's something you haven't answered yet."

Serafall looked at me, playing innocent even though I could tell she knew exactly what I was talking about. "What question, Alex-chan?" she asked, fluttering her eyelashes at me in a mock attempt to act clueless.

I narrowed my eyes playfully. "Don't play dumb, Serafall. You know exactly what question. Remember? I asked you back then—do you want to become my lover too?"

Her eyes widened for a moment, and I could see a flicker of surprise pass through her usual cheerful expression. She quickly recovered, though, putting on her usual teasing smile. "Oh, that question!" She pretended to think about it, tapping a finger against her chin. "Hmm, I don't know. Do I want to share Alex-chan with So-tan?"

I leaned in slightly, narrowing my eyes as I teased her. "Oh come on, Serafall. Do I really need to kiss you to help you make up your mind?"

Her cheeks flushed slightly, and for once, her usual playful composure faltered. "A-Alex-chan!" she stammered, half-laughing but clearly caught off guard. She quickly shook it off, crossing her arms and pouting like she often did. "You can't just kiss your way out of everything, you know!"

I smirked, leaning a little closer. "Seems to work well enough with you," I teased.

Serafall's pout deepened, but I could see her struggling to hide the smile tugging at her lips. "You really think a kiss is going to get me to say yes?" she asked, half-challenging, half-teasing.

"Why don't we find out?" I replied, closing the gap between us just a little more.

She blinked, clearly caught off guard by how close we were now. For a brief moment, her playful demeanor faded, replaced by something softer, more genuine. Then, with a small sigh, she rested her forehead against mine. "You're impossible, Alex-chan... but fine," she whispered. "You win."

I smiled, pulling back slightly to look into her eyes. "So, does that mean...?"

Serafall gave me a quick, playful peck on the cheek before hopping off my lap with a grin. "Yeah, yeah, I'll be your lover too," she said, sticking her tongue out at me. "But don't think you can just kiss me anytime you want without watching my magical girl shows!"

I chuckled, watching her flit around the room. "Guess I'll have to learn to enjoy those shows, huh?"

"You bet!" she replied with a wink. "But before that..." She came close to me, and kissed me on my lips.
