Overlord: The Multiverse

When we entered, we found Rias standing with a tall, handsome young man with blond hair and blue eyes. He wore an elegant white suit with a red shirt, exuding an air of arrogance and confidence.

This was Riser Phenex. Looks punchable enough.

There was also Kiba, Koneko, Issey and Grayfia at side.

Rias has a very unpleasant face. Akeno is smiling like usual, but she has cold vibe.

Koneko is sitting on a chair at the corner quietly. It seems like she doesn't want to get involved with others much as possible.

The room has an atmosphere where no one is talking.

Kiba quietly says "Oh my" after seeing us. The three of us goes inside the room.

Grayfia, as always, was expressionless.

That's how tense the atmosphere of this room is.

Asia is also feeling uneasy so she holds onto my sleeve with an uneasy face. I pat on her head to comfort her and to make her feel safe.

"Rias, my dear, it's been too long," Riser said with a smug smile. "I came to see my beautiful fiancée."

Rias's expression was one of barely contained anger. "Riser, what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you, of course," Riser replied smoothly. "And to remind you of our engagement. It's time we started planning our wedding."

He said as he was about put his arms around his Rias.

I stepped forward, placing myself between Rias and Riser. "It sure is nice weather today. Good day for a picnic. But sadly, it's going to be a bad day for you."

Riser looked at me with a mix of confusion and irritation. "Who are you to interfere in this matter? This is between Rias and me."

"I'm Alexander," I said calmly, meeting his gaze. "In case, Rias wasn't clear, She doesn't what to marry you and one more thing, She is my Girlfriend."

"You are?" Riser said, his confusion deepening.

"I am?" Rias echoed, her eyes widening in surprise.

I turned to Rias with a confident smile. "Are you not, I mean you did break into my bedroom yesterday."

Rias's cheeks turned a faint shade of pink, but she quickly recovered, "That's right. Alexander is my boyfriend. And I have no intention of marrying you, Riser."

Riser's eyes narrowed. "We'll get to that later, Rias. But first, mind explaining what he just said?"

Rias straightened up, meeting Riser's gaze without flinching. "I did visit Alexander last night, and it wasn't for anything inappropriate. I wanted to discuss my engagement and how to break free from it."

No, you came to fuck with me, Stop lying.

Riser scoffed. "And you think this... boyfriend of yours can help you? Do you know who you're dealing with, Rias?"

"Oh, we know exactly who we're dealing with. You're the guy who thinks he's hot stuff because he can regenerate from a few burns. Big deal. What are you going to do, heal from a bruised ego when you lose?"

Sweet, Now I am truly feeling like a young master.

Riser's smirk faltered for a moment, but he quickly recovered. "You have no idea who you're challenging."

"Listen here, bird brain, it's you who has no idea who you're dealing with." I retorted, stepping forward. The atmosphere grew tense, and before things could escalate further, Grayfia stepped between us.

"Enough," Grayfia said firmly, her voice carrying a tone of authority that demanded attention. "This is not the place for such conflicts. Riser, you know the consequences of engaging in a fight outside of an official Rating Game."

While this was happening, Issey who has no idea what was happening looked at Akeno.

"What is happening here?" Hearing Issey, Akeno explained it to her.

"That guys is engaged to Rias."

"The tea made by Rias's [Queen] is superb."

"Thank you very much." Akeno said.

Akeno is also smiling, but she doesn't say her usual "Ara ara" and "Ufufu". She is giving junior Albedo vibes.

I was sitting on the sofa with Rias on my right. Riser opposite to us and is looking really pissed. As he couldn't sit next to Rias.

I don't really hate Riser like how I hated freed, In fact, if it was any other situation, I think we both will just ignore each other carry on with our business.

Now we can't.

"Riser, I tell you once again I will not marry you.

"Yeah, I heard that before. But Rias, that won't do, you know? I think the situation of your household is quite serious."

"That's none of your concern! If I'm the next heiress for the House of Gremory, then I will choose who will become my husband! My father, brother, and everyone in the clan are rushing it! Also it was a promise that I will be free until I graduate from university of the human world!"

"That's right. You will basically be free. You can go to college and you can do whatever you like with your servants. But your Otou- sama and Sirzechs-sama are worried. They are afraid that your household will become extinct. We lost a great number of pure- blood Devils in the last war."

"Even if the war has ended, our rivalry with the Fallen Angels and God hasn't ended yet. It's not rare for the successors of pure-blood Devil to get killed in the worthless battle against them, which leads to the household becoming extinct."
