Overlord Tamer: All My Pet Monsters Have God Potential

Chapter 204: Conflict

John's aim for coming here was to find and participate in a big competition.

Each of those big forces held competitions regularly. Winners could enter secret dimensions for rich resources, and that was John's aim.

He sure had a lot of resources and riches, but all of them were at the Sovereign rank.

Now that he had arrived in this Temeraat World, he would need a lot of Legendary-rank and Mythical-rank resources.

His black hair shimmered faintly under the lamplight, now streaked with blueish-purple strands that caught and reflected the gold and violet hues of the setting sky. His violet eyes, deep as twin galaxies, shifted with lightning sparks of rose-gold, relaxed, unreadable. Each flicker of color hinted at a deeper emotion, but only he knew what they meant.

He wore a high-collared obsidian shirt etched with subtle runic threadwork that shimmered only when looked at from the corner of one's eyes. Over it, a long coat hung open—storm-gray on the outside, but its inside shimmered like flowing mercury ink, constantly shifting patterns across a hidden starlit void. A faint breeze fluttered its hem as he walked.

His pants were slate-black, sleek and tailored, trimmed with silver runes near the ankles that pulsed with subtle energy. His boots, dark-crimson and faintly radiant, left no sound with each step, despite their heavy soles—a design of both elegance and battle-readiness.

This was a Calamity-rank outfit he bought from Xhalthuun's shop, costing him 7 million Xhal Drops.

John stepped into a restaurant nestled on a giant tree complex, roughly three hundred meters off the ground—Sable Flame Restro.

He wanted to eat the heightened delicacy first.

Jibril and Yuna were with him as he took them out of Monster Paradise after arriving in the city.

Azelis and the other Tamers she led had returned to their base. They were enjoying VIP treatment from those forces and building the branch.

To set up the branch, Mr. Tauren asked for 'gifts' from each force, but these gifts were different.

What he asked for was territories and secret dimensions. John wanted to build his kingdom and make it strong, so he needed them.

So Azelis and others returned and relayed this to the forces.

Unless they prepared this, he wouldn't start his business.

Unsurprisingly, those forces didn't have any problem with that. No amount of secret dimensions could produce Tamers like those ten they had seen.

Of course, John was going to drop another bomb that would shock everyone, but later, as he also needed to prepare for that first.

"Welcome, dear customer. You are right on time, we just have one dining pavilion left."

The staff lady smiled at the trio and led them to the private dining pavilion.

This restaurant didn't have a hall, but rather, small private dining open pavilions on their floor's massive branch to enjoy the large tree's view and its decoration, filled with pure and rich air.

The menu was extensive.

The price was in Sovereign Essence Coins, Legendary Essence Coins, and Mythical Essence Coins.

Each dish was no less than 100,000 Sovereign Essence Coins, while some went to millions due to the high-ranking ingredients and monster meat used.

After ordering everything, the total bill came to 3.2 million Sovereign Essence Coins since John ordered a few Legendary-rank dishes for himself.

Jibril and Yuna had Sovereign-rank dishes since their bodies wouldn't be able to handle Legendary-rank dishes.

"John, I turned seventeen twenty-four days ago." Yuna stared at John.

"Happy belated birthday." John smiled.

"Thanks. But just so you know, I am still waiting." Yuna's expression was deadpan. "And I'll continue to wait."

Jibril wryly smiled.

On the other hand, John chuckled. Resting his chin on his hand, he looked at Yuna and smiled. "Cutie pie, you won't need to wait much longer."

Yuna's eyes widened, and her cheeks turned red. 'Did he call me cutie pie?'

John blinked as he gestured, like taking a picture, and a real picture was captured in a fabric of light and space.

"Here. A cutie pie, right?" John showed the picture.

"True." Jibril chuckled.

Yuna wasn't expecting this sudden rain of happiness.

"However, you still have to wait a bit." John looked at his hand. "My body is a bit different right now. I have overflowing energy within me, which is good to me, but if it leaked to someone else, it could be very dangerous."

"I also want to find a way to make other people turn into half-human, half-eldritch race like me." John grinned. "There are various races here, with each party among those races having its perks. I also want my kingdom of a new race, and we will have perks no less powerful than others."

"Just the Eldritch attribute is powerful, but we will also need to explore Abyss Labyrinth and make use of the Eldritch Gears."

Jibril blinked, curious. "So, are those Eldritch Gears only for Monsters like soul gears? Or can we also use them?"

Soul Gears were something Monster Gods architected, and they were only for Monsters.

After acquiring a Soul Gear, the Monster's overall power would get a significant boost, depending on the quality of the Soul Gear.

"Yep. Eldritch Gears are something we can use. According to Chuthulos, we can bind with a single Eldritch Gear, which gives us a significant boost in certain areas. Since I am going to craft them using Eldritch Gear Forge, I can make sure each of us has an Eldritch Gear with matching attributes."

"That sounds powerful," Yuna said. "When will we enter the Abyss Labyrinth?"

"Well…" John looked at the Molding Essence he had gathered so far and grinned. "We can enter anytime. I have so much Molding Essence now."

[ Molding Essence: 6.1 billion. ]

"Since I have a lot of Molding Essence now, we can take a look at Abyss Labyrinth after eating. Even if we can't gather many resources and Eldritch Energy from inside with just three of us, it would be a worthwhile trip."

"So, Eldritch Energy is the main thing we need to craft Eldritch Gears, right?" Jibril asked.

"Yep, but we need more than that. We need Monster's soul core, which allows for functionality and rank, and other resources to determine its attributes. I'll use custom resources for that. Finally, Eldritch Energy to tie everything up, shaping it into an Eldritch Gear usable by us."

As John finished speaking, a staff member of the restaurant arrived, his expression apologetic.

"Dear customers. I am really sorry to say this, but…you would have to leave as we can't prepare your order."

The trio was taken aback.

"Why?" John blinked. "What's the problem?"

"That…this table was in the pavilion was reserved, but the staff didn't know."

Suddenly, the entry gate to the pavilion opened as several people, three females and three males, entered.

"What's taking so long?" the leading young man with black-golden hair, having an aura of Mythical, while the rest were at Legendary-rank.

The young man saw John and the other two before indifferently saying, "Get the fuck out fast. We are hungry as hell."

John's eyes turned cold.

After glancing away from the group, he turned to the staff. "This pavilion wasn't reserved, am I right?"

Before the staff could speak, the young man snorted. "Yeah, it wasn't. Your food isn't here yet, so get out and find another place."

"Do you have to be so rude?" Jibril frowned.

One of the guys in the group chuckled. "You two can stay. We can have fun after the meal."

"Piece of trash, I wouldn't want to breathe the same air as you if possible." Yuna sneered.

"You…"

"Bitch, what did you say?" one of the girls stepped forward, using a powerful directed heat of level 6 Flame mastery at the trio.

However, nothing could pass through the faint veil of Voidspace John created.

"Let's go." John stood up.

'John, are we just going to leave like that?' Yuna was dissatisfied, and so was Jibril.

'What do you think?' John glanced at them with a faint, cold smile.

"Yeah, get out."

The group of six sat down.

"Come here." John turned to the staff as he exited the pavilion.

The staff quickly ran over, feeling bad for the customers.

Seeing that, the young man of the group frowned. He turned to his orange-haired friend and said, "Fire him. Instead of taking orders from us, he went to that trash."

"Consider it done."

The staff, who was a man looking in his twenties, stiffened as he heard the words, and so did John and others.

"Don't worry," John said as he patted his shoulder. "Tell me about them. What is their position in this city?"

He formed a veil to make sure their voices wouldn't enter the pavilion.

"T-they…the person with black-golden hair is the young master of the Ulaang family. They run this city. The others are heirs of smaller families allied with the Ulaang family."

"Tell me their strengths."

"The head of the Ulaang family is a 4th-century Tamer. They have two more calamity-rank tamers, weaker. That's their main strength."

"Got it." John's smile was icy. "You want to come to watch a show? You're fired anyway."

The guy didn't know what John was talking about, but it was true.

Even if he begged to death, they wouldn't give the job back. That's the kind of people they were.

"Okay."

John snapped his finger, teleported all four of them high up in the sky.

"Where's their place? The Ulaang family."

"There. The biggest mansion in the city is theirs."

"Good." John chuckled.

He looked up before his eyes glinted, shooting a projectile resembling a single eye, made from Chronolight and Voidspace.

It crossed a terrific distance each second and shortly arrived at the chaotic floating islands where dangerous Calamity-rank monsters lurked.

"Let's go. We'll have dinner in their home while also teaching them some manners on how to raise kids properly."
