Overgeared: Path of Absolute

Grid and Isabel, along with the 11 children the paladins and priest guarding, finally leave the 'Decaying Forest'. Seeing the sun setting down, the 9 children were in awe of the beauty of sunset because they had been trapped by the Yatan Followers in the 'Abyss Forest' for 2 days without much light with creepy people alongside the undead.

Grid smiled at the children, seeing them smiling after the events they had gone through. Isabel saw Grid showing a warm smile to the children, making her blush and look at the side of the road, trying not to show it in front of Grid. Meanwhile, the paladins and priest, seeing Isabel's action, let out a small laugh while the others smiled at her cute reaction.

As they continued to walk towards Patrian, the children asked Grid about his adventures and Grid happily told all the children his adventures like fighting a big slime that's acidic, getting rid of the rabbit infestation, saving and helping Anna make medicine for her daughter Lily and lastly saving the twins Alfia and Meteria.

The children are awed at Grid's adventures, while Isabel is happy that Grid saved lives but at the same time jealous of the 3 girls he saved, as for the paladins and priests they nod at Grid's achievements worthy of a champion maybe even a hero, finally, they saw the wall of Patrian and one of the paladins spoke.

"Lady Isabel, Sir Grid, we are nearing the gates of Patrian I would like to ask what action should we take regarding the children..."

Isabel's grievance at this since she doesn't want to take the children to the orphanage if possible since she knows how hard to adjust to a place you don't know, while Grid is worried since he knows the parents of the 9 children are probably already dead that means they have no homes to come back to. The children hearing the paladin's words immediately clang to Grid's side afraid of the possibility of Grid leaving them behind or worse getting kidnap again by slave traders, Grid seeing their action let out a sad smile and started caressing the head of the 9 children, Grid made a decision and said.

"I... I don't mind taking care of the children until they grow into adulthood, I would take care of them and help them grow to be independent and strong adults."

Hearing Grid's words the children cried while saying thank you over and over while hugging Grid, Grid just continued caressing their heads and said "Don't worry kids everything will be fine." Seeing this Isabel's smiles widen and imagines herself with Grid having their own happy family, as she realizes her thoughts she shakes her head and thinks to herself.

'W-What the heck am I thinking...! I should think of something...! Like how handsome is Sir Gri- ugh, dammit stop thinking of Sir Grid...!'

As Isabel was having trouble controlling her thoughts, the paladins and priests were in awe of Grid's action of taking care of the children, Grid saw the reactions of the people around him and thought to himself.

'*Sigh I guess my bad luck and misunderstanding followed me here... I guess I just have to deal with it...'

-Unknown Area, Yatan Church Headquarters'

In a dark place where all the worst of the worst human beings gather, a woman with radiant beauty, a slim figure, and black hair is in front of these humans and kneeling on one leg with her right hand on top of her kneeling leg while she is looking down at the floor, the people mutter at each other and saying a word such as.

"Wow... Look at that woman such a beautiful face and body... I just want to break her and see her face begging mercy to stop kekeke...!"

"I know right? If only I could have her on my bed... Ohh... Just imagine the things I could do to her hahaha...!"

The two black magicians saying this were laughing like idiots suddenly they were burned to ashes by a 'Fireball' cast by a man wearing a purple cloak with grey and it was none other than the 1st Servant of Yantan 'Tallos' Seeing the two magicians died all the muttering came to a stop making the places quite.

"Yura... You have done such a feat for someone who just became a follower... As such I will reward you with the position of 'Yatan Servant Candidate' so don't disappoint me, and lastly, if you get stronger I might give you the chance to become a half-demon."

The woman named Yura stood up and bowed her head, while the followers hearing Tallos' words were shocked because Yura was already becoming a candidate for the 8th seat, Yura ignored them and just left the cave with a serious look as she walked to the exit without care, she spotted Malacus entering the cave with multiple injuries.

Malacus who just come back looked at Yura with killing intent, Yura just continued walking while ignoring Malacus's glare, seeing her action Malacus was baffled for a moment but let out a mad laugh and said.

"Good, good such a fierce look without fearing the danger in front of her is fit to be a servant of Yatan, I hope you don't die too early since a talent like you shouldn't be wasted."

Yura without saying a word just ignored him and left, Malacus just smiled with an evil grin and went inside to get help from their medic, Yura after reaching the exit thought to herself.

'Good, the faster I finish the Yatan Church quest, the sooner I can leave and get the legendary class 'Demon Slayer' and meet Grid... I hope he remembers me even if the chances of him regressing and having his old memory are low...'

As she finished thinking she cast 'Teleport' and left the area without care to finish her quest as fast as possible.

-Eternal Kingdom, Patrian City-

The party consisting of Grid, Isabel, the children, and the followers of Rebecca finally arrive, the paladins and priest head out first to report that their mission was completed without a hitch, while Isabel stays with Grid with an excuse of protecting the children, as they walked towards a destination not know by Isabel she spoke and asked Grid.

"Sir Grid, may I ask a question... Where exactly are we going?"

Grid hearing Isabel's question simply replied.

"We're going to an Inn, since currently I'm homeless I'm going to talk to a friend, to ask him to allow the children to stay with him for a while until I'm able to afford a home."

Hearing Grid's words Isabel nodded her head and they continued to walk along with the children, after 10 minutes of walking they arrived at Airgid's Inn which is called Omori's Inn, as they entered multiple people looked at them specifically all the men looked Isabel while all the women looked at Grid with lust, Grid paid them no mind but Isabel is a different story as she glared at all the men looking at her with lust and showed a little bit of killing intent to all the women looking at Grid hungrily.

As they arrive at the front of the bar counter Grid spots Airgid and says.

"Airgid...!" Airgid hearing a familiar voice turns back and sees Grid. "Grid...!" As he said this they both hugged each other for 2 seconds after that they shook hands while laughing, Isabel along with the children smiled at Grid and Airgid being friendly.

"Hahaha... Grid, I didn't expect you to come back here early."

"Yeah, same here... I'm going to be forward with you Airgid... I need help, if it's not too much trouble, can you allow these children to stay here for 3 weeks or maybe a month until I find a place?"

Airgid hearing Grid's words looked back at his current companion, one being a pretty woman with pristine white hair, with 9 kids hiding behind her back, Airgid showed a gentle smile to make the children less scared due to his scary look.

"*Sigh Grid you can stay as long as you want along with the children, I'm willing to help you with the kids because not only you will need help to raise them but also you save my twin daughters' lives."

Airgid said with a smile but also he knows his twin daughters love Grid, so for him, it's a win-win situation he also likes Grid to be the one to marry both his daughters, Grid being oblivious to Airgid's plan says thank you repeatedly, alongside the children thanking Airgid, he just smiles at this and said no problem.

"Thank you Airgid, as much as I want to talk I have to go somewhere right now since time is of up essence."

Hearing this Airgid nods his head, although he wants Grid to meet Alfia and Meterai before leaving, he knows Grid has something important thing to do, Isabel seeing Grid leaving immediately said goodbye to Airgid and the children following him.

As Grid and Isabel were about to leave, suddenly Grid was tackled by a girl it's none other than Meteria.

"Grid...! I miss you so much...! Did you miss me!? Did you miss me!?"

"Sister... Let go of Grid, you're making him uncomfortable."

Grid smiled awkwardly at Meteria and Alfia as he returned her hug gently and said.

"It's good to see you both Alfia and Meteria I hope both of you're doing ok"

Meteria just smiled at Grid and nodded her head with a happy smile, as for Alfia she just hummed and said.

"We're doing fine, thanks to you curing our sickness we're able to move much more freely without much constraint... Also, I can now do this."

As Alfia finishes speaking, Grid senses mana spiking around Alfia, suddenly a perfect replica of her is floating behind her made out of mana, and the surroundings are bathed by the light blue color radiating from the Alfia made out of mana, Grid sees this was shocked not only was she able to already use magic at this level, but it's magic similar to his 'Divine Body' where another conscious was present that has the same intelligence as the original body and helps in battle, the only difference is Alfia's secondary body made of mana can't learn new skills unlike his 'Divine Body'.

Meteria seeing Grid's reaction to Alfia's magic pouted and suddenly cast her skill, Grid sensing Meteria's action looked at her, suddenly a magic circle was summoned behind Meteria, and a sudden spike of mana was released by the magic circle and a being came out, stands a spirit clad in ice with snow surrounding her body with regal and icy look and a pale and radiant gleam like frozen starlight in a dream her hair cascades in frosty flow.

As a shimmering wave of ice and snow. Crystalline garb, both fierce and bare, adorns her form with elegant flair. Eyes like glaciers, cold yet deep, hold secrets ancient winters keep. A goddess carved from winter's breath, graceful, fierce, a chilling death, the ice spirit then spoke.

"Child, for what reason have you summoned me here in the physical plain?"

The ice spirit said with a melodic voice, all the people were mesmerized by her voice, and with her sensual body almost everyone was charmed, Grid, Isabel, Alfia, and Airgid were barely able to resist the charm being exuded by the ice spirit, meanwhile Meteria just smiled and said.

"I Meteria, your contractor summoned you here to impress Grid...!"

Meteria said confidently while puffing her chest with a proud look, others hearing Meteria's reason were stunned because she summoned a strong spirit just to impress Grid, Alfia just shook her head at Meteria clearly expressing her disappointment, Isabel was perplexed by Meteria's absurd reason for summoning one of the legendary spirits that rule winter, as for Grid he was absolutely gobsmacked at Meteria and just thought.

'What an absurd reason...! She just summoned a spirit that can one-shot the 1st servant of Yatan with no difficulty, yet she just summoned it for my attention...'

Meanwhile, Airgid let out a chuckle at his daughter's action, as for the ice spirit she looked at Meteria for a few seconds before letting out a soft laugh.

"Hahaha... I Shiva the ruler of winter, the embodiment of ice itself, was summoned just to impress a man you like... Hahaha..."

Shiva said with a soft laugh that sounded like a melodic note to the people hearing her voice, Grid just sighed and said. "This going to take a while"

-40 minutes later brought to you by Chibi Grid, Isabel, Alfia, and Meterai going towards a mini house owned by Chibi Anna-

After the absurd event that happened at Omori's Inn, he and Isabel finally arrive at Anna's place, with Alfia and Meteria as a tag along, Alfia was nonchalantly just flying using levitation magic instead of walking normally, as for Meteria she was sitting sideways in the back of a spirit wolf called Fenrir. Finally, they arrived at the front door, Grid knocked gently and said.

"Miss Anna, are you there? It's me Grid...!"

After saying this Grid and his companions hear someone running inside the house, after waiting for 7 seconds the door is opened by none other than Lily the daughter of Anna, seeing Lily beaming with a smile, Meteria couldn't help herself and let out a squeal because of how adorable Lily is, as for Alfia she gently smiled at Lily while waving at her.

Isabel meanwhile was having a minor problem, and it was not being able to hug Lily with all her might, she stopped herself knowing she might hurt Lily with her hugs, as for Grid he smiled softly at Lily and said.

"Hello Lily, are you feeling better now?"

Grid asked with a soft voice, Lily nodded her head and suddenly hugged and while saying.

"Yes! Thanks to you and Mama I'm feeling much better now... And can I ask what's Mr prince doing here? Are you here to take me and Mama away?"

Lily asked innocently, Grid coughed a little bit while Meteria was frozen in place due to Lily's words, as for Alfia she chuckled at Grid's reaction softly, though Isabel just kept staring at Lily while muttering the words family, kids, and husband.

"*Ah-ahem I'm not here to take you and your Mama away sorry, but I'm here to ask your Mama's help to cure someone who's very sick and needs the help of your Mama."

Lily stopped hugging Grid, nodded her small head, and led him and his companion inside the house, Meteria who was still frozen in place was carried by Alfia using some kind of space-related magic to carry her inside, as for Isabel she was just on auto-pilot right now imagining her delusion of her and Grid being married.

As they were in the deepest part of the house, they saw Anna making a bunch of potions at the same time checking all the other flasks that were being heated as she cooled them using some kind of ice magic, as Anna finish she looked back and sees Grid and accidentally yelled while saying.

"G-Grid...! Wh-what are you doing here!?"

Grid just chuckled at her reaction nonetheless, he explained the reason why he was here, Anna hearing Grid's request agreed and they started working on the medicines and potions that needed to be consumed by Countess Feya.

-Saharan Empire, Duke Grenhal's Territory, Exon's Dungeon-

The dungeon was named after a famous ancient magician in the time of Sharan the first emperor, and it was being raided by a young-looking swordsman wearing a black dopo with long black hair who used a sword to deflect an attack coming from a nimble golem that shot 'Stone Arrow' continuously, as more and more attack comes at the young swordsman, he suddenly uses a sword skill that uses sword energy making it more powerful.

Suddenly the nimble golem's legs were cut and it tripped forward, seeing this the young swordsman instantly took advantage and dashed forward to stab the golem's core, seeing the mans action the nimble golem tried to dodge but it failed due to its legs being cut and died from the young man stabbing its golem core.

Finally killing the nimble golem the man let out a sigh, sat down on the floor to restore his stamina, and ate to fasten his stamina regeneration, as a light pierced through the gap of the dungeon it shone on the man revealing his handsome face and name 'Kraugel' one of the best players in satisfy and the future rival of the strongest player 'Grid'

After resting enough he suddenly spoke and said.

"It seems the dungeon is much harder than I thought... I should prepare some potions and items to conquer this dungeon, as much I want to clear it now it should be impossible with my current stats."

After speaking these words he stands up and begins walking toward the exit preparing himself to hunt outside for a while, until he grows enough and can beat the dungeon.

Until then Kraugel decided to hunt the field monster and just come back to the dungeon later since he knew at the current time, no one would be able to conquer it.

-Eternal Kingdom, Patrian, Ashur's Household-

Grid and his companion finally arrive at the household of Earl Ashur, after they finish making the medicine and potions they say their goodbyes to both Anna and Lily as they go straight to Ashur's home to cure his wife Feya of her disease.

Meteria was nervous being here since she heard from the other people that nobles usually treat them as disposable or pleasure for use since they have the right to command commoners, Alfia seeing her sister trembling used her mana to calm down Meteria's mind, although Isabel is showing her dignity as the Rebecca's daughter, the servants simply bowed at them a guided them to Earl Ashur and Countess Feya.

As they arrive Ashur sees Grid smiling while carrying a box, seeing this his eyes light up with hope but at the same time worried that it might be poisoned, but seeing one of the strongest of Rebecca's Church here he doubts it's poisoned.

"Earl Ashur, I have brought the medicine and potions that are needed for Countess Feya's condition to be cured with no side effects."

Grid said confidently, Ashur then looked at Isabel, who just nodded at him indicating to trust Grid, seeing this Ashur gave the medicine and potions to Feya, Feya looked at the medicine and potions for a while and decided to consume it.

After consuming all the things that Grid brought, her complexion became healthier, and full of life, Ashur seeing this cried and hugged his wife while repeatedly saying thank you to Goddess Rebecca, seeing Meteria smile at the relationship of Ashur and Feya, Alfia just hummed fully believing Grid to be able to cure Countess Feya's condition, while Isabel smiled seeing Ashur saying his thanks to Goddess Rebbeca.

'Good... With this, a lot of things would change in the future, since I managed to change the fate of Ashur."

Little did Grid know this would affect not only Ashur's future but also the future of Reidan.
