Chapter 20: Investigating the Red-light district I.V
This is a side chapter I wrote as an apology for not updating my story in a while. This is canon.
--------
"I'm counting on you Shinobu."
"Um." She nodded and took out the white rose that she has been wearing all this time. She placed it in a nearby vase for safe keeping and went out.
(*Sigh* What would I do without her?)
(Well, if I didn't have her with me, I would just go kill Upper six after practicing with my new powers. But this time, I have to consider about other people. In my fight, there's no telling who can get hurt.) I stretched as I looked around the room and spotted the white rose in the vase.
"Hmm, it looks like the rose I bought for her is starting to wither. I wonder if I can do something about it?"
"Well, it doesn't hurt to check."
"Gokai Change."
"Gokaiger!" I transformed into Gokai Red.
(Now let see, how to stop the flower from withering... flower is a kind of plant right? And a plant is a living thing, but every living thing eventually die. No one can escape time...*snap* Timeranger! I wonder if they have a method. In Timeranger, TimeGreen was the Timerangers' technical expert.)
"Timeranger!"
"TimeGreen."
(Hmmm.... I can't find of anything useful! I can use the Voltech Bazooka's Press Re-Freezer to stop it in time, but it will also compress the flower making it a lot smaller.)
(Then what about the Chrono Changer?)
"Hmmm, this button is for acceleration but what does the other buttons do? Is there a reverse button on this? Maybe this..." I pressed one of the buttons on the Chrono Changer as it lit up green.
*Whoosh*
(I don't feel any different. Should I try walking around?) I walked toward the table and poured some tea for me to drink but the tea came out in slow motion.
(Wa-This is the time acceleration power of the Chrono Changer from Timerangers. But it's not really useful to me now.) I pressed the same button that started the time acceleration and the tea pot that I left in the middle of the air spilled tea all over the table and floor.
"*Sigh*, now the floor is going to smell like tea."
(Thank god the tea pot didn't break or else I have to pay for it. I mean sure I have a lot of money now but it's still my hard earn money, and I don't want to spend it on anything else than me and Of course Shinobu.)
(I can also use my Arc of Embodiment to make money, but I feel like it'd make me lose my sense of money and devalue things. *Sigh* Let's just try to use my salary for now and hold off on my easy solution until I need to use it.)
(Hmm...Let's see, it looks like the Chrono Changer only accelerated the time! I don't know why but I didn't get the full knowledge of Time Green.)
(I don't know how to change the functions of a Chrono Changer. I could get stuck in a time loop or worse if I try to mess with it.)
(And my Arc of Embodiment doesn't work like I thought it would. It looks like have to at least seen the device or magic I want to create to make it work. But I've never seen a device that can make time on a specific object without affecting anything else.)
(Looks like the scientific solution is out, so let's try the non-scientific solution...Magic!)
"Gokai Change."
"Magiranger!"
"MagiGreen!"
"Now, Let's see which spell is most effective." I opened the Magi phone and started using the most familiar spell.
"Jii Magika!" I used the spell on the rose, but nothing changed.
"Jiruma Magika!" I used another spell but also nothing changed.
"Hmm, looks like I can't restore it with the normal spells." I scratched the back of my head.
"Wait...What if I invent a new spell? I mean, I already know what each number means." I thought it over and finally decided to give it a shot.
"Let's see, I want it to remain into its prime form so it's normal plant structure needs to change. I need the power of the Magi phone to use a technique. And last but not least I need to use elemental energy of the spirit."
"So, this code should work..." I pressed *8-1-2-7* and used it on the rose.
"Jii Maaji Jiruma Majika!" The tip of the Magi phone lit up as a green light left the phone and the spell hit the rose.
At first nothing happened. (Did I fail...) I started doubting myself when the rose's steam started to grow bigger and bigger.
(Ok, this is not looking good.)
And the flower became a human-like plant creature.
(This is definitely not looking good.)
"Grrrr!!!" The plant creature growled and moved its whip-like arms to attack me.
"Woh." I duck under the vines. "It's fast." I quickly made a kunai and cut off the vine.
Thud
The plant stops for a moment before launching more vines at me. I try to dodge the vines and noticed that the first vine I cut started regenerating at a speed naked to the eye.
(It can also regenerate! *Hehe* Sometime, I'm too awesome for my own good.) I had a smug smile as the thought of my awesomeness.
*Whoosh* *Whoosh*
The plant creature attacks me one again and I spin the kunai, grab it in a backhand grip and cut the vines again.
"Jinga Majuna." I use a spell that create a magic barrier for myself. The plant creature continuously attacks me with more force behind each attack.
(I guess I should stop playing around before it damages anything else. Should I keep it as a pet? Nah, Let's just destroy it to avoid any trouble.)
I pressed *0-9* to use the spell that directly destroys a target.
"Magi Majuna." The spell hit the monster and it started swelling before blowing up.
It blew up without making too much noise, however, it also covered the entire room with green plant stuff. Luckily the magic barrier prevented me from getting covered in plant stuff.
"*Sigh* I better clean this up before Shinobu comes back."
---------------------------------
After a few hours, I heard a couple of footsteps coming toward the room and the door slammed open.
