Otherworldly Desert Dust

Chapter 221 Human Circle

...

In the dark space domain, a Metal Rock Ark was accelerating.

In the distance, a towering red mountain range seemed to be heading straight towards the Metal Rock Ark.

Only when it approached did the people on the ark realize it was an enormous Red Tide!

"Cross over it, and we have won!" shouted a commander from within the ark, "Full speed ahead!"

On both sides of the Metal Rock Ark, propulsion wings extended, and fierce flames burst out instantly from the sides of the massive ark!

In the black space domain, the ark left a dazzling trail of flames, shooting across the sky like a comet!

The colossal Red Tide approached, boundless and vast, and the giant ark seemed like a tiny sailboat roaring in the ferocious sea…

The ark had three levels, each made of Rock Steel structure, divided into hundreds of habitat spaces similar to sports stadiums inside, complete with streets, shopping malls, office buildings, parks, and small ecologies...

As the Red Tide struck, the inside of the ark churned like a washing machine, streets and parks tangled together, malls collided with small forests; even though the citizens of the Hao Clan's Ark had mentally prepared and implemented various safety measures, they were still utterly devastated by the terrifying power of the Red Tide!

Even for a civilization's ark, under the laws of the otherworldly, there was no difference from a tiny sandbox world!

Inside the ark, chaos reigned.

It was indistinguishable from a disaster, and casualties were inevitable.

The habitat spaces now looked like they had been hit by a disaster, with children crying, elders helpless, adults rushing about to rescue...

Fortunately, the Crystal Energy wasn't destroyed; as long as there was Crystal Energy, many devices on the Hao Clan's Ark would operate automatically, similar to sewage purification. Their city would slowly recover and get back on track eventually, as the initial design of these spaces resembled a certain program.

"We've escaped successfully!"

"We've finally left Red Port!!"

"It won't be long before we can find our clan members, hahaha!"

It was tragic, yet worth celebrating.

The most important thing was that escaping Red Port also proved they had achieved a significant breakthrough in Crystal Energy Technology on the Hao Clan's Ark. From now on, their travel speed through the Otherworldly Dust would increase tenfold or more. They could reach any destination just by setting the direction!

At the Hao Clan Ark's commanders' meeting, a hundred people, though they had arisen from chaos, still laughed heartily - some even retrieved their wine glasses to celebrate this feat.

This success was comparable to early humans entering the Age of Exploration; they could navigate to any mysterious sea, any mystical continent, any Immortal Island, exploring the true treasures of this world.

"Chang Huan, you've made significant contributions during this Red Port stop. Without your team's continuous collection of Red Zhe Crystal Stones, this breakthrough in Crystal Energy would have been difficult. We will soon promote you to Deputy Commander; the future of our Hao Clan's Ark will be in the hands of your generation," a long-bearded elder from the Hao Clan said, patting Chang Huan's shoulder.

Chang Huan's face was full of smiles. These years of arduous journeys, competing with other Human Clan Forces in Red Port, had exhausted all his energy.

The position of Deputy Commander was good, but now he just wanted to go home and sleep for three days and nights, preferably in a cryo-chamber. Waking up to find himself in a land of birds and flowers, bathing in beautiful streams, and enjoying exquisite fruits and specially made wine...

"Boom!!!!"

Suddenly, the entire Hao Clan's Ark was struck by an unknown force, and all three ark levels shook violently, comparable to a combination of a super tsunami and an epic earthquake!

"What's happening??"

"Haven't we already left the range of the Red Tide?"

The ark's shell shattered, and huge slabs of cabin fell from above, crushing the habitat spaces and even fully armed Hao Clan soldiers to a pulp.

Chang Huan immediately activated his Crystal Armor device and flew out from a peeling shell plate.

Having exited the ark, Chang Huan was one of the few who could move in this cold, spirit-energy-less space domain.

He needed to know what energy had attacked the Hao Clan's Ark, given that the road ahead was still unknown to them!

"Light Crystal detection!"

Chang Huan threw a Light Crystal towards the pitch-black area in front.

The Light Crystal acted like a flare, dispelling the intense darkness ahead.

In front, a large amount of meteorite black dust had formed an area resembling flowing sand, guarding a central Dust Hole like Elf Guards around a black star, swirling in an extremely strange manner…

"Did we collide with the Red Space's flowing sand?" Chang Huan was surprised, uncertain about the nature of the space sand ahead. Stay connected through My Virtual Library Empire

Just as Chang Huan was about to signal the ark's navigator, suddenly, a pair of terrifying eyes flickered in the center of the space sand. Before he could speak, Chang Huan felt himself engulfed in a world enveloped in icy cold for thousands of years, his body instantly frozen, unable to move!

The next moment, a mysterious Black Holy Spirit emerged from the red space sand.

It was covered entirely in pitch-black Star Iron, its massive Grey Horn grand and wild, its entire shell like a frozen black dead star. Any light reaching this point would instantly vanish, not to mention any life forms...

"What kind of life is this!!"

p>Chang Huan was shocked by what he saw, feeling as though his consciousness was being eroded by this mysterious supreme life form, his mind slowly collapsing as he fully grasped its true nature!

This mysterious life, having Grey Horn, crawled out from the space sand and headed straight for the Hao Clan's Ark!

The Grey Horn, seemingly containing the most terrifying Shock Energy, transformed into an unstoppable force of destruction the moment it touched the Hao Clan's Ark…

The intense shock energy transformed into a smashing wave, transmitted from the front to the midsection of the Hao Clan's Ark, the finely crafted ark that was invisible to the naked eye astonishingly shattered in half like foam!

Tens of thousands of Hao Clan people perished in this massive shock wave!

The Hao Clan's Ark was incredibly sturdy, the pride of their race, a lifeboat of steel that even the top predator of Otherworldly Dust could not match, capable of easily crushing them!

But this time, the Grey Horned Life made the entire Hao Clan's Ark feel what true power was.

The opponent's Grey Horn, not a bit deformed, nor bearing a single mark, yet the grand Hao Clan's Ark was destroyed into wreckage.

It was like an ancient dragon boat smashing into a hard sea cliff, the sea cliff remained unscathed, but the dragon boat was completely broken and shattered.

As the Hao Clan's Ark collapsed, the inhabitants dwelling within it were tossed into the Dark Space Domain like ants, their bodies spinning until they quickly froze into ice blocks.

Numerous yet minute as dust, Chang Huan petrified at the edge of that black quicksand, seeing his own people so humbly annihilated by an unknown force, his heart shattered!

But he could do nothing.

He could only watch the Grey Horned Life with a pair of blood-red, furious eyes!

The Grey Horned Life did not harvest again.

It stood on the edge of the quicksand, like a Cosmic Emperor, cold and merciless, and thoroughly enjoying the spectacle of watching a race's civilization perish under its power!

In the distance, the Red Tide swept over once more.

For hundreds of kilometers around, the debris of the Hao Clan's Ark lay scattered, and within the debris countless people struggled; they were like ants, tragically like ants soaked in seawater, and the most desperate thing was, the deathly Red Tide swept over again!

"Aaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!"

Chang Huan, almost driven to madness, wished that the Grey Horned Life would grant him a swift end.

But the Grey Horned Life did not care at all, it even let Chang Huan float beside it, accompanying it to observe the entire death process of the Hao Clan's Ark!

Finally, the red tide of death swept over…

The tens of thousands of pieces of Ark debris were smashed again, those Hao Clan people clinging to the debris, already freezing their flesh and bones from the cold of Dark Space Domain, as this energy wave hit, their bodies became countless space ice shards!

Debris, flesh shards.

The huge ark, millions of people, really surviving were but a few hundred.

These few hundred, supposedly the strongest of the Hao Clan's Ark, faced the Grey Horned Life just like Chang Huan, unable to move after being watched.

The Grey Horned Life issued a sound, like an ancient horn.

From within that black dust quicksand, Red Zhes climbed out one by one…

To them, the dark space was like a woven invisible giant net, on which these Red Zhes could crawl freely; their armor-covered bodies also enabled them to resist the chill.

They crawled towards the debris and flesh shards, and towards those immobilized Hao Clan powerhouses!

After oblivion, it was a Taotie feast…

Chang Huan's body not only froze stiff, but his consciousness also died utterly.

He had clearly succeeded, so why such an outcome?

"Do you have any grievances against Red Port, why did you escape?" suddenly, the Grey Horned Life demanded.

Chang Huan's nearly frozen eyeballs finally moved slightly, he mustered all his courage to look at this Black Life.

The Black Life, shaped very similar to a unicorn.

But standing there in the vast dark deep space, it was supremely transcendent, as if it were another higher dimensional life form, long detached from the concept of mortal flesh.

"We just wanted to return to our own place," Chang Huan answered weakly.

"I gave you a perfect living environment, provided you with ample life energy," the Grey Horned Life stated authoritatively and coldly,

"To keep you from getting bored, I introduced minerals of your interest for you to seek and fight over. Considering your ease of extinction, I only sent weaker Red Zhes for you to compete and fight…"

"You clearly could have reproduced and lived out your remaining lives in Red Port, why did you escape?"

"If you had just stayed inside the Human Circle, for me to watch and entertain, perhaps one day I would let you return to human earth."

"But…"

"Unauthorized escape, I must annihilate your kind!"

Human Circle??

To treat humans like pets, kept in Red Port???

Chang Huan felt his consciousness being torn apart again by this truth!!

Red Port, it turned out to be a human circle!!
