Chapter 382: One Thing Conquers Another (Seek Subscription)

Pei Yan did not refuse Xia Yu's proposal. He was well aware of this woman's personality; after suffering so many losses, she would not rest until she regained her dignity. Moreover, from their sparring over the past two months, he gained a deep understanding of her abilities and knew she wasn't wrong: her abilities were indeed of the slow-burning type. Once they successfully merged and activated, the opponent would face a bitter experience.

After stopping shooting, Xia Yu was the first to charge forward, while Pei Yan followed twenty meters behind, ready to assist at any moment. Seeing the two of them attacking, Bals lunged forward to sneak attack Xia Yu at close range, continuously engaging her in a level skirmish. Clearly, he had developed a psychological shadow from Pei Yan's powerful firepower attacks.

Bang! Bang! Two crisp sounds echoed as the two black iron rods in Xia Yu's hands struck Bals' arms. Watching this seemingly harmless strike, Bals initially thought it was another weird attack causing internal explosions. However, after exchanging blows a few times and finding no abnormalities in his arms, he sneered, "Is this weak attack meant to shame me?"

With a shout, his figure swelled in anger, and he fiercely clawed at Xia Yu's chest. Observing his motion, Xia Yu quickly retreated while tossing the two iron rods in her hands.

"Hmph, using these as hidden weapons is useless, and your aim is way too poor!" Bals didn't even bother dodging, watching as the two long rods flew past his sides, unable to resist a taunt.

Just as he was about to continue his attack, a strong force suddenly pulled from his left side, halting his forward momentum. Subsequently, his entire left arm was uncontrollably yanked, dragging his half body slanting toward the left.

Only then did he notice that the object pulling him was one of Xia Yu's previously thrown black iron rods. Seeing this, Bals cursed under his breath, realizing those items were indeed odd. Before he could think further and release his palm to strike the black rod away, his right arm was also caught by a similar force.

Twisted by the simultaneous pull of two iron rods from side to side, Bals was suspended in mid-air as if bound by invisible ropes. Despite his efforts to break free, he couldn't muster the strength with his feet off the ground. Helplessly, he tried lifting his palm to utilize a magic array attack to destroy the rods, but Xia Yu had already closed the distance.

Watching Xia Yu leap high and strike a fist aimed at his head, Bals screamed inwardly, knowing he couldn't afford to take this punch. The stance suggested the punch carried the same force that previously blew open his belly. Having already used the Blood Fusion Technique repeatedly, he couldn't withstand much more critical damage like this.

Reluctantly, needing to sacrifice something to preserve himself, he let out a howl, and streams of blood sprayed from his severed arms, choosing to self-amputate to avoid the attack!

Ignoring the diverted severed arms pulled away by the iron rods, Xia Yu didn't stop after Bals dodged her punch. Her hands spread as the two iron rods were summoned back, flying into her hands. Gripping the rods, Xia Yu charged forward, swinging them at Bals' vital areas.

Knowing the peculiarity of the two rods, Bals no longer dared to let Xia Yu's attacks touch his body directly. Weaving left and right, streams of blood rapidly flowed from his wounds, reconstructing his arms.

Boom! Boom! Boom! A series of blasts detonated beside Bals' body. "Damn it! Do you have no shame!" Facing the continuous attacks restraining his movement by Pei Yan from above, Bals roared skyward in outrage.

"Isn't your guy also fighting two of us?"

A voice sounded behind Bals, and upon hearing this, he was terrified, realizing there was a third person present! He hadn't noticed at all!

With no time to think, in a flash, Bals swung his newly regenerated but still stiff arms backward. Yet waiting for him was a tangled mass of sticky black eels.

His forceful swing seemed to fall onto a pile of cotton. Though many eels were struck away, more followed to swarm his arms, the pungent fishy odor and the cold writhing texture on his arms left him momentarily stunned, cursing, "What the hell is this!"

"Ah! Ah!" Just as the curses left his mouth, screams followed. While off-guard, Xia Yu approached and firmly struck both of his legs with the iron rods, then flung them aside, immediately causing his legs to be pulled apart.

With all limbs controlled, Bals became a sitting duck, with relentless agony simultaneously radiating from his chest and head, attacks jointly unleashed by Xia Yu and Pei Yan.

As Bals' bodied with holes in its head and torso once again turned into a pile of pus that flowed to the ground, Pei Yan loudly cautioned, "Everyone be careful, he's going to use that blood regeneration technique again."

"Don't worry, leave it to me!" Zhao Yuanhu, who had healed and rejoined the battle with a successful sneak attack, smiled reassuringly upon hearing Pei Yan's words.

With that, she swung her arms, releasing countless eels from her body, quickly covering the ground. Like sharks driven mad by the scent of blood, they rolled over the blood-stained ice surface, voraciously absorbing every shred of flesh.

"Ah! Ah! Ah! What is this thing, take them away! I surrender! I surrender! Please take them away!" A shadow rose from the eel mass, but quickly dissipated, repeatedly trying to reform but only to be pressed back down by the mass of eels. After several failed attempts, Bals finally gave up, his desperate plea emanating from under the swarm.

Standing together, Pei Yan and Xia Yu glanced at each other, then looked at the constantly wailing Bals, finally setting their gaze on Zhao Yuanhu.

The attention of the two made Zhao Yuanhu feel slightly uneasy. Tossing her hair aside, she asked puzzledly, "Is there a problem? Should I kill him?"

Pei Yan shook his head, looking at Bals' current pathetic appearance, and recalling his previous arrogance when regenerating, he muttered to himself, "Truly, the old saying 'a tough shell needs a tough hammer' holds true."

Beside him, Xia Yu nodded in deep agreement, after which Pei Yan turned to Zhao Yuanhu and said, "Don't kill him. This person holds too many secrets. Weakening him to a certain degree, capture him alive!"

"Understood!"

A moment later, Zhao Yuanhu, feeling the timing was right, retracted the eels she had released. As the dark eels withdrew like a tide, a grotesque scene unfolded before them.

The thing left on the ground could no longer be considered human; it was a creature with no skin, held together by masses of blood vessels, barely resembling a humanoid form connecting its head to its torso.
