Chapter 334 Revenge (Seeking Subscription)

Ignoring the shock he repeatedly gave to Pei Yan, Lin Junzhao stood up and squatted in front of Mr. Mu. She poked the man, who resembled a dead pig, with her finger. Seeing no reaction, she returned to her seat and beckoned to him on the ground.

"Ahhhhh!" A pitiful scream burst from Mu's mouth. Pei Yan squinted his eyes to clearly see, at such a close distance, that Mu's arm was bent at an angle impossible for an ordinary person. Under Lin Junzhao's finger movements, the arm was violently bent back and forth in mid-air, until the joints broke, and the protruding bones pierced the flesh, yet she did not stop.

Pei Yan was no stranger to such scenes; many times, he was the one carrying them out. Recalling how Mu had folded and squeezed the Origin Maiden like an object into a laughing, sealed box, Pei Yan somewhat understood Lin Junzhao's actions at this moment.

"Ahhhhh!" Another scream followed. After breaking Mu's right arm, Lin Junzhao began torturing his left arm, then both legs. As the torment escalated, those in the investigation hall, although on opposing terms with Mu, some still couldn't bear it and turned away. In the end, Mu's voice was hoarse, his limbs crippled, body covered in injuries, chest heaving unevenly, and he lay on the ground trembling like a worm.

After all this, Lin Junzhao looked sideways at Pei Yan, who remained calm. A look of surprise surfaced on her face, and she teased, "Not bad, you seem rather accustomed to this. I thought you would cry like you did when you were little."

In response to the teasing, Pei Yan's mouth twitched slightly as he gave an awkward smile. Lin Junzhao turned back to look at Mr. Mu on the ground, gently waving her finger to lift him off the ground. With all his limbs broken, his hands and feet hung feebly, allowing Lin Junzhao to fold them together.

"At first, I thought you had a decent position in the Divine Desire, but when I injected the Origin into you just now, I discovered you were just a poor replica of someone else's abilities. Who tampered with this, Mu Fanchen or Nine-Headed Candle Yin?"

Upon hearing a new name from Lin Junzhao, Pei Yan instinctively glanced at Gu Shenghui beside him. Seeing Gu Shenghui shake his head towards him, it appeared it was also his first time hearing the name.

Nine-Headed Candle Yin? A creature from Chinese mythology, but does such a magical creature truly exist in the world, or is it a person's name or code?

Pei Yan pondered, based on everything he had seen. If he were now told the Candle Dragon exists, it wouldn't surprise him.

"Kill me then, I won't speak." After spitting out two mouthfuls of blood, Mu strained to lift his head and stared at Lin Junzhao with a nonchalant look, speaking disdainfully.

"I never intended to kill you from the start, but now I am quite interested in your technique of duplicating others' abilities like a clone. Is it a result of the research from my body?" Lin Junzhao said, deliberately or inadvertently glancing at Pei Jin beside her.

Silence. Only silence responded to her. Mu buried his head in his chest, unwilling to say another word.

Lin Junzhao did not seem too angry or intend to continue interrogating. Instead, she waved her hand, and vines rose from the ground in front of her. They wove together in the air, forming a wooden box the same size as the seal box she had been trapped in before.

Lin Junzhao began to control the folded Mu into the box, but even with his limbs broken, Mu's figure was much larger than a maiden's. After a few failed attempts to fit him inside, the slightly annoyed Lin Junzhao simply chopped off Mu's arms and legs. The spurting blood dyed the ground under Pei Yan's feet a dark color.

Looking at the blood-soaked box, imagining a man tortured and limbless stuffed inside, Pei Yan started feeling that his previous so-called revenge methods were child's play compared to this woman's.

"Remember to tell your master when you return, I will find him. When I do, what happened to you today will be his fate tomorrow." Lin Junzhao said through the wooden box, then picked up the Temporary Teleportation Array Plate tossed away, activated it, and casually threw the box inside after the light appeared.

After the light dissipated, Lin Junzhao walked straight to the pool, bent over, and washed the bloodstains from her hands in the clear water. She then turned around slowly and looked at the remaining living people present, clapped her hands, and smiled, "Alright, with Divine Desire matters settled, it's time to talk about you all."

Upon hearing this and connecting it to the woman's previous actions, everyone in the investigation hall stood with hair on end, heightening their vigilance and gearing up to fight. Seeing this, Lin Junzhao laughed heartily, waving her hands, "Don't be so tense. There's no vendetta between us. In some ways, my escape is thanks to your help. As long as you don't provoke me, I won't do anything to you. After all, I'm not a demon!" After speaking, she even puckered her lips, appearing somewhat wronged.

Seeing the innocent appearance of the girl in front, seemingly naive, no one dared to take her words seriously. Who knew when this living King Yan might turn hostile, the type to kill with a glance.

"Uh, Origin..." After hesitating for a long time, Gu Shenghui stepped forward to break the ice and spoke.

"I have a name, call me Lin Junzhao. Referring to me as Origin is very impolite. This is your last warning, if you say it again, I'll be angry."

Interrupted and reprimanded by Lin Junzhao, Gu Shenghui immediately corrected his mistake and continued, "Alright, Miss Lin, our investigation hall would like to...."

"I refuse!"

Before he could finish, Gu Shenghui was interrupted again, stunned, and lowered his head in embarrassment before looking up to continue, "But I haven't said anything yet!"

"No matter what you say, I refuse. I won't go back to the investigation hall with you, nor will I accept your surveillance, and I won't be used by you."

Saying this, Lin Junzhao tilted her head, and for the first time, a proud demeanor surfaced in her previously playful eyes as she looked around the room and arrogantly said, "In the end, do you even know what significance I hold for you all? What is our relationship?"

Upon hearing this, except for Pei Jin and Su Xiang, everyone, including Pei Yan, looked at each other in confusion. Pei Yan glanced at his sister and, recalling the two conversations with the Origin entity, vaguely guessed something and lowered his head in thought.

"Truly, ignorance is bliss!" Lin Junzhao said, smiling bitterly, shaking her head, and then leapt back to her seat, reaching out to hold Pei Jin's wrist, gently caressing it as she slowly closed her eyes.
