Otaku Witch

Chapter 671: Summoning Across Time

Although Miss Divine Witch, as the envoy of the Eastern Sages, had personally confirmed Dorothy's identity as the New Saint, the homebody witch herself was quite puzzled.

She always thought of herself as just a somewhat clever, ordinary transmigrator, and such transmigrators were not uncommon in the Witch World, let alone in the entire universe.

But the Saint is different. Saints are omniscient and omnipotent, supreme and lofty, a great existence that can do anything and be everywhere.

During this period, Dorothy often looked at herself in the mirror, but every time, all she could see was, "As expected, I am really good-looking," and nothing more.

Hmm, doesn't this sudden proclamation of her as the New Saint feel a bit too predetermined?

The homebody witch couldn't help but recall jokes from her past life like, "I am the First Emperor, give me fifty, and I'll give you an army of a hundred thousand and appoint you as Great General," only this time it wasn't she who demanded money for crazy Thursday, but rather others who proactively came with a hundred thousand troops to bow to her.

Who wouldn't be dumbfounded by such an absurd situation? How could anyone easily accept such a setting?

However, regardless of whether Dorothy could accept it or not, the facts remained unchanged. During this time, she indeed discovered her absurdly high perception of Immortal Law.

The Witch of the Forest is already quite a legendary Spell Master in the Witch World. Those slightly superstitious, almost fanatic, witch fans would often say that their idol had the potential of The Third King, but even the most extreme fans would only dare praise to this extent. After all, claiming to surpass The Third King is not something even deranged people dare to spout casually.

After all, exaggeration must come with basic guidelines, and if you blow your own trumpet too much and it bursts, you'll become a clown.

However, as the true Witch of the Forest, Dorothy actually thought that The Third King was not that big of a deal. She wasn't sure about others, but when compared to herself, her good sister's perception was only on par, a fifty-fifty level.

This was with the body connection enhancement from the Witch's Night, a good sister. If it were really that historical good sister from the pioneering startup period without the enhancement, then no exaggeration or modesty, Dorothy thought that perhaps her good sister would have to call her Teacher Dorothy.

Speaking of which, it seemed that in the Magic Potion basement in the Witch's Night dungeon, there were quite a few magical manuscripts, many of which appeared simple but vaguely hinted at the embryonic form of the Eight Methods of the God King.

Dorothy had reason to suspect that it was her previous self in the parallel timeline whose legacy her good sister tearfully collected, otherwise, how could a shepherdess with no knowledge of mysticism better utilize that original magic power?

Thus, the homebody witch's terrifying inspiration and perception for magic were already evident, but she found her perception for the Immortal Law was several times that for magic.

To learn at once is nothing; to master at once is trivial. To innovate after mastery is simple. For Immortal Law, Dorothy saw not the Heavenly Book of Immortal Law, but directly traced back to the source of the truth. Others might think she looked at the Heavenly Book of Immortal Law, but no, she boldly lifted the skirt of the great Dao, unabashedly observing its essence, even though for the Sages, it remains faintly concealed like a pipa half-covered.

And even though the Eastern Sages are regarded as omniscient and omnipotent, the truth they hold dominion over is merely the many Heavenly Dao manifestations of the great Dao.

Before the heavens and earth were opened, in a primordial chaos where all things were mixed, it was Taiyi.

Taiyi means the primordial Qi when heaven and earth were undivided and chaotic.

The Dao, therefore, is the utmost refinement, unnamed and unformed, named only by compulsion, called Taiyi.

In truth, the name Taiyi is the name of the great Dao.

Tai means great; Yi means Dao; Taiyi is the greatest Dao.

Before all things, there was first the great Dao. Then the heavens and the earth opened, thus playing out the universe, and with the opening of the heavens and earth, came the Heavenly Dao that represents the operation of the world.

The Heavenly Dao contains the truth of the operation of all things within the world universe, so holding dominion over the Heavenly Dao signifies an omniscient and omnipotent existence, but beyond that Heavenly Dao, there lies the great Dao......

The Dao that can be told is not the eternal Dao; the name that can be named is not the eternal name. The unnamable is the beginning of heaven and earth; the namable is the mother of all things.

The Heavenly Dao is a specific Dao, a tangible Dao, a perceivable thing, but it is not the "eternal Dao" nor the "eternal name."

The true Dao is the everlasting Dao, existing within human comprehension, within all things, but shapeless and formless, colorless and tasteless, boundless and limitless, omnipresent, omnipotent, without beginning or end.

Thus, the great Dao is nameless.

It is the concept of existence and non-existence.

Due to the great Dao, the world exists, and the Heavenly Dao, Earthly Dao, and Human's Path, these specific Dao, gain the significance of existence.

Should the great Dao vanish, the universe and world would lose meaning, returning to nothingness.

Therefore, Taiyi is the foundation of the world, Taiyi is the supreme of all things.

......

Dorothy hadn't been inheriting the Heavenly Book for long, and besides the Chapter of the Divine Eastern Lord personally veiled by Amaterasu Life Kikyo for her, she hadn't even taken a closer look at the other parts.

Yet actually, there's no longer a need to look closely.

At times, it is humans who pursue knowledge; the ignorant long for knowledge, wanting to arm themselves with the power of knowledge, hoping one day to reach the Omniscient Realm. This is the philosophy of the witch sages on the Path of Omniscience.

But how can the innate Taiyi be such an inconvenient thing?
