Chapter 17: The Observer's report
The Observer's Report
The recorder sat inside a dimly lit chamber, fingers hovering over the console. The glow from the holographic screen illuminated his face, reflecting in his weary eyes. He had seen much, more than he cared to remember, but it was his duty to document everything.
With a deep breath, he began typing his report.

Transmission Log: 01-07
Recipient: Central Command, Velica
Subject: Intruders on Mersia
"This is Recorder-72, reporting from the surface of Mersia. The situation is escalating. The foreign invaders have made significant progress in securing their position. They have gathered survivors and are reinforcing their defenses. If left unchecked, they could become a considerable threat.
However, local resistance remains strong. The settlers of Mersia, though ill-equipped, have shown remarkable resilience. Skirmishes have taken place, with the latest one resulting in a temporary retreat of our forces. Despite their lack of firearms, they continue to strike with crude weapons and guerrilla tactics.
A major concern is the looming activation of the Cybernetic Titan. Though slow, he possesses an immense amount of endurance and strength. He is a formidable warrior, once a leader of Mersia's defense, now twisted by technology. The first power core remains embedded in his chest, fueling his strength. If he awakens, the battlefield will shift dramatically.Additionally, reports indicate that the remaining power cores have scattered across multiple planets within Ilios. Their exact locations remain unknown, but early signals suggest their presence on at least three celestial bodies. If the invaders seek them, their campaign will not end on Mersia.
Awaiting further orders."

The recorder leaned back, exhaling slowly. The fate of this war was not his to decide. He was merely the observer, the one who ensured the truth reached those who wielded power.
With a final keystroke, he sent the message into the vastness of space.
