Orbis Forlorn: A Dark GameLit Sci-Fantasy Progression Story

Thank you for reading Orbis Forlorn. This was my first attempt at writing fiction, and I never expected it to reach Rising Stars. I'm grateful to everyone who joined me on this journey.

Toward the end, health issues disrupted my schedule and affected the quality of the chapters. After some hard discussions, I decided to put Orbis on hiatus. My goal is to grow into a professional writer, and that means focusing on new projects.

The first will launch on September 1st:

Guns, Ghouls & Ironwood — a military science-fantasy empire-builder LitRPG with necromancy, undead armies, technological progress, and chemical warfare.
Two other projects are in the works, including Accidental Chief Xenocide Officer: To Boldly Go, a mix of Terra Invicta and Dungeon Crawler Carl. As well as one of several, as of yet undecided project ideas.

As for Orbis Forlorn: I still love the setting and story threads. The plan is to return to it in 2026, finish the Abolitionist Mage Children Arc, and then release Orbis Forlorn as a fully self-contained trilogy. If that goes well, there may be more books in the future. For now, I need to focus on building one successful project that can sustain my writing career—then I'll have the freedom to return to passion projects like Orbis.

Guns, Ghouls & Ironwood already has over 150,000 words written—more than Orbis—and I've grown a lot as a writer since starting this journey. I hope you'll join me there, and in the stories still to come.
