OPM in Dragon Ball OG

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: A Wild Chase and Yamcha’s Ambush

The dense jungle opened into a vast desert as the car roared forward, leaving a trail of dust in its wake. The scorching sun beat down on the group, with Goku riding the Flying Nimbus high above, Oolong grumbling in the backseat, and Saitama staring lazily out of the window.

"I hate deserts," Oolong muttered, wiping the sweat from his brow. "It's too hot, and there's sand everywhere!"

"Quit complaining," Bulma said, adjusting her sunhat. "We're making good progress, and the radar says the next Dragon Ball isn't too far."

"How can you be so optimistic in this heat?" Oolong asked.

"Because I'm not a cowardly shape-shifting pig," Bulma shot back.

Goku, floating down on the Nimbus, shouted, "Hey, I see something up ahead! It looks like a house!"

"A house in the middle of the desert?" Saitama asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Could be someone with water!" Bulma said, perking up.

The car came to a stop near a small, dome-shaped building. It looked abandoned, with cracked walls and a broken door hanging off its hinges.

"Are you sure anyone's living here?" Oolong asked skeptically.

"Only one way to find out," Bulma said, stepping out of the car.

As the group approached the house, Goku pushed open the door, revealing a dusty interior. There was a table, a few chairs, and scattered belongings, but no sign of life.

"No one's home," Goku said, disappointed.

"Great, a waste of time," Oolong groaned.

"Wait," Saitama said, glancing around. "Someone's been here recently. The sand outside wasn't disturbed until we arrived."

Bulma blinked. "How can you tell?"

"Hero instincts," Saitama replied nonchalantly.

Suddenly, a loud crash echoed from outside. The group rushed out to find their car surrounded by a pack of wolves, their sharp teeth glinting in the sunlight.

"Oh no!" Bulma screamed. "They're going to wreck my car!"

"I'll handle this!" Goku said, leaping into action.

The Fight Begins

Goku charged at the wolves with his Power Pole in hand, twirling it expertly. The first wolf lunged at him, snapping its jaws, but Goku sidestepped and smacked it with the pole, sending it flying.

Another wolf pounced from behind, but Goku spun around and delivered a swift kick, knocking it into the sand.

"Wow, he's really good," Oolong said, impressed.

"Of course he is," Bulma said, though she was still hiding behind Saitama.

The remaining wolves hesitated, growling as they circled Goku. One particularly large wolf, clearly the alpha, snarled and leapt at him.

"Not so fast!" Goku shouted, extending his Power Pole. "Power Pole, extend!"

The pole shot forward, striking the alpha in midair and sending it crashing to the ground. The other wolves whimpered and retreated, dragging the unconscious alpha with them.

"Wow, that was fun!" Goku said, beaming.

"Fun? Those wolves could've eaten us!" Bulma said, her hands on her hips.

"Not with me around," Goku replied confidently.

Saitama, who had been watching silently, shrugged. "Could've taken them out faster, but good job."

Goku grinned. "Thanks!"

The Desert Bandit Appears

The group was about to head back to the car when the ground rumbled beneath them.

"Uh-oh," Oolong said, looking around nervously.

A figure leapt onto a nearby rock, striking a dramatic pose. He was tall, muscular, and carried a sword at his side. A small floating creature with a cat-like appearance hovered beside him.

"I am Yamcha, the desert bandit!" the man declared, pointing his sword at them. "And this is my partner, Puar!"

"That's right!" Puar chimed in, his high-pitched voice cheerful yet menacing.

"And if you value your lives," Yamcha continued, "you'll hand over all your valuables!"

"Oh great, a thief," Bulma muttered, rolling her eyes.

"I'm no ordinary thief!" Yamcha said, leaping down to face them. "I'm the greatest warrior in this desert!"

"You look more like a wannabe," Saitama said, his deadpan tone cutting through Yamcha's bravado.

Yamcha scowled. "Big words for a guy with no weapon! Let's see if you can back them up!"

Puar floated beside him, looking nervous. "Uh, Yamcha, maybe we should reconsider—"

"Quiet, Puar! I've got this!"

Yamcha unsheathed his sword and charged at Saitama, his movements swift and precise. Saitama stood motionless, his bored expression unchanged.

"Take this!" Yamcha shouted, swinging his blade.

Saitama raised a single finger, effortlessly blocking the strike.

"What?!" Yamcha exclaimed, pulling back and launching a flurry of attacks. Each strike was blocked or dodged with ease.

"You're wasting your energy," Saitama said, yawning.

Enraged, Yamcha leapt into the air, preparing his signature Wolf Fang Fist technique. "Wolf Fang Fist!"

He descended like a comet, his fists striking with incredible speed and ferocity. But when the dust cleared, Saitama was still standing, completely unharmed.

"Done yet?" Saitama asked, flicking Yamcha's forehead.

The force sent Yamcha flying backward, crashing into a nearby rock. He groaned, struggling to stand.

"Yamcha!" Puar cried, rushing to his side.

"Who… who are you?" Yamcha asked, staring at Saitama in disbelief.

"I'm just a guy who's a hero for fun," Saitama replied.

The Aftermath

Realizing he was no match for Saitama, Yamcha raised his hands in surrender. "Okay, okay, I give up! Please don't hurt me anymore!"

"You're lucky he went easy on you," Bulma said, stepping out from behind Saitama.

"You should stop robbing people," Goku added.

"I will! I swear!" Yamcha said quickly.

Puar floated nervously beside him. "Yamcha, maybe we should apologize."

"Fine," Yamcha muttered. "I'm sorry."

After some coaxing, Yamcha agreed to help the group navigate the desert in exchange for being spared.

"Just don't try anything funny," Bulma warned.

"I wouldn't dare," Yamcha said, glancing nervously at Saitama.

As the group continued their journey, the sun began to set, painting the desert in hues of orange and red. Yamcha and Puar followed at a cautious distance, their bravado thoroughly deflated.

"So… you're really strong, huh?" Goku asked, walking beside Saitama.

"Guess so," Saitama replied.

"You're amazing!" Goku said, his eyes sparkling.

Saitama shrugged. "I just do what I can."

With the Dragon Balls still ahead and new allies joining their journey, the adventure was only beginning.
