Chapter 78 - The True Sky
The four-dimensional battleship only shows one side in three-dimensional space, and likewise, its cannons only appear as one in three dimensions. So, when Wu Ge ordered to fire, the additional three hundred and sixty-four electromagnetic pulse cannons in four-dimensional space also lit up with electric lights.
Three hundred and sixty-five beams of light brightened the void, instilling a sense of danger in everyone. Controlling these cannons wasn’t Wu Ge’s will but the collective will of all martians. At this moment, their collective will could manipulate this four-dimensional battleship, which lacked even a single Enlightenment realm individual.
At this moment, Wu Ge understood his next direction in cultivation.
He realized that every person harbors numerous facets within themselves, differing across situations. This implies that inside everyone hides countless ‘selves’ of varying personalities and memories, adapting with the changing environment by donning appropriate ‘masks’.
This represents the fragmented nature of humanity and society, yet at this moment, the entire society unified, their wills merging into a formidable force, activating a four-dimensional battleship that lacked any Enlightenment realm individual, even firing three hundred and sixty-five electromagnetic pulse cannons.
Wu Ge understood his next step: to unite the myriad ‘selves’ within him into a singular force, embodying the ultimate unity of ‘all into one’.
But for now, his priority was breaking through the immediate barrier.
In four-dimensional space, lines are not straight, and directions can change, making it challenging for even Enlightenment realm experts to target enemies with a single electromagnetic pulse cannon, let alone Wu Ge controlling three hundred and sixty-five of them.
However, at this moment, all three hundred and sixty-five cannons fired, accurately hitting the three-dimensional world, targeting the tall, thick wall.
Only one cannon was visible, but three hundred and sixty-five electromagnetic cannonballs were launched, striking the wall forcefully.
“Boom!”
A massive explosion followed, shaking the habitat, causing the living creature it was built on to cry out in pain.
The administrator yelled, “Do you want to destroy this home?”
Everyone shouted, “We want to see the real sky!”
The administrator on the flying vehicle screamed, “That’s a lie, leaving here means death!”
But no one wavered. The crowd, all wearing masks and unified in their resolve, marched forward, breaching the wall damaged by the electromagnetic pulse.
As they entered the third layer, the capitalists yelled, “Stop, you have no right to be here.”
But these capitalists, aside from throwing money at the martians, had no way to stop this unarmed army.
The people continued forward, overcoming all barriers until they reached the second layer, where the nobles threatened, “Stop, or we will order our private soldiers to shoot!”
But the determined march continued, with Kachi leading firmly at the front, unstoppable.
Seeing their forces overwhelmed, the nobles collapsed in fear, their soldiers laying down their arms to join the masses.
The army moved relentlessly, their steps shaking the nobles’ estates to the ground, signaling the end of the old societal structure.
Finally, they reached the first layer, the secretive managerial level. The administrator watched coldly from his flying vehicle, declaring, “Only machines loyal to me are here; you cannot advance further.”
But as he spoke, countless cannons and mechanical guards aimed at the crowd appeared.
Yet, this determined army, made up entirely of martians, didn’t halt. They faced mechanical killers, programmed to obey only the administrator. Advancing meant certain death, but no one retreated.
This was a bloodless revolution, a fight without gunfire, powered by sheer will.
“Zap!”
Under the united will of countless individuals, the machines malfunctioned, sweeping the first layer with a powerful wave of psychic energy, crashing systems and causing the administrator’s vehicle to plummet.
Kachi entered the control room and commanded the creature below, “Rise, all the way up, until we breach the surface!”
The administrator screamed, “Stop! You’re heading towards your own destruction!”
No one heeded him. Without his robots, the administrator was merely an elderly man.
The creature turned upwards, its digging appendages tirelessly breaking through the rocks above. It ascended relentlessly.
It kept digging, the surrounding temperature dropping while the air grew increasingly arid.
The creature grew frightened, lowly moaning. Kachi consoled it, saying, “Once, we too lived upon that vast land. At some point, we fled underground. If we continue to flee, when will we ever see the real sky?”
Even if lacking intelligence, the creature seemed to truly understand Kachi’s words and began to dig desperately, rising continuously.
Three thousand meters, five thousand meters, seven thousand meters, ten thousand meters!
It finally broke through the surface!
Suddenly, the world expanded vastly before them. All martians were stunned by the sight transmitted by the creature. They gazed at the endless starry sky, the boundless land.
“Is this the sky?”
Everyone murmured to themselves.
“It’s so beautiful!”
Someone exclaimed uncontrollably.
After countless millennia, martians had returned to the surface to witness this world.
But then, the creature began convulsing as a storm swept across the Mars surface. The arid conditions caused it unbearable suffering; it was close to death!
The administrator laughed, “Are you satisfied now?”
However, at that moment, numerous warships fell from the sky. A particle shower descended, forming a protective particle shield around the creature. Oxygen was pumped into the shield, and the creature instantly relaxed.
The martians panicked, and even the administrator’s eyes widened in shock, “There really are aliens!”
The landing warships opened their hatches, and mechanical insects and monster races in mobile armor stepped out, surrounding the shield and then kneeling towards a red and blue warship. Then, that warship opened its hatch, and a human, wearing no protective gear or power armor, stepped out.
In that moment, although the martians didn’t know what species this person was, they understood that he was their spiritual leader—Wu Ge!
