Chapter 81: Celestial Energy...
Hearing her words, Aleron was slightly confused, but he nodded anyway.
Turning to glance at her, he couldn't help but ask curiously, "Where do we stay, and how are we going to increase our strengths?"
The teacher paused for a moment before replying.
"I've heard about your situation from the goddess, and we've decided to assign a single room for you and your pets."
Aleron gave a simple nod in response to her words.
After a brief silence, she continued, "That brings us to your second question. Information about what you're supposed to do here at the Celestial Academy will be revealed later when all the students have arrived. For now, come, let us head to the Celestial Dormitory."
As soon as the instructor finished speaking, she turned around and began walking. Aleron quickly followed behind her.
Upon stepping out of the trial grounds, the dragons that had been resting not far away immediately sensed his presence. They rose, flapping their wings with a low, thunderous beat, and trailed behind the two of them.
After walking for some distance, Aleron and his dragons finally arrived at the location of the dormitory.
It was an enormous dome-like structure, vast and towering. He could see a few students flying overhead, entering the dome through open arches high above.
Others, without the ability to fly, walked lightly along a smooth pathway into the building. Their steps were calm, but Aleron noted they radiated confidence and power.
He studied them for a moment, his gaze thoughtful. These people were far from ordinary.
A frown tugged at his brow as he considered something, then he turned to ask, "Instructor, are these people also ranked in the top one hundred?"
"Yes. This dormitory is exclusively for those ranked in the top one hundred. If you wish to increase your rank, you may choose to challenge someone of a higher level."
After she finished speaking, Aleron turned toward her again, his brows drawn.
"Is there a way to know my particular level? Also, are there any benefits to achieving a higher level?"
Hearing his words filled with curiosity, the instructor chuckled softly for a moment. Then, restraining her amusement, she answered.
"Of course, there are benefits to having a higher rank. Everything will be revealed during the briefing later today. As for knowing your current level, just be patient. A device will be handed to you and the others in due time."
Aleron frowned slightly, not liking how vague everything seemed. So far, he hadn't sensed any danger, which was a relief.
With no further questions, Aleron silently followed behind the instructor as she led him deeper into the dormitory area.
Soon, they arrived at a large room that seemed to swirl with a strange, mystical energy.
"This is celestial energy," the instructor explained, pointing to the ethereal, whitish particles floating in the air like glowing motes of dust.
"By absorbing this, you can increase your strength drastically. Although, one's comprehension rate might differ."
"What?" Aleron was stunned, staring at the instructor in disbelief. One could grow stronger simply by absorbing the energy in the air?
Seeing his disbelief, the instructor smiled. She had expected this reaction. Everyone showed it the first time they arrived at the Celestial Academy.
"This is also one of the benefits of having a higher-ranked room. The higher your room's rank, the greater the density of celestial energy it contains, which significantly boosts cultivation."
Aleron's eyes widened at her words. His growth had always been painfully slow, requiring origin experience points that cost one million each. For him to accumulate enough for a breakthrough, the amount needed was astronomical.
If this method truly benefited him, then he had to obtain the first-ranked room. His strength would increase rapidly, and his path to the top of the world would open.
Aleron sank into deep thought as he quietly followed the instructor into the room.
It was spacious, wide enough to house his dragons with ease. The room resembled a vast field, with soft grasses blanketing the ground in thick, lush waves.
There were faint white sprinkles scattered across the floor. They shimmered gently, condensed forms of celestial energy accumulated over time.
Aleron gazed at them with an amused expression.
"This is your room," the instructor said calmly, then added, "You don't need to worry. All the rooms are of equal size, except for the top ten, which are significantly larger and contain much higher densities of celestial energy."
Aleron nodded in understanding. The dragons, still soaring through the air, suddenly swooped down at incredible speed and landed lightly on the grass. Sprinkles of celestial energy clung to their scales, soaking into them.
They too felt the mysterious power emanating from the grasses.
"Wow, Dad, this is truly beneficial. I can feel my strength increasing," a voice echoed in his mind.
"Huh? You can absorb celestial energy too?" Ashkar's voice sounded next, filled with surprise.
"Of course, Dad," Veldora replied, her voice tinged with joy and excitement.
Aleron turned to face the instructor. She smiled knowingly, as if reading his thoughts, then replied with a hint of amusement.
"Yes, your summoned beasts can absorb celestial energy. It is beneficial to all living creatures."
Aleron felt relieved. He had been slightly worried that his dragons' strength would remain stagnant. Now, it seemed his concerns were unnecessary.
"Since there's nothing else, I will take my leave," the instructor said. A sigil appeared beneath her feet, and in the next instant, she vanished into a blur of radiant white light.
Aleron stared at the spot where she had stood, then smiled softly before walking past the glowing grasses, leaving the dragons to bask in the energy.
Just a little ahead, there was a room situated not too far away. Aleron entered and noticed a few objects placed neatly at the corner, though he ignored them for now and walked directly into the heart of the chamber.
The moment he stepped inside, he could feel it. The change in the air was undeniable. The density of celestial energy here was much greater than anywhere else he had encountered so far.
A wave of joy rushed through him. This could be the key to his accelerated growth.
He paused, uncertain of how to absorb the celestial energy properly.
After pondering it for a moment with no clear answer, Aleron finally turned to the system.
"System, how do I absorb celestial energy? Take the required origin energy you need."
There was a brief silence. Then, to Aleron's shock, five hundred origin energy points suddenly vanished from his reserves.
Immediately after, the system responded with a gleaming message in his mind.
