Only I Awaken The Forbidden SSS-Rank Dragons

Chapter 74: Destruction...

After recovering, Aleron patted the dragon gently, ignoring the panicked screams of the crowd. He urged the beast to burn everything down.

His emotions churned like a raging storm. Anger boiled within him, barely kept in check.

The sight of the group of experimental subjects only served to stoke the flames of his fury further, as if their very existence was dragging something primal from deep within his soul.

In the blink of an eye, the entire outskirts of the Genesis Coil branch transformed into a blazing inferno. Fire licked the sky, devouring everything in its path.

Aleron did not hesitate. He moved with the speed of a thunderclap, his figure a blur atop the enormous dragon, heading straight toward the fortified buildings.

As he arrived, he spotted several individuals gazing down at him. Their eyes were cold, their expressions unreadable.

Each of them exuded a heavy pressure, their cultivation clearly at the Origin Adept and Expert realms. Aleron quickly scanned the area but sensed no one above that level.

They, in turn, sensed his cultivation and were briefly taken aback.

A middle-aged man with white gloves stepped forward. His eyes narrowed.

"Young man, are you the one responsible for terrorizing Genesis Coil?" His tone was firm and dismissive as he glared down at Aleron.

"Young master, his beast…" murmured one of the men in a white clinical coat. He pointed toward the dragon, which radiated a terrifying pressure at the Origin Expert level.

"What a magnificent creature. It has been many years since I have seen a beast this size," the man said, clearly shaken, his eyes widening with a mixture of awe and greed.

"They call you the Masked Phantom, do they not?" the young master asked with a sneer. "How about I make you an offer?"

Aleron stood motionless, watching him in silence, waiting.

"Hand over your beast, and I will allow you to leave this place alive," the youth said with a smirk, his eyes brimming with disdain.

Aleron ran his fingers over Ashkar's scales, feeling the creature's familiar warmth radiate into his hand.

"Ashkar, burn them all," he commanded in a calm, almost emotionless voice.

"Yes, Dad," Ashkar replied. Without hesitation, the dragon's maw widened and released a torrent of blazing flames, so intense the air shimmered from the heat. The fire surged toward the twelve figures gathered below.

The young master's eyes narrowed, gleaming with a sudden chill.

"Jab, Gabriel, intercept it," he ordered, clasping his hands behind his back.

At once, two men behind him sprang into action. They moved with supernatural speed, positioning themselves before the wall of fire. With synchronized gestures, a powerful gust of wind surged forward, colliding with the oncoming flames.

A violent explosion erupted. The shockwave rolled across the area with a deafening roar, the clash of fire and wind sending tremors through the surroundings.

Embers scattered like glowing snowflakes, and the edges of nearby structures were scorched, though unharmed due to their fortifications.

Aleron's eyes gleamed coldly, a flicker of amusement touching his lips.

"An Origin Ability. It has been quite some time since I encountered one of those," he muttered to himself, visibly pleased.

Finally, an opportunity to upgrade his own ability had appeared.

To him, the mere wind manipulation those two possessed was insignificant, but their core abilities were still valuable. He could use them to refine and strengthen his metal control Origin Ability.

Still, brute force alone would not be enough. He frowned, analyzing the flow of energy around them. Both defenders were at the Origin Adept realm.

'Veldora. Eliminate them,' Aleron instructed silently.

'Yes, Dad,' came the response. Despite her many complaints about his recklessness, Veldora did not disobey.

She emerged from the clouds above. Her emerald green scales shimmered with a bluish hue that mirrored flowing water. The air shifted as her massive frame came into view.

"What is that?" one of the men gasped, stunned by the sight of a second dragon.

Unlike Ashkar's obsidian scales, Veldora's appearance was fluid and radiant, as if she embodied the ocean itself.

She gave a soft roar. A moment later, a torrent of water burst from her jaws, flooding the area below.

At the same time, the clouds above churned. Rain began to fall in light, rhythmic drops. The pitter-patter sound echoed across the battlefield, soft and almost serene.

"She looks weaker than the fire dragon…" the young man muttered, disappointment in his voice, though his eyes still glittered with desire. He wanted her.

But the very next instant, his expression twisted in horror.

What seemed like harmless rain suddenly turned deadly. Each droplet pierced like a needle, boring through flesh and bone with terrifying ease. Within seconds, two men collapsed, lifeless.

Aleron smiled faintly and gave Ashkar a quick pat.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Ashkar roared.

A second blaze erupted from his maw. The flames surged like a tidal wave, engulfing more of the enemy. Even with their Origin Abilities, three more men fell, incinerated before they could react.

Aleron glanced at his system interface. To his surprise, each of the fallen enemies possessed an Origin Ability.

"These must be high-ranking members of Genesis Coil," he thought aloud, a satisfied smirk forming on his face.

Killing such valuable targets before even leaving the Celestial Academy filled him with pride.

Then he paused. His eyes darted around, scanning the area.

"Where did that youth go?" he muttered.

He had not sensed his death.

"Escaping, are we?" Aleron sneered, activating the Infernal Eyes.

Suddenly, his vision shifted. The world became awash with glowing colors, each representing heat signatures. Nothing within his field of view could hide from him now.

His gaze snapped toward a distant space. A figure was sprinting away, and just as he focused, the figure vanished only to reappear farther ahead.

"A movement ability?" Aleron's interest was piqued. A gleam of excitement danced in his eyes.

'Ashkar, pursue him.'

Ashkar flapped his wings. His figure blurred, then reappeared high above the fleeing figure.

"You!" the young man gasped, caught off guard by Aleron and the dragon's sudden arrival. But he managed to reach for a small box his father had given him.

With a twisted smile, he chuckled madly. "Hehehehe. Die!"

He opened the seal.

The sky turned black.

A monstrous presence began to crawl out.

"What… is that?" Aleron whispered.
