Only I Awaken The Forbidden SSS-Rank Dragons

Chapter 58: Leaving...

Meanwhile, in another space, a mysterious lady with light blue hair and dark silver eyes, who had been lying motionless, slowly opened her eyes. Her gaze drifted toward the surroundings, calm yet faintly curious.

As she looked around, she found herself inside a sleek, metallic spacecraft.

The walls gleamed faintly under strips of soft white light, and the air held the faint scent of polished steel.

Several guards stood at various points along the curved corridor, their armor reflecting the light as they moved about their duties with disciplined precision.

Remaining silent for a while, she closed her eyes briefly, digesting the memories of the clone she had inhabited. A small, knowing smile curved her lips.

"Aleron… how interesting. To think you have become so strong." Her voice was quiet but laced with amusement.

She could still recall the time when Aleron had been nothing more than an experimental subject, one who had failed to form a contract. Even then, she had noticed something strange about him.

After all, every human was born with the innate ability to contract a summon. Not having one was an anomaly of the rarest kind.

Unfortunately, back then she had not paid too much attention to the matter.

Now, remembering the power Aleron had displayed and how he had fused with the dragon, so full of secrets, she felt a sharp, almost predatory urge to reclaim him and uncover everything hidden beneath his calm exterior.

"Unfortunately, I am too occupied at the moment. In due time, I will deal with him," she murmured, her eyes shifting toward the cluster of strange objects floating within a glass containment unit before her.

She exhaled slowly, a sigh that carried both restraint and anticipation.

At that moment, a young man appeared at her side, his presence silent until he spoke in a low tone. "Master, we have discovered it. It lies buried beneath the soil. The origin component is much closer than we expected."

Pushing thoughts of Aleron aside, the woman turned to him and smiled faintly. "Indeed…" She rose to her feet with fluid grace and began walking in the direction the man had indicated.

Aleron stepped forward, placing his palm gently atop the girl's head. "Better," he said softly. "But not enough yet."

Ashkar, his scaled companion, lunged past in a blur. With a single swipe of his powerful tail, he tore the abomination's head from its shoulders.

The grotesque thing toppled, its many eyes already turning glassy and lifeless as Ashkar dropped it at Aleron's feet.

After reporting the kill, Aleron returned to the Silver Hunters and completed the mission formally.

Back home, he allowed himself a brief moment of rest. But his thoughts soon stirred uneasily. He walked toward the mirror in his quarters, drawn by curiosity.

Since arriving in this world, he had never once taken the time to see his own face.

The reflection that stared back left him momentarily still.

He was slightly handsome, his pale skin contrasting against hair as black as midnight. His eyes were darker still, deep irises that seemed to swallow the light, like endless abysses.

Across his face and body ran faint lines of old scars, the quiet testimony of survival.

Aleron raised his fingers to trace the ridges of those scars, his expression tightening.

"The Genesis Coil…" The name slithered into his mind like a curse, cold and unwelcome.

His hand lowered slowly.

"My decision to join the Silver Hunters is slowing everything down. I need to grow stronger—faster." His voice was barely a whisper, but the resolve within it was iron.

Today he had killed only a single abomination. That was nothing compared to the days when he had cut through thousands without pause.

Thrown into this new world and forced to fight from the very beginning, Aleron had adapted quickly to the exhilaration of battle.

After a moment of silent reflection, he reached a conclusion.

There was no reason to remain in the city any longer. His body felt loose, the tension eased from his muscles, and his mind was ready for the next step.

"Now I need to grow stronger and find the remaining dragons."

The memory of the woman from the Genesis Coil surfaced—how she had claimed to be only a clone.

He could not tell if it was true, but his instincts told him it was possible. If so, then he had to be ready for the worst.

Before she appeared again, he needed power great enough to protect himself and those beside him.

Just then, the atmosphere in the room shifted. A cool, refreshing aura drifted in, brushing against his skin like a passing breeze.

Aleron turned toward it with a faint smile.

"Veldora," he called softly.

The dragon approached, her blue eyes shimmering faintly.

"Dad, is something bothering you?" she asked with quiet concern.

Aleron smiled in reassurance. "No, Veldora. Do not worry. Come, let us eat. Tomorrow we will be leaving the city."

He had no intention of informing the Silver Hunters of his departure or explaining his reasons.

Veldora tilted her head, puzzled. "Why are we leaving?"

After a brief hesitation, Aleron answered. "You are not strong enough yet. The world is not as peaceful as it appears. You need the strength to protect yourself." He placed his hand on her head, giving it a gentle pat before heading into the kitchen to prepare their meal.

Fortunately, the house had been fully stocked when they had arrived.

Before long, Aleron and his dragons were eating in the courtyard, the warm evening breeze carrying the faint scent of cooked meat and herbs.

They rested afterward, the stillness of night settling over them, and soon dawn arrived.

The sun's glow crept across the floorboards, brushing Aleron's face with gentle warmth. He opened his eyes, squinting slightly before rising.

Waking Veldora and Ashkar, he led them outside.

Time passed, and they soon left the barrier city.

Before them stretched a vast horde of abominations, their twisted forms shifting and snarling under the pale morning light. A light smile touched Aleron's lips as he surveyed them.

These were all Tier Three and above. This was not a battlefield Veldora could face yet.

"Veldora, let us fuse. Ashkar, you as well," he said in their minds.

This was a way to strengthen her. By fusing with both dragons and hunting the abominations, they could all share the experience gained from the kills.

Ashkar accepted without question. With a powerful flap of his wings, he dove into Aleron, vanishing into a flare of origin energy.

Veldora followed, merging with him in a seamless surge of power.

Aleron had chosen this secluded area for the transformation, far from prying eyes. Once the fusion was complete, he placed a mask he had purchased earlier over his face, its cold surface hiding all expression.

He spread his wings wide and shot into the sky.

A sonic boom rippled through the air as a creature tore across the horizon at breathtaking speed.

Onlookers in the distance stared, their eyes widening.

"What is that thing? Is it an abomination?"

"I doubt it is a demon. If it were, why would it be near the city?"

Murmurs spread, but Aleron paid them no mind.

With repeated beats of his wings, he left the city far behind, diving into the sea of abominations with a single goal.

Raise Veldora to Rank Three.

Then destroy the Genesis Coil's branch.
