Only I Awaken The Forbidden SSS-Rank Dragons

Chapter 42: Completing The Ninth Level!

Aleron was coming up with ways he could learn more information from the Celestial; however, the Corrupted Celestial was not giving him any chances.

Aleron's wings flared, and he shot up to meet the hailstorm.

He weaved between the spears, spinning, flipping, twisting.

A dozen spears detonated behind him, reshaping the battlefield with each impact.

Then came the second Guardian.

It had recovered from the tail strike and now leapt at him from behind, aiming its massive axe at his wing root.

Aleron twisted.

Too slow.

The axe connected.

Blood sprayed as his left wing was nearly severed. He let out a roar of agony but didn't fall.

Instead, he spun and slammed his clawed foot into the Guardian's chest, crushing ribs and driving the creature into the ground.

He followed it, descending like a thunderbolt and crashing both fists onto its head.

Skull cracked.

The Guardian spasmed.

He didn't stop.

He clawed through its face, grabbed the pulsing black core, and crushed it.

Two down.

The Corrupted Celestial's voice echoed from above.

"Impressive, inhuman. But strength alone is meaningless."

It raised both hands.

The sky turned black.

A vortex of divine corruption formed, sucking in origin energy from the surroundings, warping it into a celestial calamity.

A spear formed in the center of the storm—ten meters long, carved with ancient heavenly runes now etched in darkness.

It descended slowly, as if space itself were resisting its fall.

Aleron stared at it.

He knew instinctively—this was death.

He had seconds left in the tower, as he had spent roughly forty seconds so far.

There was not much time left.

He raised both hands, and his origin energy surged.

Waves upon waves of fire spirits emerged into the air around him, bloating the sky.

But Aleron knew this wouldn't do much to change the outcome of the battle.

He roared continuously, tapping into the arcane bloodline within him.

Outside, the world darkened for a split second.

Aleron felt his bones rupture as he absorbed the essence of the stars.

He had never done so before and didn't think it would be this dangerous.

However, the damage had been done to him.

Fortunately, it was worth it.

On the surface of the fire spirits, silvery-white glowing patterns began to surface.

They even became faintly lifelike, radiating a pressure no inferior to one at the Origin Apprentice realm.

Aleron was stunned, but there was not much time to think about it.

Without hesitation, he waved his hand forward, and the fire spirits rushed toward the Corrupted Celestial and its spear attack.

Immediately, a terrifying explosion resounded.

What did the combustion of more than 200 fire spirits look like?

It was truly terrifying, to say the least.

Aleron frowned, staring at the scene.

Although the explosion was terrifying, he doubted it would have killed the Corrupted Celestial.

His guesses were right, as soon a figure lunged toward him from the burning world of fire.

The figure's aura was weakened, but it seemed to contain unprecedented hatred, rushing at Aleron without care.

Aleron was immediately on alert.

This moment would decide if he would complete this level within a minute or not.

In the hands of the creature was a small glowing spear. Aleron didn't think about it too much.

He roared—and the roar echoed with the voice of a true dragon.

A dome of golden-black flame erupted from him.

The spear struck.

The world went white.

A deafening silence followed.

Then—rupture.

The dome shattered.

Aleron was on one knee, bleeding from dozens of wounds. His body was scorched, one horn broken, and scales cracked. But he was alive.

The Celestial descended again.

It was slower now. Its divine form flickered. That final strike had drained it as well.

Aleron rose.

And he smiled.

"Now… we end it."

He activated the Arcane Moon Bloodline and also the Infernal Eyes.

His eyes quickly changed into fiery slits, but they seemed to contain stars within them as well.

Time slowed.

He appeared behind the Celestial.

Clawed fingers pierced into its back.

Then, before it could react, he spun, lifted it overhead, and slammed it headfirst into the earth.

Before it could recover, he drove his palm into its chest and poured pure draconic fire into its heart.

The Celestial screamed.

Light exploded from within its body.

Then—

Silence.

Its body crumbled into dust, slowly disintegrating as its corrupted soul was annihilated.

Aleron stood alone in the wasteland, chest heaving, blood dripping from a hundred cuts.

But he was alive.

And Level 9… was cleared.

A sound echoed.

A slow, steady bell. Nine chimes.

The world around him fractured. The crimson wasteland peeled back.

He stood once more in the center of the trial platform.

Glancing at his white surroundings, Aleron let out a breath of relief.

His system flashed to life.

[Congratulations on killing three forbidden creatures]

[You have gained 50 origin experience]

Aleron read through the line of words once more.

This time, the system didn't call them corrupted creatures, but rather forbidden.

There was no need to think of it. Since Aleron couldn't get the answers he wanted now, in the future he would naturally get the answers he needed.

However, the reward was substantial. Getting 50 origin experience was truly extravagant.

Aleron was overjoyed.

Just then, the panel flashed with a line of words.

[Congratulations on completing the ninth level of the Tower of Heaven.]

[Do you wish to continue?]

[Yes / No]

Aleron didn't hesitate and immediately clicked Yes.

The system shimmered once again.

[Congratulations. You are the first to complete the ninth level within one minute.]

[Your rewards have been increased significantly.]

'Nice, another level completed within a minute,' Aleron was pleased.

As expected of the Father of Dragons.

[Achievement Unlocked: Demon of Destruction]

[Continue completing all levels within a minute to earn greater rewards.]

[Note: Group levels are excluded from this.]

As the message ended, Aleron prepared himself. Then, suddenly, a light descended upon him.

An intense wave of pain surged through his veins.

This time, however, it was more tolerable.

His previous experiences had hardened him.

Still, it hurt.

He clenched his teeth, refusing to cry out.

The pain dragged on for what felt like hours.

Finally, it faded.

This time Aleron could now endure the pain while standing. He took a deep breath, absorbing the feeling of his strength's increase, then turned to his system, ignoring the blue luminescent screen.

[Congratulations. You have received one percent of the Arcane Star Bloodline.]

[Your skills and stats have increased significantly.]

[With this bloodline, you can absorb essence from stars to enhance your abilities and power.]

Aleron read it carefully.

Another one percent.

Now his Arcane Star Bloodline was at nine percent.

Aleron had a guess—that when his bloodline reached ten percent, something unique would happen.

It was a hunch, but Aleron felt his hunch was right.

It had to be. He could feel it.
