Chapter 444: Leviathan, Ten-Star Emperor
The ancient magical beast, Leviathan!
John quickly deduced the creature's identity, realizing that this being had successfully broken through to become a Ten-Star Emperor, thus attracting the Heavenly Tribulation.
"Old man, what do we do now?" Tracy swallowed hard, asking nervously.
The terrifying pressure from the heavens and earth felt like something that no human force could possibly resist.
John furrowed his brow, his expression grim.
If Leviathan were a late-stage Nine-Star powerhouse, with his World-in-Hand, John still felt confident he could take him on.
But if Leviathan was truly a Ten-Star Emperor, he knew he stood no chance.
Sword Demon stared at the massive black silhouette beneath the dark clouds and said, "All we can do now is hope this guy can't withstand the Heavenly Tribulation."
John's eyes lit up. He could feel the tremendous power of the tribulation; even a Ten-Star Emperor would struggle to survive it. There might still be a chance for them.
Boom…
Suddenly, thunder rumbled across the sky. The earth trembled as lightning danced wildly within the clouds, striking relentlessly at the huge black figure.
Crack…
It sounded like the tough scales of Leviathan were breaking apart, black blood splattering across the sky. Painful, enraged roars echoed from the massive serpent.
Underneath the cloud cover, the enormous black figure writhed in agony.
The group huddled at the edge of the cloud, fists clenched, nervously watching everything unfold.
Whoosh!
The howling wind suddenly ceased, and the flashes of lightning faded. Time seemed to freeze, with only the thick clouds above rolling continuously.
Boom!
A deafening explosion followed, shaking the ground beneath them.
Leviathan's enormous body crashed down, sprawled across the desert like a massive mountain range.
"Is it over?" John asked in confusion, but the terrifying pressure hadn't disappeared. Instead, it had become even more concentrated.
Whoosh…
At that moment, the dark clouds began to retreat rapidly—not dissipating, but seeming to condense and focus together.
Boom…
Thunder rumbled once more as a gigantic, hideous face appeared in the sky, its mouth wide open, swallowing all the dark clouds.
John's soul trembled.
"The Heaven!" he exclaimed in shock.
This monstrous face resembled the aura of the Creator God he had encountered before.
But it was even more powerful, controlling the heavens and destroying everything in its path.
Whoosh…
From the mouth of this enormous face, endless clouds swirled, and a blinding beam of light shot out—a final, devastating strike of the Heavenly Tribulation.
"This is bad! Enter World-in-Hand!" John shouted in panic. He could feel the terrifying power of the tribulation; this place was no longer safe. They had no chance of surviving here.
Buzz!
A wave of spatial energy pulsed as John immediately pulled everyone into his World-in-Hand.
Crack!
A tremendous sound filled the air, and the roar of thunder reverberated. John's World-in-Hand trembled violently under the force of the strike.
The terrifying force of the Heavenly Tribulation seemed to have affected the World-in-Hand as well.
Fortunately, the target of the tribulation was Leviathan. Otherwise, even if they had hidden in the World-in-Hand, they would likely have been obliterated.
"What's going on? Why is there the power of the Heavenly Tribulation?" Gaka, startled, asked in surprise as The Tree of Life trembled.
Having been a Ten-Star Emperor himself and having gone through the Heavenly Tribulation, he immediately recognized the aura of the tribulation.
John, still shaken, explained, "It's Leviathan. We've probably found him. He broke through to Ten-Star Emperor and attracted the Heavenly Tribulation."
"What?!" Gaka exclaimed, then quickly understood and said in shock, "I see. That guy wants to use the Heavenly Tribulation to re-establish his World-in-Hand and Devour the Mountains of Immortals!"
"Devour the Mountains of Immortals?" John asked, confused, not understanding what Gaka meant.
Gaka continued, "It's a unique ability of Leviathan: Devour Heaven and Earth. If he succeeds, he will definitely become the most powerful existence among the Ten-Star Emperors. We must stop him!"
John felt a sense of difficulty and said, "Senior, you're overestimating me. I can barely handle a Nine-Star powerhouse, let alone a Ten-Star Emperor."
"No, there's still a chance." Gaka's voice grew serious. "The Heavenly Tribulation is terrifying. Even if Leviathan can withstand it, he will undoubtedly be heavily injured and on the brink of death. This is your only opportunity."
Take advantage of the situation?
John's eyes brightened. He did indeed have that idea.
Gaka suddenly thought of something and cautioned, "Also, make sure not to bring Leviathan into your World-in-Hand. His ability to Devour Heaven and Earth can directly Devour your World-in-Hand."
Devour World-in-Hand?
John was stunned. He had been considering trapping Leviathan inside his World-in-Hand to deal with him.
Thankfully, Gaka had warned him just in time.
John waited quietly for a while. When he felt that everything outside had calmed down, he cautiously opened a small crack in his World-in-Hand to check.
Outside, there was complete silence. The terrifying pressure had completely dissipated.
Only then did John let out a sigh of relief. He focused his thoughts and exited the World-in-Hand.
The others followed closely behind, and they arrived at the spot where they had previously stood. They stared around, dumbfounded.
The ground had sunken deeply, and for thousands of miles around, everything was scorched black. The ground was so hot it was almost unbearable to stand on, and the sand and stones had fused into a crystalline, glass-like substance. The air was thick with the stench of burning.
The most powerful attack John had ever encountered was Yealper's self-detonation, but in the face of this terrifying Heavenly Tribulation, that explosion was nothing more than a drop in the ocean.
"Where's Leviathan? Could he have already died?" Cand-Dragon prayed quietly.
The power of the Heavenly Tribulation was so terrifying that John couldn't imagine how Leviathan could survive such an attack. How strong would he be after withstanding such an onslaught?
Whoosh...
Suddenly, the sound of wind howling filled the air, followed by a deep, heavy breathing.
At the bottom of the massive crater, golden light flickered. Solidified sand and stones tumbled down, revealing a colossal figure that resembled a mountain.
Leviathan!
He had actually withstood the Heavenly Tribulation and ascended to become a Ten-Star Emperor.
"Go!" John shouted angrily, immediately using his divine skill, Heaven and Earth Transformation, transforming into a towering giant.
Even so, his giant form was barely the same size as Leviathan.
John could feel it—the creature's aura was extremely unstable. Although Leviathan had survived the Heavenly Tribulation, he was gravely injured and on the brink of death. This was the only chance to kill him.
"Immortal Sword Formation!" John shouted, and four sharp sword lights shot into the sky, surrounding Leviathan's massive form.
"United Sword Domain!" The sword intent resonated, and countless sword beams flickered.
"Return of Ten Thousand Swords…" John didn't dare hold back. He immediately unleashed his strongest attack. Sword lights flashed, and magical energy surged.
The others followed closely behind, gathering their most powerful attacks and rushing toward Leviathan.
Boom! Boom!
The deafening sound of explosions echoed as Leviathan's massive body was engulfed by an endless barrage of attacks.
"Roar!" A furious roar reverberated through the air. Golden light flashed, and a terrifying aura spread as Leviathan's colossal body writhed in agony.
"A bunch of ants, get lost!" The voice was like a thunderclap, shaking the very ground.
Tracy and the others, who were much weaker, were instantly struck by the shockwave, coughing up blood as they were blasted backward.
The barrage of attacks slowly dissipated, and Leviathan was seen lying on the ground, drenched in blood, gasping for breath. His enormous head, now crowned with sharp horns, had transformed. A single horn had appeared on his forehead, and his abdomen now had four sturdy legs.
He was no longer a serpent but had transformed into a divine dragon.
His enormous, cold eyes glinted with an otherworldly chill, resembling the sun and moon, as they coldly fixed on John and the others.
A wave of icy terror rose in their hearts.
Even a heavily injured Emperor-level powerhouse was not something they could handle.
"Sea God's Trident?" Leviathan's voice was deep, his gaze locking onto Spoorate. "Are you Gaka's people? That old man is still alive?"
John's face turned grave. Clenching his teeth, he charged again.
"Nine Heavens Sword!" he shouted angrily, a sword beam tearing through the sky and slashing downward with immense force.
At the same time, the Four Extermination Swords rose from four different directions, howling as they rushed toward Leviathan.
"Hmph, you're overestimating yourself!" Leviathan sneered disdainfully, his massive body rolling as his enormous tail swept toward them.
Crack!
In an instant, the sword light shattered, and the Four Extermination Swords were sent flying. Leviathan's giant tail swept through the air.
Boom!
John hastily activated Diamond Body Protection, a golden light enveloping his body.
But in the next moment, the golden light shattered, and he felt as though his internal organs had been pulverized.
[You have been instantly killed by Leviathan. Lifesaver talent activated.]
A prompt flashed across his vision. He resurrected on the spot, unable to suppress a cough as blood spilled from his mouth.
He couldn't even withstand a single strike from Leviathan.
"Damn it!" He gritted his teeth, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. A thought passed through his mind, and he summoned The Immortals' Legacy Greatsword.
"Spoorate!" he called out.
Spoorate understood immediately and flew into John's hand, tossing the huge trident to him. "Big brother, Sea God Trident."
John took hold of the sword in one hand and the Sea God Trident in the other. His aura surged.
But even with this boost, it was still nothing compared to Leviathan. The gap was like the distance between a flickering candle and the full moon—insurmountable.
"Strike!" John's battle spirit flared. He gathered all his strength and swung the trident and greatsword down with all his might.
Leviathan narrowed his brow, staring intently at the Immortals' Legacy Greatsword in John's hands. He neither dodged nor avoided.
Boom!
The trident and greatsword struck Leviathan's massive body, and a few scales cracked, blood trickling down.
But to Leviathan, this was just a minor wound, nothing more than a scratch.
"Such a powerful weapon!" He exclaimed in surprise, his gaze burning with interest as he focused on the greatsword in John's hands.
Whoosh!
With a roar, Leviathan's enormous dragon claw shot forward, aiming directly at the greatsword in John's grip.
Not good!
John's face changed slightly, and he quickly warned, "Spoorate, move away!"
Clang!
The hard dragon claw seized the blade, yanking it away from John's hands.
John shielded Spoorate, but pain exploded in his chest. He didn't even realize when Leviathan's claw had pierced through him.
Clutching his chest, he staggered backward, half-kneeling on the ground, his eyes locked on Leviathan.
A feeling of utter helplessness surged in his heart. Against this creature, he had no ability to fight back.
Even the strongest Sea God Trident and Immortals' Legacy Greatsword had only managed to inflict a small wound on Leviathan.
Now, the Immortals' Legacy Greatsword was in Leviathan's possession.
Leviathan toyed with the sword, a satisfied expression crossing his face as he spoke coldly, "Kid, this weapon is mine now. You all can die!"
"Devour the heavens and earth!" He roared, opening his massive jaws wide.
Whoosh!
A ferocious wind howled as an immense pulling force surged toward them.
"This is bad!" John's face shifted as he felt an overwhelming sense of danger. If Leviathan managed to Devour them, there would be no hope for survival.
Thud!
He thrust the Sea God Trident into the ground, grabbing hold of the others and doing everything he could to stabilize his position.

He had a strange feeling that if he activated it, even World-in-Hand would be devoured.
