Chapter 328: The Village of the Guardian, a Magical Formation
Johnnie followed behind the Six-Armed Demon and the Lizardman, waiting until they both jumped into a crack in the ground before he followed.
As he stepped into the crack, a flash of white light filled the air, and suddenly Johnnie found himself falling from the sky.
The Six-Armed Demon and the Lizardman were already gone, and he had no idea where they had gone.
Johnnie immediately called out his Void Sword and used the Fly with the Controlled Sword technique. He flew around, trying to find the two, while also taking a look at this strange new place.
Tall, unique mountains stood before him. What made them special was that they looked like giant stone tablets, covered with trees and home to many birds and animals.
After unlocking his soul ability and improving his mental power, Johnnie's speed using Fly with the Controlled Sword had become extremely fast. Within just a few minutes, he found the Six-Armed Demon and the Lizardman.
They were floating in the air, their power radiating, attacking a small, old village at the base of the mountain.
Energy blasts exploded in the sky, shaking the ground and causing large rocks to fall from the mountain tops.
"Interesting." the Six-Armed Demon said with a bit of interest. "This is the village of The Way of Heaven Divine Stele's guardian? I didn't expect it to have a defensive formation."
He took a deep breath, and suddenly, six different weapons appeared on his back — swords, spears, bows, shields, and more.
Lizardman floated behind the Six-Armed Demon. His eyes flashed with sharp light as he shouted, "Give up! Tell us where The Way of Heaven Divine Stele is, and we'll let you live!"
Inside the old village, a group of people dressed in animal skins, men, women, and children, all looked angry. They held various weapons and shouted together:
"Never!"
These people were very strong. Even the youngest children were at least stage 6. And the young men and strong adults were almost as powerful as The Lesser God.
As for the strongest among them, it was an old man with white hair, holding a staff. He probably was the village leader.
His power was already at the level of The Core God! That kind of strength was among the best in the whole Universe Continent.
But now, they were facing the Six-Armed Demon and the Lizardman. All the elemental attacks they launched had no effect at all — they couldn't even hurt them.
The old village leader, with a face full of wrinkles, took a deep breath. He looked up at the protective formation above the village, which was getting weaker and weaker. He knew it wouldn't last much longer — the enemy would soon destroy it completely.
"I didn't expect that the Lizardman and the Six-Armed Demon, mentioned in the ancestors' records, would really appear." he said seriously, looking around at the villagers.
"Old people and children should leave through the secret path. The others, prepare for a fight to the death!"
No one left after he said that.
Even the kids who looked only seven or eight years old stood still, looking determined. One little boy even held a wooden sword and shouted:
"Village Leader, I won't leave. I want to protect the village and The Way of Heaven Divine Stele too!"
The old man looked happy. He was about to say something when he suddenly looked up at the sky.
Boom!
The protective formation suddenly exploded, turning into small sparks of light and disappearing.
The old man's face changed instantly. He shouted loudly: "Attack together! Form the formation!"
The others quickly moved into position, surrounding the old man in the center.
The old man slammed his staff onto the ground. A strong energy wave spread from under his feet, and his power suddenly shot up — far beyond The Core God level. A terrifying power seemed to come from him.
From the distance, Johnnie watched everything carefully. His eyes narrowed slightly. He felt a familiar power coming from the old man.
That power was the same as the Nine Heavens Tribulation Lightning — it carried a hint of the Power of the Way.
But unlike the Nine Heavens Tribulation Lightning that he had mastered, the Power of the Way in the old village leader was much weaker.
The Six-Armed Demon and the Lizardman didn't notice the Power of the Way at all. They looked very unimpressed. The Six-Armed Demon even laughed coldly and said:
"You people look strong, but you're just weaklings pretending to be tough!"
"Come on, let me taste your strength!"
At that moment, the weapons on the Six-Armed Demon's six arms suddenly moved.
First, an arrow shot out from his bow, moving so fast it reached the old man in an instant.
"Breath of the Wild!" the old man shouted, and a huge wall of thick yellow light appeared in front of him, blocking the arrow.
But the wall broke apart in an instant.
The Six-Armed Demon had already landed on the ground. One of his arms held a long spear, which smashed through the old man's "Breath of the Wild".
Yellow earth pieces flew everywhere. The villagers all turned pale — they hadn't expected the Six-Armed Demon to be so strong.
But then, the old man's staff suddenly gave off an even thicker and heavier yellow light.
In an instant, the flying earth pieces turned into sharp, giant spikes, flying toward the Six-Armed Demon with a loud whoosh!
The Six-Armed Demon quickly raised his shield to block, but there were too many spikes to stop them all.
Plop!
Plop!
Plop!
Several big spikes hit the Six-Armed Demon.

The Six-Armed Demon felt blood flowing from his body. He finally stopped laughing. His face showed a wild look of excitement as he shouted:
"Power of the Way?"
"I didn't expect your attack to have even a little bit of the Power of the Way. It's amazing — you're so small, but you still managed to hurt me."
As he spoke, the wounds on Sadek, the Six-Armed Demon, started to heal quickly.
Although the old village leader had hurt him, the damage wasn't serious. Sadek wasn't afraid of elemental attacks at all. His physical defense was very high, and he had a strong healing ability.
Their strength was far beyond that of normal creatures in the Universe Continent.
That's why Sadek had said before that people from the Universe Continent looked strong, but in real battles, they were actually very weak.
The Lizardman looked serious. He shouted at Sadek:
"Let's attack together. If we destroy The Way of Heaven Divine Stele, our mission will be done!"
Sadek's arm moved quickly behind him and he answered:
"Don't worry. These people aren't a match for me. I'll deal with them quickly."
Hearing this, and seeing that their previous attacks hadn't done much damage, the other villagers began to feel hopeless.
Some older villagers, who were around stage 9, looked at each other and without hesitation, cut their own wrists with weapons.
A thick yellow light came out of the wounds and flowed into the old man's body. Their own energy started to fade, and their faces turned pale.
The old man's staff glowed again, and the light moved to the young people.
The battle was about to begin!
The young people's earth-element attacks actually did some damage to the Six-Armed Demon. It looked like it was because of the formation they were using and the power of the old man's staff.
Johnnie realized how important this was. If he could learn this village's formation, it would not only help him get stronger, but also let the people of Montemar Empire hurt the Lizardman and the Six-Armed Demon.
Now, they had to protect The Way of Heaven Divine Stele and also save the villagers' lives.
Johnnie took a deep breath and started moving. He didn't show himself right away — instead, he tried to get close to the Lizardman, who was watching from the side.
"Who's there!" The Lizardman sensed something and turned around quickly.
All he got in reply was a sky full of sword light!
The Intent of the Sword hummed, filled with a terrifying killing energy. The pressure was so strong that the Lizardman felt a deep sense of danger.
Boom... boom...
The sword light called out the Nine Heavens Tribulation Lightning. In a flash, dark clouds gathered. With Johnnie's sword, a huge lightning bolt appeared.
Crack!
Boom!
The Lizardman looked shocked. He had several terrible wounds on his body, and electric sparks kept jumping from his injuries.
"Power of the Way!"
"You're the human who killed my people!" The Lizardman didn't hesitate. He ran toward Sadek, the Six-Armed Demon, even though he was badly hurt.
"Sadek! Help me!" He shouted as he ran.
He knew that there was a fellow monster — someone just as strong as him, at the level of The Lesser God — who had already been killed by Johnnie.
Sadek turned around suddenly. He hadn't even had time to figure out what was happening.
At that moment, the villagers who were protecting The Way of Heaven Divine Stele seized the chance and attacked Sadek, who was distracted.
But it was a pity — the Power of the Way in the villagers was too weak.
Even with the chance, they couldn't kill Sadek directly.
Sadek used all his strength. He swung his six arms wildly, attacking with all the weapons he held.
In the blink of an eye, all the villagers who had attacked Sadek fell to the ground, coughing up blood and barely breathing.
But good news came — at that moment, Johnnie had already caught up with the Lizardman.
Sadek turned his attention to Johnnie now. His legs bent slightly, and he moved like lightning, appearing in front of Johnnie in an instant.
"Human! Die!" Sadek shouted angrily.
Johnnie didn't hesitate at all. He launched another attack.
Countless sword lights flew out, humming with power.
More lightning bolts fell from the dark clouds in the sky.
Boom!
Boom!
The lightning crashed down, full of terrifying energy, and locked onto the Six-Armed Demon Sadek.
A loud, painful scream echoed — it was terrible and full of fear.
