Chapter 326: Johnnie's Attitude
Behind the scenes, the Immortality Cultivators from Dragon Country, Cameron and Aiden, exchanged a quick glance, each seeing the surprise in the other's eyes.
They had heard a lot about Johnnie recently, but they didn't think he was anything special. He was just a young guy who had just started to grow strong. Even if he was powerful, he was nothing more than an ant in front of them.
After all, they had been Immortality Cultivators for thousands of years. They had just chosen to stay on Earth, instead of following the others into the Universe Continent.
Douglas didn't notice Cameron and Aiden's silent exchange. After sealing off this space, he looked at Johnnie with a serious expression.
"Johnnie, you and I are both chosen by Heaven. Our fight should stop for now." Douglas said, and then pulled out a piece of The Map of Heaven and Earth.
Before Johnnie could react, Douglas quickly put the fragment back.
He continued."Being a Heaven's chosen is not as good as you think. Everything comes with a price."
"Price?" Johnnie looked confused.
Even if being a Heaven's chosen had some bad sides, it had nothing to do with him. After all, he wasn't a Heaven's chosen at all. He was something much more mysterious — The Heavenslayer.
"You don't know what happened to the Heaven's chosen." said Cameron, stepping forward from Dragon Country's Immortality Cultivators.
He had a mocking smile on his face, as if he was laughing at Johnnie's ignorance.
Cameron raised his head slightly, looking proud as he said."The so-called Heaven's chosen were just bodies for Saint to take over."
"There were six of you in total. At first, each of you was given different chances, and got all sorts of rare weapons and gear that ordinary people could only dream of."
"But what you don't know is, the faster you grow stronger, the closer you get to real death."
Aiden stood behind Cameron, nodding as he looked greedily at Johnnie and Douglas's bodies.
He coughed once, drawing everyone's attention.
"Of course, as a strong guardian of Earth, it's my duty to protect everyone. I won't just stand by and let you all be taken over by Saint."
"I have a way to save you all."
Douglas nodded, took a deep breath, and said to Johnnie:
"Right. Once we join forces with the Haldrem Empire and get through this crisis, we need to work together to fight against this so-called Saint."
Douglas wasn't willing to accept his fate. He had worked hard, sacrificed everything, and strengthened his body and power, only for it all to be used as a body for Saint to take over.
That's why he had to put aside his differences with Johnnie for now and try to form an alliance.
Douglas, Cameron, and Aiden had all expected that, once Johnnie found out the truth, he would be scared and try to make peace with them.
But instead, they saw Johnnie's face calm and emotionless as he simply replied to Douglas:
"Want to work together? Then hand over the pieces of The Map of Heaven and Earth first."
"Johnnie! You!" Douglas was speechless for a moment. He had never expected that Johnnie showed no sign of fear at all.
Ignoring Douglas's shout, Johnnie turned his gaze to Cameron and Aiden.
He didn't like these two Immortality Cultivators from behind Dragon Country at all. In his previous life, when Earth was in danger and invaded by outsiders, he had never heard of Cameron or Aiden.
So, after hearing Aiden's words, Johnnie quickly realized that Cameron and Aiden weren't as kind as they seemed.
There was something definitely wrong with them.
Johnnie didn't want to stay any longer. He was still planning to go into the Universe Continent and see just how strong that so-called Six-Armed Demon was.
But just then, a cold light flashed in Cameron's eyes. He spoke in a chilling tone:
"Refusing a drink and going for punishment — kid, if you want to die on your own, then hand over the Kantorin Seal!"
Johnnie smiled a little, then sent out a wave of Soul Power. He activated the Sword of Souls, and a bone-chilling coldness, along with a deadly danger, instantly filled the room.
All those words from the two Immortality Cultivators — it was just to get his Kantorin Seal.
Let them try to make him hand it over?
That's a dream!
Aiden and Cameron exchanged another quick glance, ready to attack together. Johnnie was just one person. Even if he was dangerous, he could never beat the two of them working as a team.
Douglas got worried right away. The issue of Saint taking over the Heaven's chosen was a matter of life and death for him.
Before he could deal with that problem, he didn't want to have a fight between himself and others.
Without hesitation, Douglas appeared in front of Aiden and Cameron, shouting,
"Stay calm, both of you — please stay calm!"
"Hmph. Once this kid begs for mercy, I'll calm down." Cameron sneered. He needed to weaken Johnnie's confidence a little, or else his plan wouldn't work.
Aiden had the same attitude. He said directly."Johnnie, it's not too late to admit you're wrong."
"Without our help, you won't be able to fight those invaders. The Montemar Empire will surely fall because of you!"
Johnnie found it funny. These two Immortality Cultivators had just been talking about protecting Earth, and now they were threatening him with the Six-Armed Demon.
People like this? Could they really protect Earth? Protect humanity?
Johnnie wanted to kill the two fake guys right there, to stop them from causing more trouble later.
Just then, the tense standoff between Johnnie and Cameron, Aiden broke the space that Douglas had sealed.
The old leader and Nick rushed in, shouting together:
"Everyone, we're all fighting for Earth — don't fight among yourselves!"
Cameron immediately replied."Fighting? It's not really a fight. I just want to teach Johnnie a lesson."
"Teach you a lesson? Go ahead and try." Johnnie said. At the same time, the Sword of Souls in front of him suddenly moved, and he took a step forward.
Void Sword, Seven Sword, The Map of Heaven and Earth... all of them were ready to attack!
Cameron and Aiden immediately changed expressions. They could feel a much stronger danger than before.
This kind of death threat was something they hadn't felt in a long time.
Aiden and Cameron looked at each other, and both saw fear in each other's eyes.
That was why they hadn't left Earth with the other Immortality Cultivators in the past — they were afraid of danger, so they stayed behind secretly.
Aiden looked at the old leader and said in a meaningful way."Cameron and I have been working for Earth and the Universe Continent. We've already contacted the Haldrem Empire. But Johnnie is stubborn and refuses to cooperate!"
"With someone like him, fighting the invaders is almost impossible!"
Aiden was threatening Johnnie, but he was also threatening the old leader. His meaning was clear: if Johnnie didn't give up the Kantorin Seal and didn't cooperate, he and Cameron would leave.
The old leader frowned tightly. If Aiden and Cameron left, it would make the Montemar Empire much more vulnerable when facing the powerful Six-Armed Demons.
Nick clenched his fists. He just couldn't accept this kind of threat to Earth's safety.
But his strength was too weak to do anything about it.
Thinking about it, Nick looked at Johnnie. If there was anyone who could really save the Montemar Empire and defeat the invaders, it was definitely Johnnie.
Johnnie had seen just how low Aiden and Cameron were. He had already realized these two guys — they talked a lot about protecting Earth, but in the end, it was all about themselves.
Aiden and Cameron wanted the Kantorin Seal because their time was running out. Their lives were almost up.
If they had asked politely in the beginning, Johnnie might have given them the Seal for a while, just because they were all working for Earth.
Right now, Johnnie had completely seen through Aiden and Cameron. Wanting the Kantorin Seal? Not a chance!
Working with people like them, Johnnie would always worry they'd stab him in the back, betray Earth, and betray humanity.
"Either you leave right now, or you stay here forever — and don't even think about going anywhere." Johnnie said without hesitation.
Cameron and Aiden's faces turned dark. They had lived for a long time, and after the other Immortality Cultivators had left for the Universe Continent, no one had ever spoken to them like that before.
At that moment, the old leader took a deep breath and walked over to Johnnie's side.
He said."Johnnie, can you calm down for my sake?"
The old leader was very old. His hair was white, and he looked tired and worn out. At his age, he should have been retired, enjoying life.
But now, because of the Six-Armed Demons, his eyes were red and full of tiredness.
Everyone who tried to protect Earth and defend humanity was worth respect.
"I already said — only when Johnnie gives up the Kantorin Seal will we continue to help." Aiden said.
The old leader suddenly looked up, stared at Aiden and Cameron, and then spoke seriously to Johnnie:
"Without them, can Montemar Empire stand up to the strong invaders?"
Johnnie answered."With them, things would get worse."
The old leader stayed silent for a moment, then nodded. "I see."
Compared to Aiden and Cameron, he trusted Johnnie more.
"The Kantorin Seal belongs to Johnnie. He doesn't have to give it to you — that's not his fault." the old leader said, looking at Aiden and Cameron.
"You shouldn't have threatened him with the safety of Montemar Empire or Earth."
Aiden and Cameron were shocked. They even wondered if they had heard wrong.
"Are you saying we did something wrong?" Cameron frowned.
"You'd better think carefully. Without us, the whole Earth will be in danger." Aiden said, looking angry.
The old leader took a deep breath, ignored them, and slowly bent over to bow deeply to Johnnie.
"Please."
