Onepiece: I'm Aizen Sosuke

Chapter 24: Chapter 23 The Dumbfounded Pirates

As Aizen reflected on his growth, he understood that the soul-tearing slash, though devastating, was not enough to elevate his overall strength to its peak. The key to true dominance lay not in the basic techniques but in the foundation of all his abilities: **Reiatsu**.

It was Reiatsu—vast, unyielding, and oppressive—that set Aizen apart. Whether through Kidō or the hypnotic powers of **Kyōka Suigetsu**, his strength stemmed from this overwhelming spiritual force. It wasn't finesse or tools but sheer power that defined Aizen's supremacy.

In the One Piece world, Aizen estimated that Marine Admirals were equivalent to or even surpassed the Gotei 13 captains. However, even at their peak, those Admirals would pale before the might of Aizen at his prime. Aizen, without the Hōgyoku, had already demonstrated the ability to defeat captains effortlessly—chantless Kidō alone could obliterate them. With full power, facing all three Admirals together would have been trivial.

The Path to Power

"To reach my full potential here, I need to challenge Admiral-level combatants," Aizen mused, his eyes glinting with calculated ambition. His mind turned to the most notorious figures of the era:

- The Evil King

- Hunter of the Abyss

- Big Barrel Pirates

- World Destroyer Byrnndi World

- Big Mom

- Douglas Bullet

- And… the Red-Haired Shanks

Each was a prominent figure, some destined to escape Impel Down and leave their mark on the seas. However, Shanks, despite his future status as one of the Four Emperors, was currently too inexperienced to offer substantial value. Aizen knew better than to waste time; facing Shanks later, at his peak, would yield far greater rewards.

"Systematic conquest is the key," Aizen resolved. "Taking down these notable individuals, one by one, will accelerate my ascent."

Garp's Sudden Arrival

"Captain Roger, there's a warship approaching! It's… Garp!"

The urgent shout from a crew member shattered the tense atmosphere aboard the Oro Jackson. Two Roger Pirates hurried onto the deck, their faces pale with anxiety.

"What? Garp?"

The name alone sent a wave of tension through the crew. Though a Vice Admiral in rank, Garp's reputation eclipsed that of most Marine Admirals. Known for his relentless pursuit of the Roger Pirates, he had forced them to flee countless times. His arrival was no small matter.

Before Roger could react, the sound of heavy impacts echoed across the sea.

**Boom! Boom! Boom!**

Seven or eight cannonballs soared through the air—not from a ship's cannons, but hurled by Garp's own hands. Each projectile carried the force of a devastating artillery strike, the raw power behind them unmistakable.

"That bastard Garp!" Rayleigh growled, his expression darkening. He knew these signature attacks well. While most of the crew could intercept or deflect them, a single hit on the ship itself would spell disaster.

"Roger! Hand over that brat, Aizen!"

Garp's voice boomed over the chaos, tinged with fury and urgency. His words caught Roger off guard.

"Brat?" Roger echoed, his brow furrowing in confusion.

Rayleigh's sharp gaze turned to Aizen, seeking an explanation.

Aizen's Calm Reveal

"It seems I neglected to mention something," Aizen said, stepping forward with his usual composure. "I am, in fact, a student of the Marine Elite Camp. I must thank you, Senior Rayleigh, for your invaluable guidance."

The revelation left the Roger Pirates stunned.

"Marine?" several crew members murmured, exchanging bewildered glances.

Rayleigh's eyes narrowed, the realization dawning on him. "You used this duel… to hone your skills?"

Aizen smiled faintly but did not deny it. "Every experience is a stepping stone. I merely made the most of the opportunity."

His calm demeanor contrasted sharply with the mounting tension as Garp's ship closed the distance.

Garp's Anger and Concern

Unbeknownst to the crew, Garp's anger stemmed not from hostility but from worry. Despite his carefree exterior, he had been covertly monitoring Aizen's journey through the Marines' intelligence network. His faith in Aizen's strength was tempered by his understanding of the dangers lurking in the New World.

The thought of Aizen, a Marine prodigy, crossing paths with the likes of the Roger Pirates had spurred Garp into action. If anything happened to the young man, he would face the wrath of Zephyr, Sengoku, and even Kong—not to mention his own guilt.

"Aizen!" Garp bellowed again, his tone sharp. "You'd better be alive!"

Aizen turned to Roger and Rayleigh, bowing slightly. "It appears my guardian has arrived. I must take my leave. However, this encounter has been most enlightening."

Without waiting for a response, he stepped to the edge of the ship, his Zanpakutō gleaming faintly at his side.

Rayleigh exhaled, his respect for Aizen deepening despite the deception. "He's a dangerous one," he muttered.

Roger laughed heartily. "Dangerous, yes. But fascinating, don't you think?"

As Aizen leapt toward the approaching warship, the Roger Pirates watched in silence, their curiosity about the enigmatic swordsman growing.
