Chapter 15: Chapter 15-god valley 4
AN:
Hello there!
So, quick update—I know I've been MIA for the past few weeks, but I've been experimenting with the best way to maximize chapter uploads. And guess what? I think I cracked the code, Instead of posting one chapter at a time, I'll be writing multiple chapters, dropping them all at once, then taking a break before repeating the cycle(the break will be short, so don't worry).
How many chapters, you ask? Well… that depends Could be three, could be ten. Who knows? As for word count? Some chapters might be 800 words, others might go over 1,000. It all depends on how much time I have (and how many distractions I let myself fall into, ahem. . . Marvel rivals)
So, sit back, relax, grab a drink (or two), maybe some snacks, and enjoy the story! Just don't blame me if you binge it all in one go and end up impatiently waiting for the next batch.
Alright, I'm off! See you next time! 👋

Third person POV
[Morning]
The next morning came faster than expected. The humid air clung to their burlap clothes as Yami and Kuma moved carefully through the dense jungle. Birds scattered from tree branches above, startled by the rustle of leaves as they treaded cautiously.
Yami glanced at Kuma, who looked more determined than nervous now. "Alright, kid," Yami said casually, "tell me where you last saw this Ginny of yours."
Kuma frowned, thinking hard. "Well last time I saw her, she was in a group full of women taken by some guards going towards the eastern side of the island. I think they were dragging her toward one of those tall slim mountains."
Yami scratched the back of his head. "Mountains, huh? Sounds like a pain. Hope you're not leading me into some kind of hidden fortress."
Kuma grinned sheepishly. "It might be a bit dangerous."
Yami snorted and sighed. "Figures. Nothing in this world is easy."
And after that, they trudged forward, dodging thorny vines uneven ground, and other slaves. After about hours of silent walking, Kuma broke the silence.
"So, Captain," Kuma began, his voice cutting through the sounds of rustling leaves and snapping branches, "how are we even gonna pull this off? Escaping the island, freeing the slaves—heck, how are we supposed to get passed the navy and admirals?"
Yami smirked deviously, stepping his right foot over a thick root. "Simple, Kuma—create chaos so big, no one notices us slipping out."
Kuma furrowed his brow. "Chaos? Like what kind of chaos?"
"A distraction kind," Yami said confidently. "A huge one, Something so big that the Navy, Admirals, and the weird knights here will have no choice but to focus on it instead of us."
Kuma blinked, intrigued by the plan. "How do you even pull something like that off, boss?"
Yami grinned wickedly. " for the plan to work, We'll need a special kind Den Den Mushi."
Kuma tilted his head, confused. "A special den den mushi? What for?"
Yami's eyes gleamed with dangerous excitement. "To announce to every pirate in the world and tell them there's an immense treasure, two powerful Devil Fruits, and a chance to become King of the entire world, and it's waiting right here on West Blue, God Valley Island. I want them flooding this place like it's the damn black Friday on Walmart."
Kuma's jaw dropped. "You're crazy! If pirates show up, won't that make escaping harder and what the heck is a black Friday Walmart?"
'Poor kid he doesn't know the joys of knocking everyone down just for a 20% discount TV' yami said in his mind while sighing as well.
"maybe" Yami admitted with a shrug. "But it'll also keep the Navy and the admirals busy dealing with the chaos. We use the chaos to grab the slaves, the native civilians, and vanish while they're too busy fighting."
Kuma shook his head, a mix of disbelief and admiration on his face. "You're so crazy, boss."
"Probably," Yami said, grinning. "Butt, This plan is what's gonna get us off this island."
As they reached a small clearing, Yami suddenly froze. His Spidey Senses tingled violently, a warning that danger was near.
"Get down!" Yami hissed, grabbing Kuma by the collar and yanking him to the ground just as a spear whizzed past their heads, embedding itself into a tree with a dull thunk.
"Looks like we've got company," Yami muttered, eyes narrowing.
Emerging from the shadows were four rugged-looking slaves, each armed with wooden spears.
"Look what we've got here," the leader sneered, a scar running across his cheek. "A couple of [rabbits] thinking they can stroll around like they own the place, looks like we'll get those devil fruit earlier than we thought boys."
Yami stood up, cracking his knuckles. "You guys really picked the wrong day to stop us."
The slaves laughed. "Oh, we got ourselves a tough guy, huh?" one of them mocked. "You think you can take all of us?"
Yami's grin turned feral. "Guess you'll find out, you sonavabitch!."
Without waiting for them to make the first move, Yami launched himself forward, wolverine style, his fists exploding. The first slave didn't even have time to scream before being blasted backward into a tree, smoke rising from his dead body.
"That's one," Yami said smugly.
Kuma watched in awe, his mouth hanging open. "Boss… you're batshit crazy."
"Thanks you kuma," Yami shot back with a smile.
The remaining slaves charged, but Yami was already moving. Dodging a wild swing, he slammed his palm into another slave's chest, releasing a controlled explosion that sent the man flying.
The last two tried to flank him, but Yami ducked under their attacks, sweeping one off his feet and landing a crushing kick to the other's gut.
Within seconds, it was over. Smoke lingered in the air as the slaves lay sprawled on the ground, some dead some alive.
Yami dusted off his hands. "Thats should do the trick, come on kuma let's go before it gets dark."
Kuma stood up, still wide-eyed. "Remind me not to piss you off."
Yami just chuckled at the comment.
To be continued. . . . .
