One Piece:I am King Luffy!

Chapter 137: Chapter 137: The Night Raid

Waking up in the morning, Luffy glanced at the anime heroine lying beside him, feeling a bit dazed as he recalled the events of the previous night. Realization dawned on him, and he carefully got up without disturbing Nami, then slipped away to wash up. Afterward, he let Uta take over his body for morning training.

Uta, using Luffy's body, gave a lazy scratch to her head, and as she wandered around, noticed Nami's door slightly ajar and her bed empty. She didn't think much of it since Nami and Nojiko were both early risers. Their sleep and wake times were almost identical, just differing slightly in sequence.

"Good morning, Uta! Have you seen Nami?" Nojiko stretched and greeted her.

"Oh, I wanted her to help me slice some fruit. I wonder where she went?" Uta replied absentmindedly.

"She's probably reading somewhere on the ship," Uta said casually.

Just then, the door to Luffy's room opened, and an orange-haired girl emerged.

Nami, looking a bit awkward as she spotted the two girls nearby, scratched her head in embarrassment.

"Good morning, Nojiko, Uta… I overslept…"

"Morning! Why are you coming out of Luffy's room?" Nojiko asked, puzzled.

"Uh…" Nami hesitated. Can I really say I couldn't sleep and ended up dozing off in Luffy's room?

She had meant to sneak back early but lingered too long, savoring the warmth of the bed—thanks to last night's storm! Silently blaming the weather, Nami decided it was fine to tell the truth.

"Oh, really? Why didn't you come to me? Nami, are we not close anymore?" Nojiko feigned a hurt expression.

Usually, Nami confided in Nojiko first since they were the same age.

"Well… Luffy's room has this warm, cozy feeling…" Nami explained, slightly embarrassed.

"Something Nojiko doesn't have, so I just thought of Luffy first."

Uta, curious, looked at Nami with a shocked expression. "Wait… Nami, did you also see… Luffy's thing that we don't have?"

"Huh?" Nami was puzzled by Uta's strange comment.

"What are you all discussing over there? Breakfast is ready!" Bellemere's voice called from the kitchen, interrupting them.

"Coming, Bellemere!" Nojiko responded and walked away.

"Boys are quite fascinating, aren't they?" Uta whispered mysteriously to Nami.

"Yes, they are, but other boys aren't as unique as Luffy," Nami said, comparing him to the boys back in her village, who just didn't measure up to Luffy.

Uta hummed, about to say more, but her stomach growled, bringing an end to the conversation.

After a week, on a late night, Tyson suddenly opened his eyes and let out a loud, resounding roar before kicking open Luffy's door.

"What's going on? How did a big gorilla get on this ship?"

Pirates who had snuck onto the ship, climbing on with ropes, froze in confusion at the sight of the bellowing ape.

Waking up in a flash, Luffy grabbed his King's Sword from beside the door and flicked on the light, piercing through the night's darkness.

"We've been discovered!" cursed one of the pirates as they searched for the noisy gorilla, but Tyson had already darted back inside.

"Pirates, you've interrupted my sleep."

Luffy scratched his chest, dragging the King's Sword.

"Pfft, just a kid!" The pirates, seeing their night raid foiled, went straight to open looting and charged at Luffy, brandishing their weapons. In a blink, the boy disappeared.

Flashes of blades cut through the night, and Luffy wove between the pirates. Blood splattered on the deck as he reappeared at the bow, his blade glinting as he casually flicked off the blood.

He turned his gaze to the nearby sea, where a large pink ship adorned with swans and hearts silently approached the warship.

It was late, and Moo Moo, their sea beast, was already sleeping, leaving the warship anchored in place.

"What's with that kid? He took down so many in an instant?"

The woman on the other ship, a hefty figure wielding a heavy iron club that made the wooden deck creak under its weight, narrowed her eyes at Luffy.

"There was no mention of a swordsman this strong in the East Blue," she muttered, then barked orders in a menacing tone.

"Boys, open fire! Sink that ship!"

"Aye, Captain!" Her crew trained their cannons on Luffy's ship.

"A Slip-Slip Fruit user…" Luffy thought as he looked at the hefty woman, trying to remember her name. All he recalled was that this female pirate's powers would eventually allow her to slim down into a beauty.

But that wouldn't be happening now.

A crimson glow like molten lava flickered in Luffy's eyes, illuminating the night. The female pirate saw Luffy's gaze flash, and suddenly her entire crew at the cannons collapsed.

"Killing my crew so quickly… So, you're a Devil Fruit user, huh?" she shouted defiantly at him.

"Not bad, kid. Want to join me?" She gripped her heavy spiked club, muscles bulging with strength.

If this kid was a swordsman, she might have a chance in close combat as long as she stayed wary of that rumored Devil Fruit power.

Luffy remained silent. With a single leap, he jumped from the warship onto the enemy vessel. Prepared, the female pirate swung her club at him, but a glint of steel flashed—her club was cut clean through, followed swiftly by her neck.

Since the sword had double edges, he didn't even need to reposition it.

"Just a bunch of nobodies… Let's see if they have any treasure…"

Luffy ignored the unconscious pirates affected by his Conqueror's Haki, heading into their quarters. He gathered up gold, packed it into a chest, then stabbed all their rum barrels before setting a fire.

The pirate ship was soon engulfed in flames, and Luffy could hear some pirates regaining consciousness, screaming as they leaped into the water.

"All taken care of?" Bellemere asked, stepping out with her rifle.

"Yep. Like I said, Tyson is a reliable friend too!" Luffy chuckled, setting the chest of gold down beside him with a grin.
