In the New World, another four months passed since the war began.

On Umut Island:

The island was destroyed by a cataclysmic battle, teetering on the brink of collapse into the sea.

"Cough, cough, Shiki, you win!" John, covered in blood, lay powerless in a crater, his Mythical Zoan recovery unable to heal him.

Golden Lion stood nearby, arrogantly holding his swords, ready to kill John if he wished.

"Jihahaha, John, you're right. I won!"

"Jihahaha, John, I won't kill you, just like Li Yuan didn't kill Silver Axe and Branton."

Golden Lion initially intended to kill John, but after learning of Li Yuan's actions, he reconsidered.

Golden Lion aimed for world domination, viewing issues beyond his crew's interests.

"Yohoho, Shiki, I didn't expect such magnanimity from you," John laughed, using all his strength to compliment Golden Lion, knowing such words were cheap.

In the past four months, Golden Lion defeated John and Wald, yet spared them, much like Li Yuan did with Silver Axe and Branton.

Defeated, Wald and John vented on smaller pirate crews, just as Silver Axe and Branton had.

On Moris Island:

Marco watched the remnants of Wang Zhi's crew, fleeing in defeat from Whitebeard's assault.

He gazed at the battlefield, where many brothers who once ate, drank, and shared stories were now gone.

"Father, we won!!" Marco cried, tears streaming down his face. Whitebeard had won, but the Whitebeard Pirates had lost dearly, nearly losing all their siblings.

"I'm sorry, Father. We were too weak and dragged you down!" Jozu, usually stoic, wept with guilt. If they were stronger, their siblings wouldn't have died before their eyes.

"Children, this is the sea, the harsh reality of war!"

"You needn't blame yourselves. You're alive, so live joyfully for those who died, cherish every day!" Whitebeard's eyes reddened, but he held back tears. As Whitebeard, he was the pillar for his surviving children and the crew.

After losing to Golden Lion, Wald vented his anger on smaller crews, then returned to his territory near the New World's forefront, close to a Marine stronghold, risking Navy attacks.

Wald was unafraid, determined to claim that land and oppose the Navy.

"Brother, any luck?" Wald asked.

"No, not yet. But it's likely in the New World's forefront; we just haven't found it yet," Bin Jack replied.

"Then we'll keep searching. Any Marine station is suspect; we will find it!" 

"Once we do, combined with my Momo Fruit, we can defeat the Navy and even destroy their headquarters!" Wald was excited at the thought of that power.

He had witnessed its might firsthand, capable of island destruction without his fruit's enhancement. With it, he couldn't imagine the extent of its power!

Then, he'd have his revenge on Golden Lion and destroy the Navy and the world!

Roger Pirates:

"Yo, Golden Lion and Li Yuan are amazing, becoming the victors of this war!" Roger praised, reading the newspaper.

"Indeed, Li Yuan has mastered the fusion of three sword intents, using them simultaneously. I wonder what that swordsmanship is like!" Rayleigh mused.

"Simple, let's visit him," Roger suggested.

"If we go, the two crews might fight immediately," Rayleigh cautioned. The New World was tense; a visit could be seen as a territorial threat.

Poor handling could lead other crews to ally against them, potentially driving the Roger Pirates from the New World.

"Then forget it. We can't find the answer, as if something's hiding it!" Roger continued.

"Yes, it seems the World Government is covering it up. Finding the answer won't be easy," Rayleigh agreed.

"Hahahaha, not even the World Government can stop us from pursuing our dreams. We'll find it!"

"But first, we need someone to decipher the Poneglyphs."

Roger laughed.

In the New World's central, prosperous sea, the Flying Pirates and Infinity Pirates held sway.

Li Yuan and Golden Lion, captains of the two major crews, finally met here. All eyes were on them, eager to see who was stronger!

"Hahaha, Golden Lion, long time no see!" Li Yuan laughed upon meeting Golden Lion.

"Jihahaha, Li Yuan, long time no see!" Golden Lion laughed in response.

Contrary to expectations, they didn't fight upon meeting. Instead, they laughed like madmen, appearing insane to outsiders.

"Let's leave a neutral zone between Infinity and Flying territories, ensuring no conflict," Li Yuan proposed after the laughter.

Golden Lion wasn't keen on fighting the Infinity Pirates yet. Though he defeated John and Wald, the Flying Pirates suffered losses and lacked manpower to secure territories.

He preferred avoiding conflict, preventing others from benefiting.

He wasn't confident in defeating the Infinity Pirates, who had beaten the Violence and Silver Axe Pirates months earlier.

After four months of recuperation, the Infinity Pirates had likely regained strength. Li Yuan's mysterious power left Golden Lion uncertain of victory.

"Jihahaha, no problem!" Golden Lion agreed without hesitation. Otherwise, they'd have clashed with Conqueror's Haki upon meeting.

"Li Yuan, how about joining forces to dominate the world?"

"I know your ambition matches mine. Since we both aim for world domination, why not unite to defeat the Navy and World Government?"

Golden Lion's eyes burned with desire as he proposed.

If the Flying and Infinity Pirates united, even the Navy would be no threat!

He had seen the World Government's strength firsthand; their numbers were staggering. Alone, the Flying Pirates couldn't match the Navy, let alone the World Government.

Thus, he sought to recruit Li Yuan, sharing common enemies and ambition!

"Joining forces sounds good. Golden Lion, merge the Flying Pirates into the Infinity Pirates. I'll make you vice-captain, second only to me. What do you think?" Li Yuan proposed, intrigued.
