One Piece: Ultimate Villain

Chapter 34: 34. The Fourth

[The cooldown period is over, and you may start a new life simulation at any time. Would you like to begin?]

Oh? The cooldown is finally over?

"Start!"

[The simulation will begin soon. Please choose three of the following talents; after the simulation, you may retain one as a permanent talent.]

[Literary Talent (White): You have excellent writing skills.]

[Single Noble (White): In this simulation, you are destined to be without romantic interests, but you are born with endless wealth.]

[Eerie Awakening (Blue): You have a ghostly companion.]

[Second Young Master of the Family (White): You are the second young master of the family. Your wife will inevitably die at age 30, after which you gain wealth by repeatedly exploiting the memory of your deceased spouse.]

[Senzu Bean (Blue): You possess three Senzu Beans capable of healing any injury.]

[Truth Speaker (White): In this simulation, if you lie, it will inevitably be exposed.]

[Great Magician (Blue): You will remain a virgin throughout your life, but your skill-learning speed will be greatly accelerated.]

[Protected (Blue): When working as a subordinate, you learn skills faster.]

[Forever a Legend (White): You gain a loyal follower with an affinity for sewing machines.]

[No Childhood (Purple): In this simulation, you will start directly at age 18. You may use all the skills and bring one weapon from the real world.]

...Is this a joke?!

The last simulation had a red talent, but now, except for No Childhood, it's all basic blue and white!

What are Second Young Master of the Family and Eerie Awakening even supposed to be?

Do they want me to get banned for two days?!

"I choose No Childhood, Senzu Bean, and Skill Enhancement as my fixed talent!"

[The simulation begins!]

[You were born into an adventurer's family in the Lvneel Kingdom in the North Blue. From a young age, you grew up listening to your father's countless tales of adventure. Your favorite story is about the City of Gold, Shandora. You yearn for the day you can set sail in search of this legendary golden city.]

[Age 18: This year, through deception, you manage to swindle a ship and a large sum of money from the King of Lvneel. You recruit a crew and set sail as captain.]

[Age 19: After a year at sea, your provisions are nearly exhausted. One evening, you overhear crew members in the captain's quarters grumbling that you deceived them into this voyage, saying the so-called quest for the City of Gold was a lie and that you plan to sell them off to work on some cotton plantation. Rumors escalate. What is your response?]

[A. Carefully explain.]

[B. Throw the rumor-spreader into the sea to fish for food.]

[C. Execute all the rumor-spreaders. This not only solves the issue of rumors but also addresses the food crisis.]

Huh…

Nobody's going to listen to me when there's no food!

Option C mentions solving the food crisis. Does it mean I can eat the rumor-spreaders?

Are we turning into ghouls now?!

"I choose B!"

[You throw the rumor-spreader into the sea to attract Sea Kings for food. But he grabs a young crew member and pulls him into the water as well. Just then, a massive Sea King appears. You dive into the water, rescuing the innocent crew member. The Sea King fails to bite off your arm. You slay the Sea King, resolving the food crisis.]

[Age 20: You encounter a fierce storm near Jaya Island. Amid the crew's shouts and the fury of nature, you faintly hear a beautiful, ethereal bell sound.]

[Following the sound, you discover an island covered by dense forest. You order the helmsman to bring the ship closer. Just as you set foot on the island, you find a young, bare-chested man with small white wings on his back collapsed under a tree. Upon inspection, you realize he has contracted a plague called Tree Fever. You know that there is medicine on the ship to cure Tree Fever, but the supply is barely enough for you and your crew. What do you decide?]

[A. Return to the ship to get the medicine for him.]

[B. Wake him up and ask what happened.]

[C. Although thin, the young man has a handsome face, far more attractive than your crew. And you haven't seen a woman in a long time… so why not take advantage of the situation while he's still warm?]

Take advantage of him while he's still warm?

And it's a guy?!

"Seriously? System, why are these choices getting more twisted?!"

Marsh could barely handle it and muttered in frustration.

[Every choice is carefully crafted to lead the host through unique simulated experiences.]

"Well, now I'm curious to see what kind of story Option C would lead to!"
