The Alvarez Empire.
Within the Empire's council chamber, Ajeel Raml, the Desert King, spoke with a hint of excitement. "But he's just a mage from Ishgar. Is it really necessary to mobilize the entire Spriggan 12? I can handle this alone."
Invel shook his head, his expression grave. "Don't underestimate him. Serena is dead, and Dimaria is missing. To be honest, even with all the Spriggan 12 present, and the full might of the Alvarez Empire, I don't have absolute confidence in our victory. He's too dangerous."
The other members of the Spriggan 12 were taken aback by Invel's words. They knew he wasn't one to exaggerate.
Ajeel, slightly embarrassed, spread his hands. "Are you serious? What's so great about Ishgar? It only produced one God Serena."
Invel shrugged. "Unfortunately, it's not a joke. It's the truth."

Then, with a determined air, the Spriggan 12 and a vast Imperial army marched towards the western coast.
Invel, his voice cold, addressed Ian. "Young man, state your purpose for coming to Alvarez! Otherwise, I doubt anyone here will let you leave alive."
Ian shrugged. "My purpose? I've already told you. I'm looking for Acnologia, and I'm curious about the Alvarez Empire that Zeref created. I thought I'd do a little sightseeing."
Zeref?
The Spriggan 12 were confused. Was he referring to their Emperor, Spriggan, as Zeref? Invel continued, "If you want to join the Spriggan 12, the Empire will welcome you. Our goal is also to deal with Acnologia." Some present thought Invel was insane, inviting their enemy to join them was practically letting a wolf into the fold.
But perhaps it was their only option. They could stall until His Majesty returned.
Then, neither this demon nor Acnologia would stand a chance. However, looking at the expectant faces around him, Ian simply uttered two words.
"I Refuse."
Such a blatant rejection made it clear that he intended to oppose the Empire. How could the Spriggan 12 let him go?
The palace was heavily guarded. Breaking through would be nearly impossible, especially with eight of the Spriggan 12 present.
He would likely be defeated before he even took a step out of the palace. Ian, however, remained unfazed. "I'm looking for Acnologia because I want to kill him. But it's not because I fear him, or because I want to join you. Your Emperor is also trying to avoid him. Finding your Emperor will likely lead me to the dragon. But I also sensed that Zeref has already left, hasn't he?"
The Spriggan 12 were stunned. This man was full of himself. Invel's voice turned icy. "Since that's the case, Prepare to die."
Ian scoffed. "You want to kill me?"
Invel stated, "Since you've refused our offer, the Empire cannot allow such a dangerous enemy to live. It's best to eliminate you now, before you can cause any harm to the Empire."
Ian burst into laughter, his voice filled with scorn. "Just you lot? What is your Emperor, Spriggan, anyway? I could crush him with you!"
"Don't think that defeating Serena makes you invincible. There are nine others here of the same caliber as Serena. You can't escape the Empire's grasp. Let me see what you're made of. If you're not up to par, then you die here."
"Sand Golem!"
Ajeel extended his arms, unleashing his magic. A massive, swirling sand construct formed before Ian.
Ian was slightly surprised. Such a massive construct had formed so quickly.
Impressive casting speed.
"Hahaha… Die!"
The sand golem moved with surprising speed, its enormous fist hurtling towards Ian. Ian, however, remained calm. He clenched his right fist, then casually punched forward.
Crack! Crack!
Even with such a casual blow, the air cracked before his fist. Ajeel's sand golem was instantly shattered, dissolving back into sand. The power level in the Fairy Tail world was considerably higher than in One Piece. Even the Yonko were only around the level of a Wizard Saint, and a weaker one at that.
Ajeel's eyes widened, sweat dripping from his brow. "What? Is that for real…?"
"Antlion Pit!"
Not giving up, Ajeel clapped his hands on the ground. The earth beneath Ian instantly transformed into a swirling vortex of quicksand, attempting to bury him alive.
"Hahaha… You're careless! This is the Antlion's Pit, the door to your end! No one has ever escaped from it!"
Despite the quicksand pulling him down, Ian remained unfazed. "Is that the best you can do?"
"What?" Ajeel was enraged.
"I mean, are you the weakest of the Spriggan 12?" Ian repeated.
"What did you say?!"
"Nothing. It just seems like the Spriggan 12 aren't all that impressive."
Whoosh!
White, transparent aura enveloped Ian's body.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The earth trembled violently. Ian stomped his foot, and the surrounding sand was blasted away, forming a large crater. Ajeel was thrown back by the shockwave.
Ian spoke, "You attacked me first. So, if I kill you, it's no big deal, right?"
Ajeel, hearing Ian's words, broke out in a cold sweat. He hadn't sensed any strong magic power from Ian, but he could feel an intense, almost tangible pressure, a sense of impending doom.
It was a feeling he had never experienced before, not even from His Majesty. Every instinct screamed at him to use his full power, or he might die.
"Sand World!"
Ajeel unleashed his most powerful offensive spell. A vast area around them was instantly transformed into a raging sandstorm, obscuring vision and restricting movement. It was a domain that greatly enhanced his power. The other Spriggan 12 members stepped into the sand world, watching the scene unfold.
"Ajeel's using that already. Looks like he's facing a tough opponent."
Brandish, covering her mouth and nose with her clothes, spoke.
"Ugh, I hate sand."
"Sand Blades!"
Hidden within the sandstorm, Ajeel launched his attack. Countless blades of hardened sand rained down on Ian.
Ian didn't even bother to dodge. He swung his right arm, Colossal Sand Sables clashed with Ajeel's sand blades, shattering them instantly.
Whoosh!
Ian clenched his fist, and a white aura enveloped it. He then punched outwards in both directions.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The ground trembled violently, deep fissures spreading outwards like a giant chasm. The shockwaves rippled through the air.
It was an area-of-effect attack.
The Sand World was instantly dispelled. Ajeel, caught in the blast, screamed as he was sent flying, crashing to the ground.
"Ugh!" Ajeel coughed up blood.
"!!!"
Ajeel couldn't believe it. He had been severely injured with a single punch. "Damn it… Death Sand!"
Ajeel, enraged, extended his arms, unleashing another powerful spell.
But Ian had grown tired of playing around. He wouldn't give Ajeel another chance to attack. What happened next stunned everyone present. Ian stood in the midst of a raging sandstorm.
"Desert Girasole!"
"Erosion!"
The endless sand, no longer under Ajeel's control, Two of the world's most powerful sand-based attacks, unleashed simultaneously.
"Crap!" Ajeel's face paled. He had been severely injured and was still recovering. He couldn't dodge in time. A massive sand tornado formed, with Ajeel's giant sand golem, now reduced to the size of a chicken, caught in the center. It was hard to imagine that if he exerted his full power, he could have created a construct the size of an entire country.
Aaaahhh!
The Desert King, Ajeel, was killed, his body reduced to a dried husk. His screams echoed through the minds of everyone present.
Phoenix, time, ice, sand… Just how many types of magic did this demon possess? And his magical power seemed limitless. Was defeating Acnologia…not a lie after all?
...
"Historia of the Dead."
When Neinhart peered into Ian's mind, he was immediately confronted by the terrifying image of a giant black dragon. He quickly dispelled his Historia, fear etched on his face.
"What is it?"
"What did you see, Neinhart?" The others, seeing his terror, pressed him for answers. But Neinhart was too terrified to speak. He was afraid that he would be next.
Someone else, ignoring Neinhart's fear, stepped forward, a smirk on their face. "Let me try."
But Ian chuckled and said to Neinhart, "Are you sure you want to keep this to yourself?" Larcade, hearing this, said coldly,
"Don't think you can use such things to make us waver!" On the other side, Wall had already created mechanical puppets and launched an attack.
However, Ian waved his hand, and the puppets fell apart, reduced to scrap metal. This was the power of the Magnet-Magnet Fruit.
Wall's eyes widened in shock. "You destroyed my prized puppets?!"
"Wall, can't you analyze his composition?" Jacob asked, standing beside him, his hands clasped behind his back.
Wall's analytical device exploded, his eyes reflecting the same terror as Neinhart. What kind of being was this?
"Wall, has he lost the ability to fight, too? It seems I'll have to handle this." Jacob said, preparing to step forward, but he was stopped by Bloodman, the Grim Reaper. He addressed Ian, "I am the guide to the underworld."
Ian, intrigued, looked at Bloodman. "A demon from the Book of Zeref, second only to E.N.D., I presume? If I remember correctly, you can use all the Curses of the Nine Demon Gates of Tartaros."
"You're quite strong for a demon. But there can only be one strongest. I'm sorry, but there's no room for you."
Bloodman was momentarily surprised that Ian knew his identity. But his eyes were filled with mockery. "First Seal!"
Ian, knowing Bloodman's abilities, was naturally prepared. The moment the First Seal was released, countless skulls emerged from the ground, charging towards Ian.
However, they were instantly incinerated by a golden light, their souls devoured by the demon before them, their bodies reduced to ash.
It reminded Ian of his first encounter with Moria, with his army of zombies. A nostalgic smile flickered across his face.
He finally understood why Kaido sought death...
Bloodman took a step back, fear evident in his eyes. This man was too powerful. From the very beginning, he had displayed an overwhelming number of different magical abilities.
The Magic King could copy magic, and Zeref had learned countless spells over his long life, but he was most proficient in Black Magic.
But this demon… it seemed as if there was no magic he didn't know.
