"Hahaha, brothers, what a surprise!"

Seeing Shanuo's focused expression as he carefully wiped his sword, biggie couldn't help but laugh heartily. Turning to the pirates around him, he bellowed in his gruff voice, "Ahahaha, who would've thought that this young Shanuo, brought aboard by Red-Leg himself, is quite the swordsman!"

The pirates nearby followed biggie's gaze and noticed Shanuo leaning against the cabin, carefully handling his wooden sword. They immediately burst into laughter.

"Hey, hey, biggie's not wrong. He does have a sword, huh?"

"Haha, I never thought we'd have such a young swordsman aboard the Tado Pirate Ship."

"Don't say that! At least that wooden sword looks pretty decent~"

Shanuo could hear the laughter loud and clear, but his hands only paused for a moment. He glanced at Biggie before resuming his meticulous cleaning of the blade.

"These guys are really something else…"

Shanuo shook his head helplessly at the pirates' jeers, not taking them to heart. After all, he was too young compared to these bearded men. Being teased as a childish newcomer was only natural.

However…

What happened next was beyond his expectations.

Perhaps the monotony of life at sea, or the lack of excitement from Biggie's and Kaelar's quick spar earlier, spurred a yellow-haired youth with a lip piercing to suddenly turn to Bicchi with a lazy grin.

"Hey, Biggie, since it's so boring, why not let that kid over there spar with you?"

"Hmph, I see what you're doing. Too scared to fight me yourself, so you want to see Shanuo embarrassed instead?"

Biggie snorted coldly. However, when he noticed the surrounding pirates seemed interested in the idea, he scratched his chin indifferently and said, "Ah, fine. Nothing better to do anyway. Let's play along."

With that, Biggie turned to Shanuo, smirking as he shouted, "Hey, kid! You heard these idiots. Since you're a swordsman too, how about coming over for a few moves?"

To their surprise, Shanuo didn't show any signs of anger at Biggie's words. Instead, his eyes lit up slightly.

Ever since transmigrating into the world of pirates three years ago, Shanuo had been diligently honing his Wind Blade Swordsmanship. Despite his growing proficiency, he hadn't found a suitable opponent to spar with in Orange Town.

Now, these Tado Pirate Crew members, who were stronger and more experienced than average adults—and being on the same side meant no fatal blows—seemed like the perfect opponents to test his skills.

With this thought, Shanuo pressed his lips together, slowly stood up, and, under the astonished gazes of the onlookers, walked toward Biggie with his old wooden sword in hand.

"Ahaha, Shanuo, are you serious?" biggie was genuinely surprised, clearly not expecting Shanuo to agree so readily.

"Yeah."

Shanuo scratched his head, raising the wooden sword. "Uncle Biggie, weren't you the one who invited me? Don't tell me you're backing out now?"

"Spar? Heh, interesting. Alright, kid, I'll play with you. But using this sword…"

Biggie chuckled, glanced at the blade in his hand, and casually tossed it aside. Turning to Kaelar, he said boldly, "Hey, old man! Didn't you bring a few wooden swords for your son to practice with? Lend me one."

"Hah, you're as arrogant as ever, even after losing to me," Kaelar retorted, his thin face showing a trace of mockery. Though he teased Biggie, he didn't refuse. Kaelar entered the cabin and returned shortly with a half-human-sized bundle, tossing it to Biggie.

"Here, the wooden swords are all in here. Pick one."

"Hehe, much obliged."

Grabbing the bundle, Biggie rummaged through and pulled out a random wooden sword. "Alright, kid, let's begin."

Under the watchful eyes of the pirates, Biggie and Shanuo stepped to the center of the deck, standing opposite each other. The cool sea breeze swept across the deck, causing their clothes to flutter. Combined with Shanuo's focused expression, the scene actually carried a faint sense of a duel.

However, the onlookers didn't see it that way. To them, this was just humoring a child.

With playful grins, the pirates watched on. The yellow-haired youth who had suggested the match earlier even called out teasingly, "Hey, Biggie, don't forget, Shanuo was brought aboard by Red-Leg himself. If you injure him, you might get kicked back to Andrick Island!"

"Relax. Against a kid like this, I'll hold back," Biggie replied with a laugh. Turning his gaze back to Shanuo, he smirked at the boy's serious expression. "Kid, you heard them. Be careful, or the old man might come after me."

Shanuo simply nodded. "Got it. Let's start."

"Alright, kid, watch closely! Let me show you…"

Biggie grinned and raised his muscular arm, gripping the wooden sword tightly. Taking a deep breath, he roared as he swung the sword down in a powerful strike.

"…what real swordsmanship looks like!"

Clang!

A crisp sound echoed across the deck. The pirates, including biggie, let out soft gasps of surprise.

To their astonishment, Shanuo, seemingly small and frail, had reacted just in time. He stepped back slightly, raised his wooden sword, and firmly parried Bicchi's strike, halting the pirate's arm in mid-air.

"Well, well, not bad, Shanuo," biggie exclaimed dramatically, though it was clear he wasn't taking it seriously. After all, he had only used about 30% of his strength.

Retracting his sword swiftly, biggie smirked and steadied his stance, this time gripping the sword with both hands. He launched another heavy strike from a different angle.

Thud!

Once again, Shanuo blocked the attack with his wooden sword. However, the impact this time was much heavier. Beads of sweat appeared on his temples, and he clenched his teeth as he struggled to hold his ground.

"Such strength… This is troublesome…"

Sweat trickled down Shanuo's face as his grip on the sword tightened. Seeing Biggie's smug expression, he quickly made a decision.

"I can't take this head-on."

In a swift move, Shanuo withdrew his sword, sidestepped to the right, and dodged Bicchi's descending strike. Taking advantage of the opening, he launched a counterattack, thrusting his sword toward biggie's chest.

Swoosh!

His agility gave him the upper hand. Before biggie could react, Shanuo had executed an entire sequence of moves. Though biggie managed to block the final thrust with the hilt of his sword, it was clear that Shanuo's technique was far from amateurish.

After pulling back his blade, Shanuo exchanged another blow with biggie, their swords clashing violently in mid-air.

Diagonal slashes, counter-wind strikes, and rapid thrusts—Shanuo's movements became increasingly fluid, as if recalling the countless hours spent mastering the Wind Blade Swordsmanship. His attacks grew sharper, his footwork more precise, and his confidence soared.

"So this is… the thrill of combat…" Shanuo muttered to himself.

Every muscle in his body worked in perfect harmony, his blood surging like a roaring furnace. An indescribable exhilaration coursed through his veins, filling every fiber of his being.

It was utterly invigorating!

Sword after sword, their clash intensified. Flashes of swordlight and afterimages filled the air as the pirates' expressions shifted from amusement to surprise. It was clear now that Shanuo was far more skilled than his youthful appearance suggested.

"Hey, biggie, what's going on here?"

"Yeah, Shanuo's got some moves, but you should've won by now!"

"Don't hold back, or you'll lose!"

"Damn, did I underestimate him?"

Amid the jeers, biggie's face darkened. He knew better than anyone else—though he had refrained from using lethal techniques, he had been fighting with nearly his full strength. Yet, Shanuo had matched him blow for blow.

Sweat trickled down his forehead.

Clang!

Parrying another heavy strike, Shanuo glanced at his slightly numbed hand, exhaling deeply as clarity filled his eyes.

Calmly evading each of biggie's forceful swings, Shanuo analyzed his attacks, predicting the direction of each subsequent strike.

By now, biggie's straightforward techniques were completely memorized, leaving him with little room to surprise.

His weaknesses were exposed.

Everything was now under Shanuo's control.
