Hearing that Kuzan understood what he meant, Sakazuki nodded and continued:

"The last thing is to find the previous Shichibukai—Jinbei."

"This is a very important person. He has deep feelings for Fish-Man Island. Find a way to conquer him!"

"The soldiers of Fish-Man Island are a fighting force worth winning over!"

Now Fish-Man Island no longer has the protection of Whitebeard.

Many pirates are eyeing this place.

Sakazuki simply arranged some tasks for Kuzan and hung up the phone.

Then he took out a copy of Marine Administrative and Military Management Framework from the bookshelf on the right, returned to his desk, and started browsing.

The lonely lamp and shadow of the military parade book, the cold night, the cold wind, and the moon were his companions!

Kuzan no longer continued to soak in the bathhouse.

After quickly packing up his luggage, he immediately walked towards the entrance of Fish-Man Island.

We should fight unremittingly for justice on our own paths!

3,000 meters above Fish-Man Island.

In the thousands of meters of deep sea here, the sun cannot shine all year round.

There was no light at all; it was extremely dark.

Under the huge water pressure, the water flow was sometimes gentle and sometimes turbulent.

But in this pitch blackness, where you couldn't even see your fingers...

Suddenly, a pirate ship wrapped in bubbles appeared.

Then, a few voices came from the pirate ship, breaking the dead silence of the deep sea.

The behemoths of the deep sea surrounding the pirate ship were startled and moved away.

It seemed that there was something on this ship that could threaten these undersea overlords.

"Beckman, how far is it?" Shanks' voice sounded weak.

"We'll reach Fish-Man Island in about three thousand meters!"

"Shanks, just hang on. We can rest for a while on Fish-Man Island!"

Beckman first glanced around.

Then, looking at Shanks' face as pale as paper, he frowned and said in a worried tone.

Nobody knew what means the Red-Haired Pirates used to coat their pirate ship.

In a short time, they had escaped to the vicinity of Fish-Man Island.

Today, the Red-Haired Pirates' ship no longer had the hustle and bustle of the past.

The only core members of the pirate crew remaining were Captain Shanks and Vice Captain Ben Beckman.

The only other members of the pirate crew were one navigator and two shipwrights.

In other words, there were currently only five people on board this huge ship, the Red Force.

All others had been left behind on the Sabaody Islands forever.

The navigator and shipwright escaped only because they stayed on the ship.

The only ones who really escaped from Sakazuki were Shanks and Beckman.

"During the retreat, Lucky Roux still couldn't get rid of the Marine with the lightning ability, so he is probably in danger!"

Shanks sighed.

This loss could be described as unprecedentedly heavy.

In the end, Mr. Rayleigh's body was not recovered.

Even their original goal was not achieved.

There was an atmosphere of sadness on the ship.

Looking at Beckman, who was silent, Shanks felt very uncomfortable.

It seemed that ever since he went to Marineford during the war, everything had been going wrong.

First, the fight to the death with Magellan while rescuing Luffy, had left hidden problems.

Then came the news that Mr. Rayleigh had been murdered and humiliated.

Then, on the way to send Luffy to the training place, they were blocked by Kaido.

Now, they had been beaten so badly on the Sabaody Islands.

Shanks couldn't help but think.

From a trainee pirate in the Roger Pirates to his current status as one of the Four Emperors.

It was very rare to have such a heavy loss.

What exactly went wrong?

The pirate ship descended very quickly, and the outline of the huge island below could be vaguely seen.

Shanks looked at the flickering Fish-Man Island deep under the sea in the distance, with a strange light flashing in his eyes.

"Why do I have an unpleasant feeling in my heart?"

Just as Shanks was pondering the reason, Beckman's voice came.

"Shanks, we're here!"

Hearing Beckman's call, Shanks snapped out of his thoughts.

He noticed that the pirate ship was almost entering the entrance of Fish-Man Island.

The pirate ship landed smoothly without being attacked by the large Poseidon-level creatures.

Shanks and Beckman slowly walked off the pirate ship and observed the surrounding environment.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly.

But why is the uneasiness in my heart growing stronger and stronger?

Shanks became slightly wary.

As a top-tier expert, Shanks still trusted his sixth sense.

"Shanks, you...?" Beckman couldn't help but wonder when he saw Shanks looking uneasy.

Suddenly, Shanks' pupils shrank violently.

"Beckman, go quickly!!!"

Shanks warned Beckman and tried to board the ship immediately to start it and leave.

But it was too late.

"Ice Age!"

A burst of cold air came, and ice flowers were flying all over the sky.

The sea area behind the Red-Haired Pirates was instantly frozen, and the ice extended into the depths of darkness.

The Red Force also turned into a small iceberg.

"Ah, you are a guest, don't leave in a hurry!"

A figure walked slowly from the coral bushes in the distance.

The visitor had his hands in his pockets and a blindfold on his forehead, looking harmless.

Shanks looked at the figure walking toward him.

He glanced at the vast ice behind him again, and his expression grew particularly solemn.

Maybe I have to explain myself here...

"Admiral Marine, Aokiji!" Beckman said seriously, reaching for the flintlock gun on his waist.

Kuzan stopped about a dozen meters away from the Red-Haired Pirates.

He observed the exhausted Shanks and the bandaged Beckman and was slightly surprised.

I didn't expect Sakazuki to be able to severely damage the Red-Haired Pirates like this. If they're in this state, I can definitely win. Even with just two of them, it won't take much effort.

Kuzan pulled his hands out of his pockets and stood upright, shedding his usual lazy demeanor.

"This is the former Marine General. Please call me Kuzan!"

A faint mist of cold air escaped from Kuzan's mouth as he spoke in a chilling tone.

"So, you're not a Marine anymore. Why are you stopping here?" Shanks asked cautiously.

It was a very bad situation for them to face Kuzan in their current state.

"The Marines may have withdrawn, but justice remains!" Kuzan replied slowly.

At the same time, a cold wind swept through his coat, and frost began to form on everyone's bodies.

Murderous intent filled the air instantly.

Boom!

Beckman saw the frost forming on Kuzan's body and decisively pulled out his flintlock gun. He pulled the trigger.

The powerful seastone bullet shot at Kuzan's head at high speed.

In less than half a second, the bullet flew past and shattered Kuzan's head into icy fragments.

But neither Shanks nor Beckman let their guard down.

"Violent Pheasant Beak!"

Kuzan's figure quickly re-formed in front of the two of them.

His right hand instantly condensed into ice, the overwhelming chill spreading outward.

Then, he launched a violent attack on the injured Shanks.

A massive ice bird, several meters long and flapping its huge wings, dove toward the weakened Shanks.

But Beckman stepped forward and placed himself in front of Shanks.

Using the flintlock's handle, he barely managed to deflect the power of the ice bird.

Looking at Beckman standing before him, Shanks endured the pain in his body and reluctantly pulled out his sword, preparing for a life-or-death clash with Kuzan.
