----------

Orange Town.

Nami, her short orange hair flying behind her, sprinted through the streets of Orange Town with several pirates hot on her trail.

The chase was due to her latest escapade—stealing the Grand Line chart Buggy's crew had stolen from Captain Morgan.

"Thief! Where do you think you're going?"

Despite her speed, Nami found herself cornered by a group of pirates.

Just as panic began to creep in and she considered her options, something—or rather, someone—fell from the sky, landing with a loud thud and a cloud of dust.

It was Luffy.

Seeing the perfect opportunity to shift the blame, Nami couldn't help but smirk.

Just as she was about to convince the pirates that the newcomer was her boss, another burst of wind came from above. This time, it wasn't a person—it was a boat.

Ikki and Zoro's ship crashed directly into the group of pirates, scattering them with a resounding boom. The pirates sprawled across the ground, incapacitated by the impact.

Once again, Ikki's justice points increased.

"Ikki, what the hell are you doing?!" Zoro growled as he stood, rubbing his aching legs.

Ikki shrugged nonchalantly. "You're fine, aren't you? If a little thing like this bothers you, how are you going to become the world's greatest swordsman?"

Before Zoro could respond, Luffy rushed over, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Ikki! Zoro! What was that? It looked amazing! You've got to take me along next time!"

"Sure, sure…" Ikki waved him off, his attention shifting to Nami.

When he spotted her, he narrowed his eyes and pointed dramatically. "You there! Thief! Hand over the 20 million berries you stole from me!"

Nami froze, her expression blank.

"Who… who even are you?" she snapped, utterly baffled. She had stolen her fair share of treasures, but she didn't recognize this young man at all. And 20 million berries? She had never stolen that much in one go.

"Don't act innocent!" Ikki retorted. "I'm not talking about cash—I'm talking about 20 million worth of gems!"

To prove his point, Ikki pulled out a letter of appointment from the Private Marines, brandishing it like a badge. "Nami, you're under arrest!"

Nami leaned in to scrutinize the letter, her confusion quickly replaced by shock.

The letter officially appointed Luffy as a Private Marine Fleet Admiral, with two Private Marine Admirals under his command.

The name of the second Admiral? Roronoa Zoro.

Before allowing Zoro to join his crew, Ikki had made him sign the appointment letter, officially enlisting him in his Private Marine organization.

Unbeknownst to Zoro, every act of justice he performed—every pirate defeated—added justice points to Ikki's tally.

Recovering from her shock, Nami put on a nervous smile. "You've got the wrong person! I'm no thief!"

Without waiting for a response, she spun around and bolted.

As Nami fled, memories of her past bubbled to the surface. Her adoptive mother, Bell-mère, had been a Marine soldier. Though Bell-mère was kind, Nami's experiences with the Marines were far from positive.

If Nami hated pirates above all else, the Marines weren't far behind.

It was because of the Marines' corruption—especially their collusion with Arlong—that the Fish-Man had been able to terrorize her hometown, Cocoyasi Village, for so many years.

Seeing Nami dart away, Ikki smirked and said to Luffy, "That girl's a pretty skilled navigator."

Luffy's eyes lit up at the mention of a navigator. Without hesitation, he took off after Nami.

But after just a few steps, he collapsed to the ground.

"So… so hungry! Ikki, do you have anything to eat?"

Ikki sighed, clearly exasperated, before pulling some food out of his cozy cabin and handing it to Luffy.

After wolfing down the food, Luffy sprang to his feet, his energy fully restored.

"Alright! Where is she? Where's my navigator?" he shouted, spinning around with renewed excitement.

Ikki crossed his arms and smirked. "She ran off ages ago."

Luffy didn't seem discouraged by this. Instead, he chuckled. "Hehehe… I've got a feeling we'll run into her again!"

Elsewhere.

After escaping the streets of Orange Town, Nami retrieved the Grand Line nautical chart she had stolen.

Though the chart was valuable, it was useless to her at the moment. Frustrated, she gritted her teeth before making a decision.

"This won't help me now… I need a better way to make money."

Her primary goal was still clear: she had to collect 100 million berries to free Cocoyasi Village from Arlong's grip.

Resolute, Nami approached the Buggy Pirates, handing over the chart as a gesture of surrender. Her excuse? She had split from her "three former partners."

The so-called partners were, of course, Luffy, Zoro, and Ikki.

Her plan was simple but brilliant: pit the Buggy Pirates against those three self-proclaimed Marines while she sneaked into Buggy's treasure room and stole everything.

As she expected, Buggy believed her story and sent his trusted subordinate, Mohji, and his lion companion, Richie, to hunt down the trio.

"Navigator, where are you…"

Luffy wandered aimlessly through the streets, shouting loudly every few steps.

Zoro, growing increasingly irritated, glanced at Ikki. "Does he always act like this?"

Ikki shrugged. "You'll get used to it."

Before Zoro could reply, a massive lion appeared, carrying a man on its head. The man wore a ridiculous hood, sitting confidently on the lion's mane.

It was none other than Mohji the Beast Tamer, with Richie by his side.

"You there, Straw Hat! Are you Nami's former partner?" Mohji asked coldly.

"Nami? Oh, yeah! She's our navigator. I'm still looking for her. Do you know where she is?" Luffy replied with a cheerful grin.

The straightforward admission made Mohji's eye twitch. He wasn't interested in a conversation.

"Richie, attack!" he commanded.

The massive lion roared and swung a claw at Luffy, but Luffy dodged with ease and countered with a powerful Gum-Gum Pistol. The punch sent Mohji flying off Richie's head, landing him right in front of Ikki and Zoro.

As Luffy continued to toy with Richie, Ikki knelt beside Mohji, tilting his head curiously as he examined the man's "hood."

Mohji groaned. "Ow… What are you doing, you b*****d?"

"Huh? Isn't this a hood?" Ikki asked, reaching out.

"That's my hair, you idiot! It's just really thick!"

Ikki blinked. "Oh, got it!"

With that mystery solved, Ikki delivered a clean punch to Mohji's face, knocking him unconscious.

Meanwhile, Luffy, clearly done with playing, used a spinning attack to knock Richie unconscious as well, leaving the lion sprawled on the ground, out cold.
